TheUbermensch:That comparison is an insult to 12 year olds around the world |
divinecode102:That's fine, but.. That is besides the point I am saying that If Jesus is the Leader of the christian culture, and he is.. And you a christian, an ambassador, as you claim.. Then you are a poor representative of the tenets of that christian philosophy as taught by the prophet In fact you do more harm than good to the christian mission It is actually you the christian faith can do without |
divinecode102:Alot of your members/brethren.. |
I laughed |
I used to think the Christians were morally sound I watched this thread, and 2 defenders of Mr Oyedepo here who should be christians... Well I checked out their posting history on this forum And the things I read.. Wow I think it is wise to be weary of Christians in real life I no longer see you people as the moral saints you portray yourselves to be Most of you are extremely arrogant I have met better Buddhists and Atheists Thanks |
divinecode102:Wow, The way you insult people I do not think I can ever follow your God Thanks |
I have a problem with the nostalgic nationalism we are displaying here What would the pride of Mongolia do for a present day Mongolian? What about the Iranian of Ancient Persia? Does national pride in their ancestral kingdoms do anything for them today? Except delusions of grandeur and unbridled pride and arrogance? I would much rather learn from those great kingdoms of times past, be knowledgeable of their successes and failures and adapt them to create a more comfortable life for myself and my loved ones today! A Quest for the Yorubas today. Learn how the Sungbo Eredo was Built in that ancient time. The technologies, the architecture as well. Then adapt them today to build greater Monuments A quest for the Edos today. Learn how the Great Walls of Benin (Comparable in size to Great Walls of China By the way!) were built, what technologies were used, their architectures, and adapt them today to build greater Monuments |
I do not like it |
Mruwa1:I do not condone a grown man calling another grown man “cute” |
PearlStreet:Whaaat! A cow? |
adetoroamos:Find something you love and do it! Industry= Necessity Or Passion Find a problem to solve around you or better yet find what you are passionate about and do it. Either path would lead to industry |
BabaRamota1980:LOL Actually I come here to learn new information and see how the "debate" is panning out But I am always dissapointed to see more of a slug fest than an actual respectful dialogue |
BabaRamota1980:I enjoyed some of your posts, because you sound witty and funny However, I do not care for this supremacy tussle you seem so enamored with I do not feel accomplished when I belittle another culture And you have chosen to belittle a culture that has respect around the globe Unlike you, I draw pride in both Oyo and Benin Pre-colonial achievements |
davidnazee:Me I wan know oh I need to know truth My greatest joy will be to travel inter-galactically Earth is one rock There are billion other rocks (earths) in this milky way galaxy alone and there are billions of galaxies! imagine the things out there? Like green women with fat a.sses! Wouldn't you like to bone a green woman bro loool |
davidnazee:Those technologies do look alien for sure There will be people in the know The masses obviously would be denied access to these details The peculiar thing about area 51 is that it will have to be in the middle of nowhere, and its workers/scientists would have to live and die there with no accesss to the outside world some wild s.hit |
@davidnazee do you know numerous ex USA military generals and army personell have come out to verify that aliens did land in the usa in the 50s?? And that area 51 is actually not a rumour? Its all on youtube But the US government want to suppress these things They have pieces of alien craft and tech they are hiding and researching |
davidnazee:It is highly likely our first ancestors were banished to the isolated earth (Garden of Eden maybe?) Because of some corrupt ways I believe there is a galactic party somewhere in space we are not allowed to go to Because of our arrogant and dangerous ways The gods come in every now and then and reveal some light to us Testing us to see... Apparently we were only meant to use technology for beneficial purposes That is why we Africans chose to live the way we do But the European... chose to disobey Haha some cool myths.. or fact! who knows! All cultures always spoke of gods bringing advanced knowledge alchemy, music, arts etc maybe those are our allahs and jehovahs and oloruns.. who knows |
BabaRamota1980:Babaramota, we cannot prove anything at this point Our fathers did not write our histories It is my word Vs yours A very futile exercise |
@davidnazee My Benin friend once told me the walls of igodomigodo were built by a giant He even knew the name of the giant, can't remember it Have you heard this before? |
davidnazee:Ancient Zimbabweans claimed they saw Ogun once in battle procession He was apparently a Robot He had gauges, cables, tubes as part of his body, he was 15 feet tall He ran when they saw him and hid I heard this from Credo Mutwa Some mad s.hit bro ![]() |
Nri's royal founder, Eri, is said to be a 'sky being' that came down to earth and then established civilization <<<<That is Igbo>>>> Benin, once known as Igodomigodo, was the kingdom of rulers who regarded themselves as sky-kings, those whose divine rule is derived from the sky – Ogiso <<<That is Edo>>> The gods of the Yoruba (called “orishas”) live in Orundu-nla, the sky. The first city of the Yoruba was Ife, founded by Obatala <<This is Yoruba>>> Don't you brothers see that there is a deep link! Linguists have long posited that Yoruba, Edo, Igala and Igbo were one language 1500 years ago Chew on that |
davidnazee:That's deep |
davidnazee:You can also admire some amazing achievements from Yoruba past For instance Borgu conquered us and exiled our king at some point We re-organized, invaded Borgu and made Borgu a vassal. The defeat of Borgu by Oyo was absolute We were one of the first Africans, if not the first to use and invent the hand looms We made fine clothed garments We also created a mythology/religion of Ifa Our organizational structure in Oyo Empire was also quite impressive We had a monarch, who was not absolute but answerable to his chiefs Similar to a modern multi-tier democratic government |
steveosaz:Your people spawned an amazing civilization that all Africans can and SHOULD be proud of Its highly reminiscent of Rome to me I have always been proud of Benin from time immemorial I also am partly Edo, I mean I was born in Edo lands and grew up around your folk.. So it will be sacriledge for me to be enemy of the land of my birth The arguement is because our fathers never wrote down their histories We were an oral history people Lost in translation I also plan on stealing some cool ideas from the ancient Edo Kingdom ![]() Some gems you Edos have forgotten about Thats how you build civilization If I succeed you will all hear and see the things I speak of |
davidnazee:I am not jealous of Edo's greatness I am inspired by it |
To my Edo cousins, Battle of Atakpamé Research that You said Oyo's were cowards Well, I do not believe I am a coward, nor my brethren My ancestors defeated the ashanti in battle. Battle of Atakpamé We also subdued Dahomey. I also admit that Benin Kingdom was a formidable force and I take great pride in that african kingdom as well I will also admit that Oyo was less powerful than Benin when the white imperialist came here Why? Fulani invasion and internal fighting Benin was the last to fall in Nigeria So mad respect to Benin However, I think you guys had a lot of factors to your advantage Territorial advantage The fulanis did not have a clear path into benin You also had alot of wealth in benin territory Rubber, Palms The white man wanted to trade with your fertile region Nonetheless, you have alot to be proud of So do my people Peace brothers |
Naive Africans Nigeria = Jew slave vs Arab slave I hate you all |
blessedvisky:That is f.ucking low You have no honour I am not from the deceased’s tribe either |
Yian1:Selassie’s body was never found so I do not know where his imperial majesty is He is constantly in my heart tho Selassie told the Europeans they will fight a major war amongst themselves soon after oppressing Africa That was the 2nd world war He told them if they followed his teachings all man would live in peace Please watch his address to the League of Nations He never claimed to be a deity and told us no man can be a deity The almighty God is a living man |
Yian1:Him being the almighty to me, is my personal choice And it is something I enjoy immensely when I pray to Jah I love him, because he fought for the freedoms I have today Read about selassie Study Jah's teachings Listen to the things he said to the League of Nations Simple, yet everlasting teachings |
Yian1:No labels, no I have a sentimental weakness for the last emperor of ethiopia He was the father of post colonial africa A true symbol of african pride at a time all african nations left and right had fallen to the guns of europe the king of salem stood firm, and defeated the italian musolini in the battle of adowa II His imperial majesty King Haile Selassie 1 of ethiopia That is the man who I revere |
