Your case is different in Jesus name. No body here can tell u y chances of getting visa, just do y best and leave the rest to God. But be ready to tackle the question by the VO on travel history of family, bc the VO might ask if u av travelled as a family before or as a couple, get ready to know what u will answer. All the best

Hi, I applied for UK visa and did my biometrics on the 10th of May, I received an email from Shefo that my application has been received and being prepared for review by ECO and that a mail will be sent once a decision is made.. but until this moment I have not heard from them or the TLS.
Am a little worried not knowing a decision has been made and no mail to me and also don't know how to track it on TLS website.. please our gurus in the house I need ur advice here. Thanks

Which visa type did u apply for?
Normally if it is tourist visa it takes just 15 working days. When I submitted this Feb, I only received the 1st mail that my application av bin received, then the last mail was my visa is ready for collection.
Atimes if it is taking time to come out, there are many people that applied, especially now that summer is around the corner.
For the tracking check the website and see if u can find it, the last I applied a sister assisted me to track it. Other house members can contribute.

Hello house, Please is it compulsory to have huge closing balance in my statement of account when applying for a visitor's visa . It is a salary account with reasonable amount coming in and going out monthly.

No issue on that only if u can explain to the ECO the inflow of income apart from your monthly salary. If they are huge amount coming in, write a cover note or u state it in the additional information in the application about the source of the money

Good afternoon house. I had my interview today. The VO at Windows 11 Lagos wasn't smiling. The first thing he did was that he collected my passport and he checked if I had Visa's on my slip. He just dropped it on his table. He quickly checked is computer for my previous application which I was denied. Base on my own assumption, I feel because I filled a no, on my DS 160 form where I was asked if I have an immediate relative, which I thought means younger brother or sister in the US who is a citizen not knowing it means a Spouse of a US citizen. Anyways I had corrected that sha. My interview goes thus.

VO: what is the address you are going to stat in the US?
Me: I told him
VO: What is the purpose of your trip
Me: I want to go visit my mum who is having some health issues.......she lives with my sister who is a citizen of the United States and she had sent me an invitation to this regard.

Me: 9 days and I am coming back to prepare for my final exams and NYSC.
VO: Are you married

VO: Do you have kids?
Me: No
VO: Sorry I wont be approving your Visa gives me a blue slip.
I kept wondering what went wrong. I wasn't asked sponsorship and all the rest. It pained me sha.

Sorry about that. You d'nt av any strong tie. She av gone through your application and weight it, no much tie, two of your family are in USA, not sure if u will come back. The pain takes one month to heal. Lol! So better look for something to cheer u up.

When did they get the refusal? If it less than 6months, u will not be able to book appointment, u will have to wait after 6months u book for them. That is the new rules now.

The 10% is calculated and equal amount of the money is giving to me as drugs which I sell to my existing customers to get my money.
I.e the company pays salary with products at the end of the month which I sell to my customers to get my cash.

The 70k don't come into my account directly from the company but I sell the products equivalent giving to me by the company to pay the cash into my account by myself

There is tax deduction from the pay. We usually sign payslips anytime we visit head office for a meeting

It's a one man business where the owner of the business send one of the staff at the office to pay expense to my account. Getting to the bank the staff will pay in her name to my account

I'm supposed to receive payment of 23k as expense monthly but it's not pay on regular basis.

The above is for salary and expense.

There is also sales commission if particular targets is meant. but I get at least 20k extra sales commission every month.

In total 70k + 23k+20k is the least I get from my company every month. But this is giving to as a product/drugs which I sell to my customer and pay the money to my savings account.

The other freelancing I get at least 150k gain every month. I have invoices for the sales of the freelancing too. It's a friend a pharmacy invoice booklet I use for that co a she gives me the products.

I will advice u not to state it like this in your cover letter. ECO wants regular payment *I'm supposed to receive payment of 23k as expense monthly but it's not pay on regular basis*. U can use the 23k as other money that y clients pays into your account for the 2nd job. Well, every explanation balls down on the contract letter given to u. If it state other expenses, u will av to state it but try to modify it in away that the 23k is usually pay every 3months. Try to collect the payslips for 6months and verify if all is accurate. Bc if there are different payments and deduction in the payslip every month, u will need to explain.

I will advice u to reduce the duration of y stay on your application. Bc VO might not be happy with that 4months as a young person, they will think u will work during your stay and might not like to come bk especially this one u want to visit your sister. My advice just reduce the duration of stay in y application. Normally u are been stamp for 6months when u get to d point of entry. So u can stay 4months.

Which link are u using to book appointment? Are u using the DS-160 link or the schedule appointment link? Ps check. If u are trying to book appointment, there is nothing like start application, u only get start application on the DS-160. For the link to schedule appointment, ps visit the website click on schedule appointment and register as new user with y mummy Gmail account and fill in the details and book appointment.
For the DS-160 click the link, slect location where u will be applying for the visa, then click on start application, save the application ID generated, answer security question and go ahead and fill the application. The application ID u will use it to schedule appointment, make sure u keep saving the application to retain d application ID.

There is no any particular computer that is required for DS-160. U can even use your smart phone to fill it. I use my smart phone in filling all my form, then when I am done, I use labtop to upload the scanned passport and print out. Most time I prefer using Chrome than UC browser. Chrome opens it faster on my phone, So can use Chrome.

U upload the pic as soft copy. U can scan the hard copy of passport and upload.

No need for her using agent, the application is very easy, just be careful in filling all details and let her get familiar with interview questions by reading this thread from part 1-3. All the best to her

U av chances of getting b1/B2 visa , u av a recent traveling history but family ties are very important. Since u are single I guess, u must av a good stable job,with years of experience, u can use y job as tie.
On the other hand, since u are about ending nysc, I will advice u to use a sponsor , with that u are good to go

I'm about to apply for a six months family visit visa, have a sister inviting, will stay at her place, she has sent an invitation, residence permit scan, her tenancy agreement and utility bill.

I've once been denied entry in 2014 cos I had graduated and was having no job yet.

I want to apply this time for family visit of 2weeks and I have these:

1. CAC business name registration cert reg in 2015
My brother and I own the business and have the registration in our details.
2. Tax clearance documents for the past three years
3. Business account with good opening and closing balance.
4. Savings account, as this is where I receive monthly salary from our business as well as profits made from deals made aside the monthly salary.
5. Letter of self introduction and consent letter from my brother as we both run the business, pls *do I need a letter from the bank also as we're both signatories to the business account*
6. Landed properties and vehicle document papers.
7. Pictures, invoices, receipts and other documents as proof of business.
8. Family pictures.
9. I lost the old visa refusal letter but have the number still on my passport and will make reference to it as I still know details of reasons for refusal.
10. Birth certificate of both of us and pictures with sister as proof of relationship.
11. I'm 28 and not married

Well to me u are good to go. I will like you to get the letter of the bank for the signatory. Also in your saving account if u can make a 6 months payslip to show the amount u are paid monthly, it will be good bc it will help the ECO to see the document that state the monthly salary tally with the same amount in your savings. U can also write a cover note and explain other side money u receive in your savings. Others can also contribute. All d best.

Then u made mention that the expense is paid directly to your account but usually the staff pays in her name. I am sorry I d'nt understand this statement. Do u mean the company paid with your name? Or u collect the money in cash and pay as self to y account? Ps explain better.
U also stated that the expense may not be paid untill 3months right? This expensive that is paid untill 3months how much are u surpose to be paid monthly for it?
Then for the 2nd job u av to be specific how much u make. If it is 80 or 150. U av to specific. If u know u make 150k more every month, u state to ECO that u make at least 150k monthly or if it is 80k u make more state it. U av to know the exact amount u get from all sources of income every month.
My advice, talk to HR of y company or any one incharge of staff recruitment to state your payslip for your commission , the tax deduction and gross pay u make and the net after tax deduction. Beacuse if all these are not properly documented I see a refusal bc UK ECO likes organised and explainory pay slip. All the best

Barcode means the application ID generated during the time u started filling your DS-160 application. That is the one u used to scheduled your appointment. After filling your DS-160, then u submit and print out, the application ID now becomes your confirmation number in a bar code. The same appears on your schedule appointment with confirmation number bar code. So if the both does not tally with the same barcode numbers u are send bk. So make sure u check yours to confirm. Normally it is advisable to fill the DS-160 application, submit and use the confirmation number to schedule appointment but some of us make mistake scheduling appointment without saving our application to retain the number or u can not remember the security question, these makes us av different bar code. If u did not save, after 30 days the application will close or if u can not remember the security ans, u can not retrieve the application, so many pple av to open another application with diff application ID generated, so they forget to change it on their appointment and this make them to av different barcode.
Due to the appointment dates move fast and one need to grab it on time I will advice pple scheduling appointments to fill in the DS-160, save the application ID, use it to fill y appointment, then always SAVE any time u open your application, this will help u retain your application every 30days, write down the security ans in your dairy or always make sure u choose security question u can easily remember ps. On the other hand if u are not in a hurry to travel just fill your form, print out the confirmation and then schedule appointment with the confirmation barcode.

U will have to start from 6months to proceed to two years, then u can jump 5years and do 10 years if u are a frequent traveler, all depends on y pocket for 10years. UK can not give u 2years as first timer tourist visa, u av to start with 6months to build their trust on u that u will go and come bk.

For u to book appointment u must av filled your DS-160 application, the application ID generated from DS-160 application, u will use it to schedule your appointment, make payment in GTB bank. Visit the website, click on schedule appointment and register as new user, make use of y Gmail account to register it. U will see available date for Lagos, u can also put Abuja and see the available date, the location is your choice.Fill all the details required and put in your correct confirmation number from y bank receipt and application ID from your DS-160. Then any location u choose go ahead and schedule the appointment, and the appointment confirmation will be sent to your email of choice. Ps make sure your schedule appointment and DS-160 av the same bar code. All d best

U can only apply in Dubai if you have a stay there. Like work permit or resident permit. U can not apply as a visitor.
U can only apply when u have very strong ties there. Strong tie like family, u are married and y kids are with u, u av a very good and stable job u av been for a longtime, u av a good professional job etc.
U can only apply if u av stayed a long time in Dubai.
If u d'nt av all these just apply in your Nigeria.

Also there is also payment for the goods by customers into my account with their business name sometimes.

With this 2 jobs I made over 250k in a month and I have invitation letter from my niece and I will be staying in their house. She is also married.

I have 1m in my account, married but going alone. Please how can I prove my source of income to convince them I'm actually working?

Are u employed as a permanent staff or contract staff?
This commission money u make, did y company pay the money monthly in y account or u are paid cash at hand?
Then the 2nd job how much do u make monthly?

Yes u can add the freelancing to your application as your second source of income.

Yes the hubby wants her to come. She said the hubby came to uk through contract marriage and by then he has not got his permanent resident. It was the Australian lady that brought him and he got a work visa in uk and they disolved the marriage. He decided to get married to my friend because they know each other before from Nigeria. So no permanent stay in uk for now only work permit. He has stayed about 5years in uk and trying to bring her in but he is unable to that bc of no permanent resident yet. He has try to fill for it again.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The guy will have to go back to Austria to get citizenship and then come back to UK. For you to get permanent residence in The UK, you need to have a clean record. They will do a credit check and if they discover he has been involved in fraud, they will not grant him. If you have ordinary driving offences, it will affect your application not to mention 40k wire.

This is so sad. Thanks for this information. Do that mean she can not join her hubby again in the UK since a check will be run on his credit fille So what can she do to join her hubby. This is so sad for her. However the guy in question av stayed about 5years in uk and how can he go bk to Austria and start another life and years to get a stay.not easy at all. Health care assistant is not a bad job, it pays between £15 - £20 per hour, if employed in a hospital. And as low as £10 per hour, if employed in a residential/nurshing home.

What type of visa does he hold?

She said he is from EU family (Austria) and got a working visa which he do renew every 2 or 5years. That he has stayed now in uk for 5years but applied for permanent stay last year, was refused, so he is planning to re-apply again to get it and fill for her.
