H2O2:

Although I've never been one to negatively generalize Naija babes, if I was asked to man the microphone I would speak with candor and call them unrefined.  It's a truth they deserve to know.
Yeah right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need FL Gators to see this. This year has barely started and you're already in the contest for the most ridiculous statement on NL.

Nigerian girls are not unrefined.
A lot of guys don't understand a simple word called 'NO'.
No does not mean Yes.
When a girl says NO - back down and approach in a more subtle manner.

I've seen guys approach a girl and then end up speaking horrible english to them. . . that's just wrong.
Romance / Re: How Much Must A Man Have To Be Ready For Marriage? by Moonstone(f): 10:59pm On Jan 13, 2010
oluclem:

I don't understand, what do you mean by just don't be cheap on the best day of your life
switch the 'just' and 'don't' and you'll get my drift. I was too preoccupied to notice that one.
justwise:

I can give my bride a wedding to remember without spending stupi.d amount of money, i rather use that money to look after her. There is life after wedding, kids will come into the picture. If she want top-dollar wedding beyond my plan then her bank balance will feel it as well.
It is not stupid! You don't have to pay for the wedding all by yourself. She can help you too. I think it's wrong to push everything on the groom.

Calm down love!! when i said virgin mary i was refering to an angel, basically saying i'm not going to spend that much no matter who i'm wedding.

U interpreted my post from another angle.
Phew! cheesy Thanks for clearing that up

Of course I did cos virgin mary was a human being.
When you're getting married to someone you want to spend the rest of your life with, money should not be an issue. . . . . . except it'll throw you in heavy debt.
I mean brides want a million-dollar (naira is too cheap) wedding. They want the Vera Wang dress, impeccable China, wonderful hall. They want the talk of the town. Except a lady is willing to be considerate, that's the kind of wedding you should aim to give her.

You can be cheap all your life, don't just be cheap on the best day of your life. . . smiley

@ Crackles, I won't hyperventilate on such an issue. As long as no one decides to become a hypocrite cheesy cheesy
Religion / Re: Religionists: Is Abstinence Really Possible? by Moonstone(f): 10:44pm On Jan 13, 2010
H2O2:

Stop faking! You can have your pick between bro and that other slang that rhymes with it. I have every reason to believe you would prefer the former.

Please correct the gender you reported on your profile.  We both know you're a man.
Jeez! At this rate, i might actually feed your carcass to vultures. The other slang is totally out of it and bro is not accepted either. Better search that peanut-sized brain of yours for another slang that would be appropriate.

How do you know I'm a man? Start listing evidence!

Don't worry when i find virgin mary to marry then i will spend that much.
Are you flippin' kidding me?
So wedding expense is now dependent on one's virginity? That's ridiculous. How does a woman's promiscuity determine how much her wedding should cost?

Religion / Re: Religionists: Is Abstinence Really Possible? by Moonstone(f): 10:22pm On Jan 13, 2010
It's the easiest thing in the world. I still don't understand why people act as if they cannot 'hold body'. It's a matter of self discipline and self control.

If you want to do it, you do it. If you're too weak to do it - you find excuses not to do it. SIMPLE.
Religion / Re: That Ungodly, Unholy Book In The Bible Called 'Songs Of Solomon' by Moonstone(f): 10:19pm On Jan 13, 2010
In my opinion there is nothing metaphorical about Songs of Solomon. I don't think it has to do with God and mankind.
I have never, in all my life, seen mammary glands being described like the way it was in that book. It was so poetic and actually passionate. If it is metaphorical what do those 'fawns' represent?

"2Your navel is a rounded goblet
that never lacks blended wine.
Your waist is a mound of wheat
encircled by lilies. lipsrsealed

3 Your breasts are like two fawns,
twins of a gazelle." lipsrsealed

"7 Your stature is like that of the palm,
and your breasts like clusters of fruit. shocked shocked shocked

8 I said, "I will climb the palm tree;
I will take hold of its fruit." shocked shocked shocked
May your breasts be like the clusters of the vine,
the fragrance of your breath like apples,

9 and your mouth like the best wine"

This is only from Chapter 7 - NIV.
Please can someone find the metaphor in these verses?

This is exactly why this book is ignored in most sermons. No one has really ever preached on this book in detail. Only when it comes to weddings.
Politics / Re: Raw Footage: Devastation After Earthquake In Haiti by Moonstone(f): 10:02pm On Jan 13, 2010
9jaganja:

I feel really bad for Haiti. Many pretty girls come from there. grin grin grin

Jokes apart Haiti was in a situation whereby any serious disaster will automatically deepen the problems. Now one the biggest earthquakes in human history.
That's enough to get your consolation? Kai! lipsrsealed

My pity for them lies in the fact that it is a poor nation already. They don't need disasters to devastate them.
Earthquakes are dangerous because they can only be speculated upon and no one sees them coming.
Now that they know that it lies on a fault line, the best they can do is hope that they can be able to predict future earthquakes.
Travel / Re: Is Living Abroad Worth It? by Moonstone(f): 9:49pm On Jan 13, 2010
It depends. . . not every Nigerian is enjoying living abroad. I personally prefer to study there and come back here.
It's a freaking debt cycle with the use of so many facilities to indulge yourself in and then spend the rest of your life paying for it. Nigerians that are abroad in this economic depression are not exactly having the fun of their lives.
Most of them can't get jobs even with a Masters' degree because citizens of the countries were running to, don't have jobs. It's a matter of personality. If you have a 4-bedroom house abroad with a comfy car and a comfy lifestyle to go with it, then fine! It's worth it.
But when you leave Nigeria as a Doctor to go and be washing plates abroad. I think there's a little problem with that.

@ Hardballer - 9! I absolutely love, adore, cherish and totally crazed over boondocks. The reason why it's a 9 is because Riley, Tom Dubois and Uncle Ruckus are missing.

@ Jason Derulo - just be happy we're comparing you to fine boys. It's okay - you can blush if you want cheesy cheesy

Sports / Re: NFL 11-12 Season Is Here: Where Are All The NFL Fans? by Moonstone(f): 11:02pm On Oct 20, 2009
Gosh I've missed y'all soooooooooooo much. Especially my darlings - JeSoul and Chiogo.

For the first time in a loooooooooooong time, I'm so proud of my Saints. Yet to lose a game. It might be a bit premature but maybe Reggie and Kim breaking up finally helped his silly self.
I thought beating someone 26-0 was bad enough (Packers and Lions) but beating someone 59-0 is really barbaric. I think the Titans should take a leave for like 3 weeks and blame it on their menstrual pains or something. I don't even think Patriots can beat a High School team that bad.
I feel for them - I really do. Thank my stars that I am not a Titans' fan.
NYSC / Re: NYSC Batch C, NOV/DEC 2009. by Moonstone(f): 10:54pm On Oct 20, 2009
I am so going to camp with this batch and i'm so flippin' scared that I'll get killed or beaten to death by soldiers, LOL! I really hope it's not as bad as people make it sound. I'm almost 90% sure that I'll end up in Lagos, which is awesome.
Please are we allowed to go out of the camp? Last thing I want is me feeling like a prisoner.
TV/Movies / Re: Is Rita The Koko Mansion's Biggest Mistake? by Moonstone(f): 1:36am On Aug 08, 2009
I absolutely cannot stand Koko Mansion. I love D'banj but that show is a complete mess. It's a mockery of Big Brother - only with desperate girls.

@ Pataki, where are you o?! shocked shocked shocked

JeSoul:

kiss good to know. This Naija stint don tey oh, when are you going back to the big easy? smiley
This Naija Stint has only occurred for about 3 months and it's going on till the end of this year. I need a break from everything. When I come back it's back to school for yet another degree. I didn't have a break btw the first two - I need this one. cheesy cheesy cheesy

I just heard Parker is injured and they are not sure if he'll start the season yet. Spurs are like Arsenal without horrible plays.

a-40. the mavs won't do shit. just see how the season goes. the east is already sealed between the spurs and lakers

lol@AI thinking about going to greece. don't do it fool
Kai - see dreaming of the highest order. The East is NOT good enough to have such teams in their conference o!

Okafor in NOH makes me laugh cos I know he's capable but I'm not sure he can help them and we also signed Diogu which I find more hilarious cos I knew of him, I just did not know he was that good. It's all good - Chicago's taking Pargo. . . I missed him when he left. He might be a good addition. As for Iverson, he should start thinking retirement. He's too old for all this rubbish and he's no longer that good.

@ Jesoul, your love was delivered to me safe and sound - I missed y'all. A-40 wouldn't let me out of his sight for even 3 seconds tongue. It's quite annoying at the same time, a lil' charming cheesy cheesy.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Champions Of England! by Moonstone(f): 9:56am On Jul 03, 2009
I am just going to sit down and watch Fergie make Man U as useless as can be. . . all of a sudden, Man U is a club no one wants to join even after such success. If he messes up next season for me, I will never forgive him. It's his last year as a coach (if all goes according to plan). He better use it wisely.
