This is the exact reason why we ask people to read back on the thread before coming to ask questions. UAE is not like Nigeria or Europe where you can just switch jobs anyhow you like. Here most times your residency is tied to your employer so if you are not smart you can earn a 6months ban, loose your residency and if your employer is wicked you may even be blacklisted!!

I believe Etihad stopped issuing visas to Nigerians some time back. Don't know if they have resumed.

Your friend can try Emirates as well since he isn't staying long

If only you had taken the time to read this thread you would have saved yourself a lot of stress. We have discussed out that site on this thread MULTIPLE times and announced that it is a scam site!

They will keep calling and disturbing you just to get that money.

It depends on the school and the nationality of your "someone". Generally teachers are paid ok, and some private schools pay quiet well. However, Western teachers are paid more than Africans, Indians, etc.

Lo, Justi forget that thing. As if you don't know the authorities turn a blind eye to cohabiting couples. Even my local and Iranian friends stay together with their bfs' sometimes and they don't have issues. So long as you don't make a nuisance of yourself or get reported to the Police you are good to go.

If you are asking if its advisable for him/her to come search for a job during the Ramadan period then you need to consider the fact that most business owners close early and are generally lazy that period. This doesn't generally affect hospitals but then again there are other job opportunities for nurses and private nurses are paid much more than some employed in hospitals. Also, summer will be in full glory by then

Hope she/her has the DHA eligibility letter otherwise it might be a fruitless journey...

You can set up your own company in Dubai (either free zone or LCC). not a big deal just involves a lot of cash.

There are too many rooms available for rent everywhere, I have not seen any accommodation that isn't air-conditioned.

some hotels (especially cheap ones in the deira axis) will not let you both stay together in the same room if you cannot prove that you are married. So ensure you take a copy of your marriage certificate with you.

Contact a UAE based tour agency to process it for you. I cannot recommend any agency though and be careful so you don't get scammed.

Although its obviously a mistake, try to get your company to amend it and send you a new visa. this will save you from the headache of Naija immigration and also to avoid any questions when you want to cross Dubai immigration. Don't forget, its what is on the visa that Dubai Government has on their system so try and get this corrected.

Thanks Sister I appreciate ur kind gesture, but what do u advice I do now because I have concluded my plan on coming to hunt for Job, I was planing to relocate to SA few months back that was why I resigned from where I was working, I even applied for Sa visa through an agent, due to the negligence of the agent the visa was denied and she promised to reapply before I changed my plan to process UAE. Do u advice I should not come with that one month visa, because the agent said that is the only one he could possibly secure for me.

Honestly I can't tell you what to do. Some people come and get good jobs within 2 weeks sef and some leave with nothing. Just pray well and commit your journey to God. Ask him for direction and trust that he will bless you with your heart desires.

It is no longer possible to extend the one month visa. that is why many people prefer getting the 3 months visa.

Like I already said, no one can guarantee that you will get a job. Only those coming it with employment visas are sure they have a job when they arrive (assuming its not a problematic job they will want to run away from or a scam). please don't ask me how to get employment visa

On this issue of experience, what kind of job to you aspire to get after a few years? because you can't expect to move on to a managerial or professional job and think that having experience as a laborer or security guard will count.

When we say they want GCC experience, we refer to relevant experience in the same or similar work field.

Do you want to rent or buy a car when you arrive? why do you feel you need an international drivers license?

Obviously you haven't read through the thread if not you will not be asking these questions.

1. It doesn't matter if you are Nigerian or Chinese. Nothing like 2 months visa again. Either 1 month or 3 months

2. No one can guarantee you anything. previously it was very easy to get menial jobs as a last resort but now, there are hundreds of people roaming the streets looking for such menial jobs and they can't find it. Some even search for 3 months and get nothing.

3. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT commit your life savings to making a trip that is not guaranteed to be fruitful. What happens if you don't get a job? do you want to become an illegal migrant? they deport people everyday so don't ruin your chances of ever coming to this part of the world by becoming an illegal migrant.

I had everythnq planned even b4 I made payment 4my visa, but my biggest surprise was when I got denied, and my 2nd trial got same fate. I then told my frend not 2 worry abt it... but she felt bad aftr promisn me so mch and I cudnt even get d visa, and decided 2 cancel and reprocess all over again without telln me so as not 2 keep my hopes up..

Meanwhile, I had channel all d funds I had planned 4d trip 2 an "Asset Mgt Organisatn" for returns ovr a stipulated period of tym since d visa was alreadi denied twice..
Called my acct officer d same day my friend told me my visa was out and dat she had 2 add her own persnal funds and do it all ovr again without telling me,, but acct officer said refunds wunt be easy 4month into an acct I intend running 4a year.. So dats how I got my money tied up smwer and I dnt wna borrow..

Accomodation,feeding n transportation is gonna be handled by her, I. Know her far too well 2know she wunt default on all that... But how do I make those immigration guys buy "I av my bta on my master/visa card" decoy? Cuz dats wer I mit av problems based on what I've bin reading on here so far...
