Thank you so much Justi, I really appreciate it. I don't have any IT background so I guess this isn't for me, lol. i'll keep my ears to the ground though and I hope that something will come out soon. Thank you. justi4jesu: Monday, October 21, 2013 |
justi4jesu: @monchouchou you are welcome et vous parlez francais?Hehehe, no no no Francais, lol. Had a friend studying French in school and dats how I got the nickname. As for my visa, I was not sponsored by the airline, that's why I wanted to know more about the age restrictions. |
justi4jesu: Saturday, October 19, 2013Thanks for posting the walkin interviews Justi4jesu, we really appreciate your efforts. |
finecheek12: Ause everibody don abandon me to my fate!Finecheek dear, it is well. I know how you feel and how tense you must be right now. I still believe that there is something good in store for us, so this is not the time for us to give up or be weary. Cheer up girl and keep the fighting spirit alive! |
justi4jesu: Yes you can do it indirectly and both airlines have a way around it.Ok great. |
namqul: @ ogapakpakta and monchuchu i will say respect unto ur names, dis words of encouragement is enuf 4 me 2 excell thanks i will give my ogapatapakta call today. RESPECT MAN....Thanks and good luck!! |
Shinner2010: Hello Room, i have only secondary school result and my passport, is it possible for me to get UAE visa, and where to start?Hi, start from page 1. All you need to know and do have been stated repeatedly. Good luck |
ogakpatakpata: .Lol, in that case, Mr. Namqui, I suggest you give them both blue, black and brown envelops . ![]() |
@Ogakpatakpata, oh really? Thought it was restricted to just Etihad cus I travelled with Emirate and the issue of age never even came up. @namqui, I think you should give Ogakpatakpata a call so he can put you thru on how to go about it. Cheers!! |
justi4jesu: Yes really if you want to directly get your visa from them that's the age limit, but so many people have their way round it but Etihad don't directly issue visas below those said ages but only through a sponsor or company. I have also seen below those age limits but Etihad doesn't support it.Ok , if you say Etihad doesn't directly support it, what about indirectly? I mean behind the scenes if he can contact one of the staff directly and grease their palms then they will get the visa for him. Also is it a uniform policy for all airlines? What about Emirates? |
@Justi4jesu, really? But I know a lot of 21-22yr old girls that come to dubai unaccompanied. So how do they now get their visas? ¯\..(•͡.̮ •͡ )../¯ justi4jesu: Yes if a male is not upto 23years and also if the female is not up to 25years old, if below those ages then he or she should be accompanied by a parent. |
@finecheek12, please don't be discouraged and don't give up yet. It is well in Jesus Name. finecheek12: Don't see any light @ d end of the tunnel |
@ola30' thanks. I pray that I'll be able to share my own goodnews here soon ![]() ola30: @monchuchuo. |

Dr. Dre: |
Lol, I really don't know ¯\..(•͡.̮ •͡ )../¯ and I find it weird cus I can't imagine a guy would have an on-line name like mine. Dr. Dre: |
I'm female oh! Lolnamqul: @ monchuchu bro no be say i dey fear o, even seyi law don talkam say na airport arival side na there u go c big man 4 naija wey humble theirself, so am jst trying 2 humble myself and ask enuf question before i enter dubai market |
Oh! So you are even a big bross sef, lol abeg no vex oh! Hehehe namqul: Hahaha ogapatapata haa i no b small boy now. U knw naija guys nw we like to reduce our age wen doing tins nw |
@Namqul, honestly the kind of fear you are exhibiting is enough for them to either refuse your visa application or demand for more than Mr. Biggs. With the kind of information other forumites have given here, you should be very confident in yourself. This is ordinary airline staff oh! What will now happen when you get to immigration? Lol. See even 18 and 19yr olds flock to dubai not to talk of an old man of 21yrs, lol namqul: @ monchuchu and ogapatapata plus sammee. Thanks ok. U mean age has notting to do wit visit visa to dubai ok if u are 21years it dosn't mean dat is what u are telling me? |
@Namqul, give us the full facts and maybe u'll get the answers u seek. An unmarried single is a person that is not married. Shikena. Age has never been a deciding factor for the issuance of visit visas to dubai, unless the person is an unaccompanied minor (child) so what exactly are you asking sir.... namqul: What do u mean by unmarried single? And if u some1 is below 25 year they won't issue visa 2 u? Pls house i need answer. |
@Ogakpatakpata, thanks! Have a lovely stress free day as wellogakpatakpata: @monchouchou..................hahahahahaha; you are certainly not running away,l shall personally come and pick you when we have meetings, you have so much upstairs that l know will be relevant during our meetings, l am glad, l have succeeded in pulling you out of your shell to be commenting in the forum, l understand your job situation, be cheerful, hopeful, enthusiatic and do the needful and am sure you wont stay longer than necessary in the labour market.Enjoy your day. |
@Ogakpatakpata, thanks. Truly truly it will be amazing to have such a network. Like you said earlier, the Filipinos, Indians and Pakistanis act like a cult. I have an Indian friend who told me openly that she would ask around and see what she can come up with. Truly amazing. Nigerians are known to be hustlers and hard workers so if they can do it, we can do it much better. But great and serious steps will have to be taken to ensure that the network is not abused. There are many Nigerians in top positions here in Dubai who can be of help but they will only come out to assist the network if they are sure that their goodwill will not be abused. I applaud your initiative and I hope Imcan help in future but for now, let me go and join @ Finecheek in the job market ![]() ogakpatakpata: @monchouchou...............l know that too well, it is not impossible, but, there will be a good frame work to plug all those loop holes, haven discussed with you several times over the phone , l know you will be a useful resource person in the association when it eventually takes off, l am also looking at the possibility of partnering with a limited liability licence holder to register/partner/affiliate to him so that we are legally registered in the UAE,although, that will be in the future and not immediately considering the huge amount required to acquire an LLC licence. |
@namqui, please don't get it twisted. Even though it has been advised that intending dubai job seekers carry enough cash because of the likelihood that they might have to pay to secure a job, there are many jobs that you can get without paying a dime and there are also many people looking for who to bribe to get jobs. So don't assume that once you have money to pay you will immediately have a job as that is not the case. Pray, Prepare and most importantly, network. As a semi-introvert networking has been my greatest challenge because I tend to be a bit shy sometimes but this forum has made me realise that there is no room for sitting in my room all day and applying for jobs online. I wish you the best. namqul: Please house from my own point of view what am seeing here is, IF U GET MONEY, TO SECURE JOB IN DUBAI IS NOT HARD? Please enlighten me more I WANT TO LEARN B4 I JUMP TO DUBAI |
Good morning lovely people. @ Ogakpatakpata, having such a network for Nigerians will be great. I just hope that people will not start abusing it. A likely scenario will be where agents start making money of the goodwill of people in the union. |
@naijamedrep, thank you very much. Words like these help to give us hope and keep our aluta spirit fighting , [quote author ......@finecheek/@finecheek2.....@monchouchou...The Lord is your strenght and He indeed want to use your present situation to prove to the world what He is capable of. Don't loose hope, the reason we encounter delay in achieving our heart-desire most time is because we carry higher anointing. You guys will explode in no distant time. The challenges you are facing right now will gear and strengthen you whenever you get a job. It's well![/quote] |
@Ogakpatakpata, thanks once again for your encouraging words. Truly it can get discouraging at some point especially when you get discriminated against because you are Nigerian. I look forward to the day we Nigerians will build our own solid network of support to help each each other the way the Indians and Filipinos look out for themselves. Cheers!!!! ogakpatakpata: @finecheek & monchouchou; keep on keeping on,hope against hope, and don't let the contradictory situations around you affect you, l know there are so many negative news, lack of jobs, racial profiling and discriminations against some ethnic groups in terms of job in the UAE,but, just like l did say over the phone to the two of you, it is never over until it is over, keep applying for jobs, carry a positive mindset, do all we have suggested here and play your cards every well, we shall soon hear the good news from your end. See you at the top. Have a pleasant week ahead. |
@just4jesu, it's very interesting. So after he sends his gullible clients on a plane to dubai, who is going to take care of them here. Mr. Jeffc4real, you want to come and add to the pool of stranded migrants in dubai right? SMH justi4jesu: Hahaha this is getting interesting... |
lol, I should be the one thanking you and not the other way around. Thank you for lifting my spirits. I will do my best to assist other forumites as well. cheers!!!! ogakpatakpata: @Monchouchou...............................thanks for calling and your kind words of encouragement, l honestly value and appreciate all you said to me, wow!! l now know we have intelligent and smart people online, l think l will be referring questions to you henceforth, how come you stay at the back ground, please do contribute, we need you to keep this thread lively, once again, thanks a bunch for your words and goodwill to me and l will continue to be a servant of this honourable kingdom. |
Hi everyone, I just had a long chat with Ogakpatata and I must say, he is very friendly and accommodating. He is someone you can talk to when you are feeling down and he'll encourage you not to give up. Forgive me if it seems like I'm 'washing ' him, lol. It's just that it's not a trait I see often in Nigerian staying abroad. God continually bless you. Oh and just incase any other person was thinking otherwise, I'm female oh cus he thought I was male, lol. |
@Ogakpatakpata, thank you very much. I really appreciate the concern you show for the well-being of people that are total strangers to you. It shows the kind of good heart you have. I might give you a call later today. Tanxs! ogakpatakpata: @monchouchou................keep your hope alive,if l see or hear of any green light for jobs, l will get back to you. |
@Yinkagbo, congratulations!! @Ogakp, thanks, will look around for that, although I'm not really on a time crunch and ajman is quite far from where I stay. |
