To the gurus in the house, a close pal got an uae entry Permit(issued on the 30th of nov/2014) with his sponsor being. Company there(Marmum dairy farm llc). Base on what v read here,the visa should be working one with two years but after checking the entry permit no online and @ the embassy what we saw was just two months. What we both don't understand is that is he suppose to get to dubai b4 the company process the working visa for him. On the entry permit,his profession is Helper(what does that means). Thank as we await una respond

Lol, if I talk now Justwise will say I'v no longer repented from my sins. Are you seriously asking us what helper means? Thats houseboy, maid, cleaner, office boy, etc. Working in a dairy farm you can imagine the kind of jobs he will probably be required to do. Is it really worth it? Cus most times the salary is not even up to AED1,500 (Forget if you are promised much more than that, its usually lies)

An Entry Permit is not a Visa. His Visa will subsequently be stamped on his passport when he lands.

You only need a transit visa if you intend to leave the airport and enter Dubai / Doha. If not, just remain in the airport and take your connecting flight to Texas

I have no idea of what your friend is talking about.maybe if he or she gives you the name of the document I can say more. It's fairly straight forward like you said. Meet all the requirements and pay. The payment is where people have issues as you can only pay with a UAE credit card so you need someone here to do that.

After passing the assessment and the exam you don't automatically get a license. You get an eligibility letter which is used for job search and when employed the hospital applies for your license.

As for my profession, I could tell you but then I won't be anonymous anymore

Good morning, please I need advice here. I gave my agent 5hk to process direct employment visa for me but he finally gave me tourist visa I did not agree with initially but after persuasion that they are working over there to get a job for me. I agreed as my agent personality is involved. Some days to go, my agent and her husband who orchestrated the Dubai visa processing said they were also going to Dubai to make things easy for us- (we are 3 people travelling with them). We all agreed but when we get to the airport, out of 3 first timers, 2 of us were delayed by immigration officers to missed the flight because of BTA that we said we didn't have whereas whole plan was orchestrated by the husband (he had already collected my bta so i wont be forced to give immigration) so that we won't have to pay immigration 200usd they said they normally collect from first timers. So after some days (13 days) at the airport waiting the three who had gone to work on rescheduling of ticket, they were forced to buy another ticket for us (all this 'a fi ike te ticket')as they claimed. We got there finally and now to work on the employment, they said I must pay 2000 dirham for the job I have not seen its offer letter to sign. These st.u.pi-d couple just lock up for me saying I must pay but I am playing it cool with them.
Please is this money proper? If yes, is it up to that amount? If yes, then when is it proper to pay it?

These are the things I read that makes me consider deleting my nairaland account completely. Apparently all the advice we give here just enters one ear and flies thru the other.

I dont even pity you. Continue dashing them your money. They are using your money to enjoy themselves in dubai. Either they give u a job as a cleaner or labourer with 90k salary or you get nothing after wasting almost 1 million. You are still asking us if your should give them more money? You couldn't tell you were being scammed from the beginning and I don't expect you to be able to recognize that they are still scamming you now.

I have limited knowledge about the Qatar visa rules, guess Drdre1 will be the best person to answer that. Seems weird though that you have a visa for 5 years and work permit for only 2...

Well it must contain the basics and include a nice passport photograph at the left hand corner on the top. Include your nationality and visa status. Highlight your strengths and be prepared to defend any statement you put in it, etc

1. Can ethopia airways process visa for me? I just need to stay In dubai for 9 days training. And if they can, what is required?
2. The location of the training is dubai investment park-1 as such I need info on how to get cheap hotel or guest house around the area coz the once am seeing online are very expensive. Or what other means can I take to reduce. The lodging fare.
3. What's the best way to go abt transportation to reduce cost.
NOTE: 3 persons involved

1. If you are coming for juts 9days without intending to search for jobs, contact Emirates or Etihad. 2 weeks tourist visa is a piece of cake

2. Of all the places for your training to take place, they had to put it in such an isolated outskirt. Its far from Dubai proper and transportation will be a headache

3. Seeing as its so far, its best you get a hotel around there regardless of how expensive it may be otherwise you will end up spending double taking taxis and will also be very stressed.

just have about $1,000 at hand and have the rest in your bank account. Go to. your bank and request for PTA. The bank will demand for your visa, ticket and passport. The process might be a bbit stressful but It's worth it.

[b] General advice... before traveling, visit your bank to activate internet banking and token . Also request that your ATM transaction limits be increased. eg I increased my international withdrawal limit to $4,000 and local to #300,000 this will enable you to conduct more transactions over here. I hope this information will help

It sounds weird and is probably a scam. Anyway just keep your eyes open and don't let them sweet talk you into paying any money.

Since he only wants the 2 weeks visa Etihad should be able to sponsor him. Call them and find out.

Also, since he has enough funds, he should consider going with Emirate airlines and using one of their many vacation packages.

I do not have list of clinics/ orgs i sent mails to, I do regular search of orgs that might need my sevices and send.
I cant count, but I'm such, i have sent hundreds of applications.

Having gone through all that, will you advise a person with enough resources to sponsor himself and get the license first before job searching?

Yes I asked, and ogakpa... told us of a naija Dr, that just did his then. but, I found out its expensive if u are doing it on ur own, but very cheap if an organidation is registering the exam for you. so i decided to wait and continue the search for an employer that will sponsor me.

This is scary. For those living over there in dubai, this does suggest you could be arrested for a selfie or taking photos?

I can't really say much about that case because I have not read about it. There are some religious places in Nigeria where you can't wear slippers or take pictures. Its the same here. There are signs and warning in some places warning against such. Again they don't allow photographs to be taken of their women anyhow. So its possible he took pictures of them without their consent.

I take about 5 selfies a day and I haven't been arrested yet. I also take photos of various places and I have not been stopped. You just have to obey rules and regulations where you find them.

Pure scam. Any employer that can afford to pay a monthly salary of more than $2000 will most likely never ask you to pay for your own visa.

Have you asked yourself, if it's so easy to make that kind of money, why did the agent not take the job himself?

There are 4 different licensing bodies in the UAE: DHA (for Dubai), HAAD (for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain), MOH (for the other emirates) and one given by Dubai Health Care City which is a Free zone entity. They all have different requirements and procedures for licensing.

Previously if you had a license from one, you could only practice in the jurisdiction governed by that body, but recently they have been unified. So, even if you have a DHA license you can still practice in Abu Dhabi (subject to meeting some conditions).

Do a search on google for more info on each of them.

All nairalanders, thanks for the good job y’all doing here. I got info from a friend about going to work in Dubai and I decided to check online and I got this thread. I read the few last pages, left my enquiries/questions, Kelvin4ESU was the one who responded and I requested a PM from him to which he responded speedily. He succeeded in linking me up with his partner who said he is in Abuja and he said[b] I should pay =N=180,000 for A FREEZONE VISA[/b], he said that Kelvin4ESU will be my sponsor in Dubai and that there is a receptionist job already for me in Dubai. He also said I should change my age on my Int’l passport which was my very mighty mistake (because I actually did and it cost me a total of =N=75,000.00 to correct it).

I asked my friend in Abuja to check the guy out for me and tell him I was only going to pay him when the job is done that is when I get to Dubai, see the job, accommodation and all they promised after all Kelvin4ESU who is the supposed sponsor lives in Dubai and there will be nowhere to run for me than to pay his money. Anyhow, I found it not just hard, but extremely hard to give my hard earned money to someone I don’t know.
Now, I have started all over, doing the first thing first. I have read up to page 50 of this thread and still going meanwhile, I have kept an eye on the so called Kelvin Johnson aka Kelvin4ESU, observing his comments but I noticed that since my PM with him, he has featured less on this thread and so I suspected he was probably afraid because he was very careful not to send lengthy mails instead, he sent his Abuja guy (John Chucks – don’t know if it’s a fake name) to me.

From pages 1 to 50 which I have read so far, the RESOUNDING warning is “DON’T INVOLVE AGENTS, DON’T SEND PM, DO IT YOURSELF RIGHT HERE IN THE OPEN”. So, people that is it.

Kelvin4ESU, yes that is who you are. Why don’t you change your ways rather than changing user names and get an honest means of livelihood. No let swear kill you o.

I don't even know what to say to you. Honestly I don't. After all the repeated warnings on this thread, you still went ahead to start conducting business off the thread. Then you went as far as doing something so important as altering your age on your international passport. Something that begins with fraud can never end well. The fact that he was asking you to do something like that should have been another red flag for you.

He kept placing emphasis on Freezone visas just to entice people and I am sure many others fell for it. They are probably feeling very bad now and will not want to speak up.
