Thank you for your response, I got to this thread due to some events, unlike many here who are completely new to buying and selling of domains, I have been involved for many years but never really saw the 'business' side of it.

Let me take time to share my experience selling 2 domains.

I started getting interested in this by accident, sometime in 2021 I got a call from a godaddy rep that someone was interested in one of my domains, he said the person made an offer for $2000, jokingly I told him that people had called me for $7000 and I rejected, he said ok he would contact the buyer, never heard back from the guy for like 2 weeks.

He sent me an email if I would let it go for $5000, told him NO , 5 days or so later he emailed that the buyer had agreed to pay the $7000. I asked if i will be getting exact $7k, as I did not want a single deduction. He said yes the buyer would be paying all fees. The wire transfer got to my account 2 days after I clicked "I agree" in the link he sent me.

Fast forward to June 3, 2022 or there about, I checked an email I had not checked in weeks, saw an email from one company called afternic asking me if I was interested selling a 6 letter domain for a lower amount than I listed on godaddy. I listed it with no real intention of selling, just wanted to see what would happen, listed it for $18,000 over a year ago. I replied NO again as I wanted to stick to the $18k.

I kept refreshing that mail nearly every 5 hrs. About 5 days later, they said your domain is sold I logged into my account and saw a totally different amount from the 18k, keep in mind these mails were all coming from the afternic company, went to the site and discovered it was owned by godaddy.

I called when I figured out that these guys deducted $1000+15%, I told them I wanted to change my mind regarding the sale, he said no that I already added a buy it now price on godaddy that as a matter of fact the funds have been initiated on their end to my account.

My search online brought me to this thread which led me to asking many of the questions I am asking. I became more curious after this last sale, as I am now seeing the business side of this.

Now I am interested in getting deep into the business.

I hope you now understand the reason for my "calm questions".

Would be nice if you could share the names you sold.

DAN finally allowed me push the domain to their holding account with SAV. My second negotiated sale, name was listed for $1999, hope I did well.

Maybe I need to insist more, I no wan hear say buyer no wan buy again. 2 months old 0.99 xyz name for 1k$ doesn't come every day.

Most buyers don't know how to initiate domain transfer. Therefore for every domain sales which I am required to send the auth. code to dan i always send another email to the buyer with the authorization code.

Example.

Hello xxxx, Thank you for purchasing the domain Tampaxxxxx.com

If your registrar is Godaddy.com this is the step on how to successfully transfer the domain into your GoDaddy account:

1. Visit http://www.godaddy.com/domains/domain-transfer and search for Tampaxxxxxx.com

2. Enter your authorization code in the second field. If the authorization code entered is valid, you'll get a green checkmark. The authorization code for Tampaxxxxx.com is p4X]!587:3

3. Click Continue.

4. Select your domain privacy options, and click Continue.

5. Choose your payment method, and click Complete Purchase to finish checkout.
This will give you additional 1 year

Great strategy, unfortunately, this is an inbound DAN sale, I don't have the buyer's email. DAN said they will send him 3 reminders before they will allow me push to their account.

And they're good in building brandable portfolio with their 6.9 com price for low earners. Fast transfer & Sedo MLS. Smooth UI & Mass Activation(Fast transfer&sedomls)..They're like that toxic ex u keep returning to.

Bottom line...don't be useless in this world.

Its now looking like its not SAV's fault, it seems the buyer has refused to initiate the transfer. Some buyers can be funny, negotiated for a domain name and paid immediately, I sent authentication code almost immediately, till now no level.

SAV is really a useless registrar sha, nothing beats Epik customer service. Has anybody initiated a transfer from SAV before, pls let me know how long it took.

Patience is key, just know what you are doing.

Unfortunately, he doesn't answer questions about his portfolio size. I would advise you to use the industry standard of 1 or 2% if you are into brandables and EMDs. You need about 2k names to be making 1 or 2 sales monthly.

I wonder how you do it, though. The payment for the only sale I did that for wasn't released when God finally helped me to sell another name the following year or so. It was sent separately but I was allowed to use ACH by then, so it didn't cost a lot in fees. It actually took several back-and-forth messages plus posting on NP to get the money.

On the side, abeg you fit give me an idea of your portfolio size? I wish to estimate at least how much money I'm going to need (aside name quality) to adopt your style, which I like. This Geo stuff has left more to be desired in terms of results in the past year. Thanks!

Happened to me before, was refunded within an hour.

NFTdata (.xyz) finally sold for $45, lol. Not bad for 99 cent investment. NFTsecure was a total disaster.
