frostmate: You can call immigration directly on their hotline.True….but I was looking for the easy way to get the info. |
![]() justi4jesu: na so me too see am oh. |
justi4jesu: Yes i read it on Gulf news and here is the link to the visa fees they will be charging. Thanks Most of the sites only give information about the fees. They don't say anything about how it will be implemented and what it entails ![]() |
justi4jesu: Airlines will certainly book you to cover the period of your visa. Meaning if your visa is for 1month be ready for them to book 1month hotel for you especially Emirates. But if you can search and go through hotels, they can arrange your visa and you just book 2 or 3night stay without even paying yet until you arrive dubai.Justi, do you have any clear information regarding these new visas they want to start issuing? Especially the Multiple entry work visa (Although I heard its going to be restricted to some countries) Also to the person that tried to send me a mail (sorry I can't remember your moniker), please ask your questions here biko. |

abivic: Please do I have to do attestation of my certificates in both Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education? Is it mandatory to do the two? ThanksIf you are talking about Educational Certificates, I don't think Min of Foreign Affairs will even attest it without it first being attested at the Ministry of Education…. |
TIDTID: Hi to you all, can someone help on how to get a visa to Dubai or Qatar, I am a registered Nurse with BNSC.Y not register for the DHA/MOH Nursing exam and sit for it back in Nigeria before thinking of traveling? There are a lot of medical opportunities for nurses here so I think it will be worth it for you. |
justi4jesu: Sorry you wey enjoy pass me, spent just 2 days in Oman for Eid and came back to dubai nothing so exciting jor....but the 3days no work sweet no be small.lol, na you dey reign now o ![]() |
Anyone thinking of coming to Dubai now should be very careful and take special notice of the kind of visa that will be issued to you………. |
justi4jesu: Have you confirmed from Etihad if they now process visa for Nigerians because they stopped long time ago.Babe where have been been? you went to enjoy Eid and forgot us abi? ![]() |
Soooooooooo, Regarding the new types of Visas, I read in the newspaper today that they are introducing a Multiple Entry work visa and its going to cost AED2,100 . This is expensive but good. That way people will not be pressured into taking jobs that they regret and which spoils their CV.Does any one else have further information regarding this? |
Rubywoo: Good morning everybody, ![]() |
eazylion01: I want to use this medium to thank everybody that contributed to my question on here,i got my passport and now in Nigerian, feeling so alive.Thank God for you. |
worry359: Advice for using NigerianLol, you harsh oh ![]() |
jimmy4x: Aunty monchouchou, don't give up on me just yet na, u don take style skip my last message o :-)Lol. I skipped it because all the answers are contained in this thread. Take the time to read back and you will be well informed. or alternatively, click on Justi4Jesu posts ![]() |
Tesiday: planning to go to kuwait for my PG studies at PhD level. I have so many mind troubling questions which I hope nairalanders will provide answers to through this thread. At the same time I want to know what living and studying in kuwait is like? The cost of ticket to kuwait from Nigeria? How many hours of flight? Availability of Nigerian foods? And if there is any masters or PhD student of kuwait University on Nairaland through whom I hope to get a direct information. Thanks as you respond.First of all, why Kuwait? I'v come to realize that most Arab countries have a higher preference for western education as opposed to their own local schools. Kuwait is a very rich country but its also conservative. Its not like Dubai where almost anything can fly under the radar. |
namqul: @JUSTI4JESU AND MONSHUSHU, PLEASE WEY OGAKPAKTAPATA NOWHe went to London to see the Queen ![]() |
worry359: As we say very many times. While what you say is mostly true, it is NOT applicable all the time. I have seen many Africans selected BEFORE those with white skins. Its this kind of mentality that makes Africans too timid to even aim high and that is why you see many at the bottom of the ladder. |
jimmy4x: lol...You are a darling, only God will repay you handsomely for this wealth of info u dished out...lol. Like I said, it depends on many factors and the Grace of God in your life. Its left for you to come and try your best. But don't make it a do or die affair. Know what you are willing to settle for. |
jimmy4x: Ok, tnx for this, buh what is ur own definition of a 'good job' and good salary in Dubai....?? like what kinda job and what's the salary structure like, is it also possible for Nigerians like us to get these kinda jobs.??Keep in mind that what is good for A may be rubbish for B. For a person having a masters degree, getting a job that pays lets say 100k will not be acceptable but for someone with only WAEC, 100K job might seem like paradise. So I can't answer your question. Its left or you to decide what kind of job you can settle for. There are Nigerians in this same Dubai earning above AED50,000 and there are too many Nigerians earning above AED10,000 as well. it really depends on your qualification, work experience(yes even your naija work experience can sometimes be valued), how you present yourself AND most importantly the employer (asides the Grace of God). You can't expect an indian employer who owns a restaurant or small business to pay you AED10,000 when he himself might not even make that much. But for multinational corporations, its chicken change. Come you have to pay me for all this long epistle you have been making me type since morning oh ![]() |
jimmy4x: wtf!!! if this true, how do u guys now survive there, why are you still there and not return home?? abi na 10,000 AEd or more una dey collect as salary...don't tell me you are enduring this hardship. This is why many people come and end up as Teco boys. when we advise them not to come unless they are fully prepared, they say we are lying, after all we are "flexing'. The fact that some have good jobs should not be used as a yardstick because its not the norm. I didn't say don't come. Just know where you are coming to. Have enough money so you don't get desperate to accept any job that is flung at you. If you are well prepared you will be able to take your time and search for a good job. Also, be very very very skeptical of all these direct employment visa because they rarely end well. |
jimmy4x: lmao.....hehehe, wahala dey o, thank you sooo much for this enlightenment, I'm in a dilemma ryt now, shey na rice person go kon take all hin life chop, wen dem dey sell tuber of yam here #150, my mama dey supply me palm oil, clean one for free, stock fish, dry fish nd snail, I dey do shakara even for house....you have made it really easy for me justi, God will bless you, na to go find very big leather box take load some of ds Africa food wey go last me like d 3 first months.Dubai is not like Nigeria. We keep announcing it but una no wan hear. with 100K you can survive reasonably in Nigeria. In dubai money blows fats. You think you can survive on that but when you get here and see the reality you start complaining. Also, don't be deceived by whatever salary structure you see. Very very few security men earn up to 1,500aed talk more of 2000k. Read back on the thread and you will see their stories. They tell you there is free accommodation but have you seen what they call accommodation? its worse than a pig sty. |
jimmy4x: 4k aed is like 180k, is ds for a month or a year??lol, a year ke? its for a month. |
Jeez, why so many blocked posts?? |
Rohzeez: but pals........d money is too much in nigeria moneyDubai is expensive. Beautiful but very expensive. If you don't have a good job here its not worth it. |
justi4jesu: You see how some persons can be? A word is enough for the wise. SMH hahahahah Justi you have suffer no be small hahahhahaha a chei |
eazylion01: and i have been working for 5 months,i can't continue again, even if i am to pay half of my salary for 3 months,i will, but the 3kaed is too much, besides they didn't fulfil all what they promised,i complained about the accomodation before going for exit and they promised to renovate before i come back, but its the same thing..Sorry to hear about your predicament. Anyway like Justi said it's very easy. Walk to the police station cry and tell them u r tired. You want to go back. Shikena. The issue people have is that after they get their passport they start thinking of hustling around for another job. If u r willing and ready to go back home just do as justi4jesu has said. #dazall |
worry359: What about husslin round on streets looking for work, no funds to go in shops! That is why we advise everyone to do proper research before coming. If you feel you can't stand the little heat involved in walking from the train station to an office building then don't come until the weather is cooler… If u feel u can't stay with 10 men in a room, then save enough money to rent your own room (about 4k aed) |
justi4jesu: @ ALL ![]() |
smilingjimmy: dis is so serux, a fwend of mine nid 2 travel soon\ calm down. Don't sound so desperate before you(your friend) gets duped. |
