PoliticsUnited States Of AFRICA, A Ruse & Deceitful. by mogentle(op): 10:33am On Feb 13, 2009
U need to read this:

Gaddafi and the United States of AfricaBy Kingsley Ogbuji

THE proposition for a United States of Africa being spearheaded by the self-acclaimed King of Kings, Maummar Gaddafi of Libya, has been attracting reactions from various quarters around the continent. This idea, which is solely Gaddafi's, canvasses for a federal or central government for the whole continent, a common currency and common passport, among other ideas. What he (Gaddafi) has not disclosed to heads of states is that after he succeeds with his current agenda, the next line of action he will pursue will be a case for common official language, which will be Arabic. This idea will make it mandatory for all federating units within the so-called union to make Arabic their official language, including making it the language of instruction in schools.

What is enigmatic about this weird idea is not only the hidden ploy to make Gaddafi the King of Kings of the United States Of Africa, but the fact that the Arab world, which seems to be advancing this cause, using Gaddafi as a tool, does not even have the interest of black Africa at heart. It is the same Arab world instigating the genocide in Dafur that is also propagating the conscription of too many African countries with substantial Muslim population into the Organisation Of Islamic Countries (OIC) despite the tension this will generate in such countries among the various religions that make those countries pluralistic.

If African Heads of States cannot read the legible hand writing on the wall, at least the vigour and vehemence with which Gaddafi is pursuing this idea should make them suspicious. If a country like Nigeria (which multi-ethnic diversity has made it cumbersome for the people to come together as one indeed), is still grappling with its practice of federalism, how much more cumbersome will it be for a continent with more than 5,000 ethnic groups to achieve this illusionary idea of a federation?

One wonders about this sudden enthusiasm which has overtaken Gaddafi given the fact that his government has been involved in brutality against Africans from other countries who found themselves legally or illegally in Libya. A lot of Nigerians and other Africans in search of greener pastures have been brutalised, dehumanised and tortured; some killed while the lucky ones got deported. If Gaddafi had shown some iota of mercy to these Africans who sneaked into Libya, maybe we would not have read much meaning into this idea being touted by him. If he has had this dream of a united Africa for a long time, then it contradicts the treatment he metes out to young Africans who find themselves in Libya in search of livelihood.

This is the time for African leaders to rise against this "absolute monarchy" which Gaddafi is trying to enthrone, as what we know about this idea is far smaller than what we are yet to know about it, which ultimately will be the greatest mistake of the century. What Africa needs at this time is a commitment by her leaders in their individual countries to be more responsive to the plight of their citizenry; leaders who understand that strong and massive infrastructural development is one of the panacea to our problems of underdevelopment and unemployment; leaders who understand that the natural endowments and resources in their countries were deposited by God for the common good of the people; leaders who know that the greatest evil that can be perpetrated against humanity is to starve them in the midst of plenty; leaders who understand that power belongs to the people and the opportunity to serve is mere privilege.

What Africa and Africans need at this time is focused and empathetic leadership in their individual countries, with policies that make it easy for trans-regional interaction and business transaction, not an Africa under a single government with Gaddafi as the King of Kings.

FamilyRe: Is It Bad To Reveal Your Salary Package To Your Spouse by mogentle(m): 10:10am On Feb 12, 2009
Consider This:

A man put all he has in care of his wife for several years on trust and there was no problem.

Later, after many years, a rumour came up (with enough genuine pictures) that the man was dating another woman & even pregnant. The man denied it. But with a little confirmation from a wrong source, the woman went ahead and sold
the properties, withdrew the savings, and escaped with children(two) leaving the man on Zero level.

She only came back after some time to beg the man, that was when she met the said woman and she dicovered that the pregnant woman in the picture is her husband's friend's wife.

No be God save the man?
I beg run your family with wisdom
Human being is still human, not Angel. cool

Don't go for the DNA Test, it could (if the boy is not urs) open up a can of worms.
Just accept it like that, since you've asked your wife and she denied it, why not let sleeping dogs lie and 4get about it. Besides it is because you already have the conviction that your son is a bastard that you NOTICED that your wife's ex looks like your son.
The boy might be yours.
And if you decide to go for the DNA and it turns out that the boy is urs, it would be disastrous o!
And what if the real father later appears! shocked shocked
And u know people like that could be bold when the child turn out to be a glorious child.
He will now say I Am The Real Owner, after u've spent a whole of life time to bring up the child.

As for the cost of DNA test , maybe Doctors could help.

RomanceHow Lucky Or Blessed Are You In Relationship? by mogentle(op): 1:52pm On Jan 09, 2009
Lucky people meet their soul mates. Luckier people fall in love and are loved back. Those who get married to their loved ones are blessed. Those who keep the ones they love forever are more blessed. And those who realise the peace of mind and serenity that come with a happy fulfilling love relationship are the luckiest and the most blessed.

PoliticsHorror In Ogun State, Police Killed Innocent Woman In Exchange For Robbers. by mogentle(op): 9:34am On Dec 16, 2008
The incident happened on Friday 12 Dec 2008, Armed robbers came to a bank in Sagamu to Rob.The news got to the policemen. During the gun battle btw the police and the robbers, one innocent woman was killed by the policemen near the petrol station(she went there to buy fuel for the generator of the farm where she works). The next thing, the police stopped chasing the thieves, they carried the woman in their van, dressed her with charms and paraded her as the leader of the gang. Pls I cannot continue,.,.,.,.,.,.,It's too pathetic cry cry cry.
The picture of his corpse was put on the front page of Sunday Tribune 14 Dec.

More:
http://www.tribune.com.ng/16122008/news/news17.html

Funmilayo (a.k.a Mama Salewa), an employee of Demirs Farms in Sagamu, who was on errand to buy fuel for the generator in the farm and was felled by crossfire between the police and armed robbers, was laced with amulets and charms to make the police made case that she led the robbery operation at a bank in Sagamu.

“It is more shocking that even when Funmilayo’s employer, Mrs. Blessing Alawode, went to the police to identify her and tell the true story of her identity and mission as of the time of the incident, the police pushed her out of the station, dismissing her as a mad woman.

“As if to prove that the insanity crisis was on the police side and not on Funmilayo’s employer, the police were alleged to have shot Funmilayo’s corpse on the side to give the impression that she was killed in a shootout. Those who took her photograph when she was killed by stray bullets insist that she had neither bullet wound on her side nor the amulets and charms the police paraded her with,” the statement said.

ARG(Afenifere Renewal Group) said it was unfortunate that instead of the police to admit that it had lost the war against robbers, as evident in the spate of robbery cases in Oyo and Ogun states, it had resorted to the killing of innocent citizens and defaming their memories as armed robbers.

The group, therefore, demands justice for Funmilayo, adding that “we call on Mr. Okiro to institute a thorough probe into this dastardly act.”
