krasican:This ought to make u see that Fayose's style of politics and criticism re not bitter but rather the constructive type. |
See wat governance has been reduced to in Delta State, how did she get to her present state of sinking so low? If this medical doctor cum politician is not commissioning a shop rite outlet, he is cutting the tape of a filling station.. Touts re the ones at the forefront of governance while the educated ones have either been hounded out of the state or made to be silent, hence the touts re now having a field day making mockery of democracy.... .. While Tinubu acted as the pathfinder and successively guided those who came after him and Lagos state has been better for it. But wat do we ve in the Niger Delta states? excluding Akwa Ibom(...)The political godfathers in the Niger Delta re just too selfish, always looking out for their selfish interests and not the masses and never wanting to let go of the strings of the purse... |

I hope u re ok, wat is wrong with Wat I posted? So many kids running amok on Nairaland these days... |
Na sooo, this was how Yaradua's issue all started.. So if u speak with him everyday then how about the millions of people who voted him?Don't they deserve to speak with him also or know the true state of his health ? Oh,my bad,i ve forgotten that the 95 percenters don't deserve to be treated equally with the five percenters.... |
Fashola is a clown, was he not the one that blabbed that fixing the perennial power problem in Nigeria wasn't rocket science.. I guess he now knows better that uneasy lies the head that wears the crown and talking the talk is much easier than walking the walk....All the campaigns of calumny against Oga Jona who though had his weakness and faults were borne out of hatred than altruistic reasons as we can now see because to them he was a nobody within the political circles in Nigeria and he was reaping Wat he didn't sweat for, If not a lot of things should ve changed the way they promised us, bt wat do we ve? (...)A situation where things ve gotten out of hands completely and with every of their electoral promises disowned.. |
Marotzke:U re one hell of a smart dude... And I am glad that someone else also sees this same imbroglio the same way with me and also the power play that the North re capable of.... Nigerians forget so easily and that is the reason we keep falling into the same ditch repeatedly. We all witnessed wat happened wen Umaru Musa Yaradua was dying and the cabals still held onto power tightly like he was Hale and hearty(...)and also often regaled us with how he was seen playing with his grandkids and occasionally seen jogging around the Villa. With the centre no more holding and with more agitations from Nigerians, the man was finally brought in dead or comatose in the dead of the night and it even took the switching off of the lights of an international airport to achieve this stunt. Also not forgetting that it took the statement of Dora Akunyili of blessed memory for the scales to fall off Nigerians' eyes.. With no more tricks to pull out of the bag, the cabal had to succumb to allowing Oga Jona to fully take over the reins of power, also we shouldn't forget that a certain letter delegating power to Jona was purportedly sent to the National Assembly by Yaradua bt the cabals prevented all of that from coming to limelight. Constitutionally the Vice President should take over from the president if he becomes incapacitated or unable to continue acting as president bt wat did we have under Musa Yaradua? A certain doctrine of necessity had to be invoked.(...)I am saying this because of those folks who re quick to latch onto wat the constitution says, and forget that wat is truly obtainable in Nigeria is different because of the born to rule mentality of some citizens who continue to see power as their birthright. Fast-forward to a few years after, we re down this same path.(...)It took threat and forces of coercion to prevent Oga Jona from getting a second shot at the presidency and even losing the polling booth within the precinct of Aso Rock which to me was instructive..Some citizens of northern extraction made statements that could best be described as incendiary ,hate filled, and treasonable. .. And now that they finally ve the power, u expect them to give it up easily again, no problem, u shall all wait till u all will grow tired of waiting. The mistake most of us re making is the fact that we underestimate the Hausa/Fulani Oligarchs' love for power, they can kill to ve and keep it and the Chibok girls' scandal comes to mind(...)a situation where an educationally disadvantaged state had almost three hundred students are in a girls only academy supposedly sitting for Physics, yes physics and not Arabic study or any stuff like it, a subject that is not too easy, and tedious,a number which even the most educationally advantaged states won't ve for this subject. All the principals of northern extraction involved in that much publicised scam ve been compensated in one way or the other with the exception of Ezekwesili.. Yes it took all these shenanigans to paint a sitting president bad , incompetent and confused and hence the need for power to return to the north. And you all think that the power which they so much cherish would be given up just like that, hmmm, this is just wishful thinking.... The Yorubas will wait till forever because I don't see Osibanjo taking over fully, he will only continue to act with some notable areas that he won't be allowed to touch as acting President, I am waiting to see how Onnoghen will be confirmed as Chief Judge which to me would be the first true test of the so called presidential powers that he now wields, the concentration of power in the hands of northerners in the early part of this administration is instructive.....And I am very very convinced that my instincts can't be wrong..... |
davidif:I think the constitution has something in place addressing this malady bt just that we as a people choose to ignore it because of our selfish reasons....The constitution is not our problem bt the implementation and the people re the obstacles.... |
Shewunoshewa:OK sir, bt if anything should happen to Buhari then u will surely refer to these my posts because the scenarios that i ve mentioned will definitely play out... |
EternalTruths:Bt y do they keep living in denial despite their education and exposure this is the very reason I doff my hat for the Ibos, the North know that they can't ve their way easily with the Ibos unlike the Yorubas.. If push comes to shove, the North might decide to do away with the so called Osibanjo and the heavens won't still fall just the way it didn't fall wen Abiola was killed to balance the so called equation. his wife was killed too ,military office of purely Yoruba extraction were framed up for planning the 1997 coup plot(...)which was hard to believe anyway that officers of only one ethnic stock would plan nd execute a coup in Nigeria and would be successful,if the heavens didn't fall then ipsofacto Osibanjo can equally be killed too and nothing would happen. . It's really a pity that the Yorubas ve not learnt and still won't learn, they equally championed the emergence of Buhari and today they ve been relegated to the background and today everything is in shambles.. How many times will the Hausas /Fulanis continue to deceive u? |
Omoakinsuyi:Resign for where? U can read my lips again that I said and I'm still saying the North will never allow Osibanjo to assume the presidency in case anything happens to Buhari. Nothing with a semblance of wat happened to Yaradua will be allowed to repeat itself again and the north know this too well. They know how long it took for power to come back to them and it took Boko Haram and the Chibok girls' scam to achieve that with the attendant carnage and loss of lots of human lives.. They knew wat they were doing when they started filling every sensitive post with every available northerner. So yorubas should keep on dreaming about how their son would become president in Buhari's government by foolishly thinking same rule would apply to Jonathan and Osinbajo. |
sarrki:Epa, ewure, didirin, odoyo ,oponu all rolled into one... |
Is it not the same Babaginda who they said was present at the meeting called by northern governors to discuss the killings of northern Christians ...Someone who was not present was "forced" to be present by our "erudite" press. This and many other examples show that there re lots of inconsistencies in the way our journalists report stories... |
Who is the deputy governor of this State? I am asking because every activity in the State is about the Governor or his spokesperson in the person of Lere Olayinka. Though i like Fayose's style of politics bt there re some areas of governance where he still needs to up his political sagacity(...) and playing to the gallery is surely not one of them. |
I knew it would either be an Hausa or Ibo because these guys ve the balls for hard and dubious deals... |
FFK nor dey fear or look Bubu face and Bubu knows this, all the so called activists ve lost their voices despite things going from bad to worse bt F. F. K nd Fayose nor dey fear am esp F. F. K who enjoys no immunity, dem nor dey fear toto Bleep yansh..... |
This professor is surely an idiot, does he think it's academics that they re talking about. The academics re even supposed to be at the forefront of issues like this (...)but wat do we ve in Nigeria? (...)a bunch of handout selling and skirt chasing individuals who parade themselves as members of the intelligientsia. All is suddenly quiet on the academic/activists' front. (...)and it is taking an 'illiterate' individual to lead a protest for good governance. This Professor is surely a mofo, if he can't do a thing then y discourage someone who has taken it upon himself to do such and who by any standard is well-to-do. |
Haha, thought a former minister of northern extraction made a statement which suggested that southerners were in a mad rush to acquire education for nothing. Their eyes don clear? When other parts of the country were acquiring education, the North held onto the military like it was their birthright and thru it they were able to change governments upon governments thru the instrumentality of coups... Somebody should pls tell Emir Sanusi that he can't ve his cake and eat it at the same time. The status quo even favored and still favors the elite in the north because it is the only means thru which they can continue to subject their masses to all manners of misinformation and poverty... |
sarrki:This type of silly and irresponsible response can only come from the ilks of Sarki..How many Miyetti cattle rearers ve been invited for questioning /detained? So much for double standards ,this country is truly an animal farm...The government know that they need to be careful so as not to set in motion a series of events which may eventually consume her. Nigeria is not an Islamic bt a secular nation .. Moreover Moslems from the North need to know that nobody has the monopoly of inciteful /hate-speeches. |
Let them deal with whatever that comes their way, they voted change. With more years of being on the presidential seat than any other part of the country(...)they re, still the most backward in every area of Human Index of Development and the Talakawas won't still realise that the elite re just all about themselves and not the poor... |
bt y did they decide to place the cart before the horse before now. This is wat they were supposed to do before trying to abduct him a la commando in Ekiti state..... By the way y ve they not invited Bishop Oyedepo whose sermon was more direct and damning?(...)My bad,the D. S. S re scared, they don't ve the balls to do any ish..Let them go for a much bigger fish then they will know that this country ain't meant for the Fulanis alone.I am still waiting on them to offer an invitation to Bishop Oyedepo then we shall see how things pan out. With so much hate speeches coming from northern Islamic leaders in the past(...)none was ever arrested and not even a whimper of caution from the D. S. S... Yoruba Islamic leaders re even more liberal, and I believe their guiding principle is; live and let live bt it's not so with those in the north who always believe they can dispense threats at will. |
sarrki:Mr. Sarki, try nd call a spade a spade, betwixt them and the Fulani oligarchs who encourage their kinsmen to go ahead to kill harmless Nigerians(...)who is trying to divide the country? After each attacks, their sponsors come out and regale us with tales of how the killers come all the way from Senegal and Mali. Use ur head wen commenting, it's not everything that should be politicized, do u like the way everything is tensed in the country presently? Most people re scared to voice their feelings and wen u ve a very few who do(...)the least u can do is to encourage them nd not cast aspersions on their personalities... |
May God ve mercy on this country, the same pattern of events before Yaradua 's death is repeating itself again and we still don't seem to ve learnt from that. With the ex president dying /dead(...) and We were still regaled with tales of how he was seen playing with his grandkids .Same thing is repeating itself again..... |
Ode, Okponu, akpashisha, didirin all rolled into one is wat this man is..... |
TonyeBarcanista:How? It took just Apostle Suleiman and Rev. Oyedepo to speak before moslem leaders sprang to action, so the more the Christian faith keep quiet, the more the Moslems become daring. Nobody has the monopoly of violence, just like the Israelis know how to handle their neighbors bt were they to keep quiet ,they would be extirpated..... |
From the so much famed and talked about CHIBOK girls' movement that Buhari used to get to power and forgot abt .U re now tryna dabble into another part of the script so that u can be remembered for an award bt nothing for u.. So continue the game mademoiselle.... |
UnknownT:U ve spoken well, the governor has the power and authority to install and sack any paramount ruler within his domain, so y should he cringe before any ruler who is within his authority, even the very prominent Emir of Kano was appointed and installed by ex. gov. Kwankwaso despite wielding so much influence. By the time the governor becomes an ex, it then becomes a different kettle of fish... |
panafrican:Yeah,bt the guy still made some sense in this write-up because I knew some of these things that he posted way back. So I guess u should possibly cut him some slacks for this error/misinformation... |
Jilo83:And this exactly is the problem, so who is gonna fight ur battles for u? This clearly is the reason the political class will continue to ride roughshod over Nigerians bcoz they know that we will always swallow anything forced down our throats.... The light situation has been very erratic and we still ve Nigerians behaving like everything is normal with those useless electric companies' official who still come with their useless bill estimates at the end of every month without any whimper of protests from us. Things will only get worse if we don't act or do a thing abt this.... |
B. E. D. C is the most useless amongst the lots.... Their license should be revoked Asap. |
temitemi1:U can say that again.... Bt wat does O. B. J really need or want, he is always a dog in the manger if he can ve his ways with u. I ve noticed his sudden reticence on the state of the nation lately. He surely has some stuffs up his sleeves because by nature he is the garrulous type bt this sudden silence means a lot... |
optional1:Really, real bt not fake priests/pastors re supposed to be the consciense of any nation, they should be able to speak to those in authority without fear or favor. Bt wat do we ve in Nigeria today ?Men of God that hobnob with politicians seeking contracts and favor . It was this same man who said Buhari would win and he won, he is still the same person now singing a different tune. |
