There have been various argument about the $2.1 bill scandal. While some people believe it is the right step in the right direction, others are of the opinion that the present government is just wasting so much time and energy in the probe. Well, I would like to break it out mathematically so that we can see how much we need to complete fight. From all indications, various sections of the media is of the opinion that col. Sambo dasuki misappropriated a whooping sum of #400bill. But so far the amount of money that has been traced to different account does not even add up to #10bill. What does that mean? It means that it took the federal government about 5 months to discover the whereabouts of #10bill while we have another #390bill which has not been accounted for. There are 39 #10bill yet to go, meaning it might take another 195 months approximately 16 years three months to completely find the whereabouts of the remaining sum. With all these figures, what can I conclude? Maybe nothing or maybe I just like playing with figures. But I ask you a very salient question. Is it worth the time and energy? Or is it another ploy to distract the citizens from the present hardship? I don’t know what to say. But I know one thing…16 years is a long time. You be the judge. http://emmyjoach..com.ng/2016/06/dasukigate.html |

Politics / Stop This Media Trial, Publish Names Of Signatories To The Mcnamara-koro by monkautos(m): 11:58am On Jan 30, 2016 |
The immediate past Minister of State, Foreign Affairs and a former Nigerian Ambassador to Ghana, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has challenged controversial online platform, Sahara Reporters and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to sincerely publish the names of the Directors and signatories to the alleged Silva McNamara Limited account to the public as at when the said money was paid instead of demonising and deceiving Nigerians with vague, contrived and distorted information. Obanikoro is appalled by the public political persecution embarked upon by these agencies noting that there is nowhere in the world where investigations are being conducted using the pages of the newspapers. In a statement signed on Saturday by one of his Media Aide, Mr. Jonathan Eze, it queried the wisdom and logic of bandying figures and associating same with his sons who are thorough bred professionals in their own rights reminding them that the court of law is and remains the judicial institution for trying cases and not whipping sentiments in order to give the dog a bad name and hang it. The statement opined that Sahara Reporters is propagating these lies and propaganda because of the legal cases against it by the former Minister for misleading the public and defaming his hard earned name and reputation having served the nation in various capacities with enviable untainted records of public service. It urged the EFCC to be straight and above board in their investigations and avoid speculations and conjectures that are infringing on the fundamental human rights of his sons. The statement reads in parts:" Associating my sons to the Sylva McNamara account that allegedly received funds from the office of the embattled National security Adviser is highly preposterous and unthinkable. "I am particularly amazed by the fact that trials and investigations are being done using the media unconventionally just to satisfy the cravings of political entities who are desperate to rub my hard earned reputation in the mud. " Since the invicinble Sahara Reporters whom I have legal cases against are at the forefront of misleading the public and defaming my person, perhaps rationalizing that I would withdraw pending suits against it, I am using this medium to challenge it and the EFCC to publish in good conscience the signatories and the names of the directors of the said company and to restate that I shall conclusively pursue this injustice and infringements to a logical end., " www.lindaikejisblog.com/2016/01/obanikoro-to-efcc-stop-this-media-trial.html?m=1 |

Politics / “i Will Bring Back Our Girls From Dubai ” – Buhari Tells Media by monkautos(m): 1:54pm On Jan 18, 2016 |
President Muhammadu Buhari left everyone at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport stunned as he left the country for the United Arab Emirates when he said “Do not worry, I will Bring Back Our Girls”. The President made the shocking statement while addressing the media before boarding the Presidential Jet bound for the U.A.E where he is due to visit both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. While fielding questions, a journalist made mention of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign, to which the president answered “Yes, it is a priority. I will bring back our girls from Dubai”. While majority of the Press were in stunned silence, the following conversation ensued between Mr. President and some journalists present at the pre-flight briefing. PRESSMAN 1: “Excuse Me, Mr. President, did you just say you would bring back our girls from the U.A.E?” PMB: “Yes I did. It is a priority” PRESSMAN 2: “To Bring Back Our Girls” PMB: “Yes” PRESSMAN 1: “From the U.A.E” PMB: “Yes” PRESSMAN 3: “Mr. President are you saying our girls are in Dubai?” PMB: “There are many of them there, many others in Abu Dhabi. There are others in Italy and Germany, I have been in touch with our Embassies and High Commissions in this country, and I can confirm these” PRESSMAN 4: “Amazing” PRESSMAN 1: “Unbelievable” PRESSMAN 3: “I really am confused” PRESSMAN 2: “But Mr President, Mr President, How did Boko Haram manage to move the girls from Chibok to Sambisa rto Dubai?” PMB: *at this point The President looked puzzled* “Chibok? Sambisa? What are you talking about?” PRESSMAN 4: “Sir the Ch……” PMB: *then he smiles and shakes his head* “Oh! Ah! Ah! I think there has been a slight confusion” PRESSMAN 1: “But Mr President You Said the Bring Back Our G…….” PMB: “Oh Yes. I don’t mean those Girls. The Military are doing everything within their power to bring them back alive. Especially after I read about the girl who was left stranded in Dubai by a……….what do you call them? Her “maga”. Meanwhile her friends in Nigeria had been putting up ‘missing person’ posters. We need to put a stop to that” PRESSMAN 3: “But Mr President, I thought Bringing Back the Chibok Girls were the essence of the meeting with the #BBOG Campaigners and that the Chibok girls have always been priority” PMB: “They are still a priority, but they are not the only ones my Government is out to rescue, especially with the way and manner the #BBOG have tried to stain my name in a bid to get the public angry with me. Insha Allah we shall Bring back ALL our Girls” http://www./posts/95650/ |
