truthislight: well and fine to me but for your consistence use of the word "Gulf".@truthislight This might help. You are on a journey flying from one end of earth to the other You arrive at the airport. Go to "Departure". Check in, go through security checks. You walk down to the "Departure"lounge. As you are walking to the "Departure" lounge, in the same airport, you notice there is a glass separating "Arrivals" area and the "Departures" area The glass separating the "Arrivals" area and the "Departures" area in the airport is similar to the gulf that made the separation in Hades or Sheol Hope that helped Adam's body disintegrated back to dust and like everyone else ended up in Sheol, waiting I guess. |
shdemidemi: U need to read abt Peter well. He was one eye opened one eye close when Jesus was with them.@shdemidemi My dear bro. They aren't worthy comparing with Peter. If Peter was alive today, these "Most of today's men of God " will tremble at his sight and none of them, if asked would qualify to tie Peter's shoes laces Peter originally was called Simon before Jesus changed his name to Peter Peter is the spirit-man name when Simon was his carnal-man name Peter means "Rock" and Simon means "reed" - a reed which sways in the wind Jesus knew Peter will be unstable in "storms" or be "one eye opened one eye close" when he was with or without Him hence like Abram, Sarai or Saul had name changes Peter's up and down life and escapades, alternating & switching from or between his spirit-man & carnal-man was recorded for our benefit and to learn from, as in the below verse: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" 2 Tim 3:16 NIV |
Ubenedictus: UR EXPOSITION ON SHOEL AND HADES IS CORRECT,@Ubenedictus "The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth". - Matt 27:44 KJV "And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." - Matt 13:42 KJV Take a moment, to carefully read & ponder over the above two scripture for starters. What is happening in both verse bro? What do you think? To the untrained eyes, it does read, ridiculous and nonsensical. Gnashing of teeth after death? How come with no physical body anymore? How is this possible? Well, we know on record that the dead rich man, when in Hades, spoke with father Abraham when he saw Lazarus . . . SMH Christians relying solely on their one or singular bibles will have their work cut out for them trying to understanding these verses or similar. Only the Holy Spirit might come to the rescue and save the day for such Christians |
Ubenedictus: UR EXPOSITION ON SHOEL AND HADES IS CORRECT,@Ubenedictus I bet you wish its "JUST UR PERSONAL OPINION" bro. I have much love for you bro but YOYO! - you're on your own |
moredendisc: @Image123 frosbel: I am beginning to get worried that I agree with you on this exposition.@frosbel I do agree 100% without a shadow of doubt That "lake of fire" with the second death is another very interesting thing It is very profound and I am getting emotional just thinking of it now. The devil is a liar. Jesus is the Messiah. Praise God. |
Image123: BTW, let me ask the self-inflicted rabbis, professors and translators in the house.@Image123 The idea of "hell" does not exist in the Hebrew vocabulary or sphere of life so as a result there is no Hebrew word for hell Sheol and Hades are similar in place or location and in meaning, Sheol or Hades is a place where both the righteous and the wicked end up in after death but separated by a gulf Sheol, is in Hebrew language or Hades is in Greek language It is safe to say Sheol is Hades and vice versa Hell like similar imports into Christendom, such as Yuletide etc are myths from other people's cultures Sheol or Hades and hell are different kettle of fish The english word hell is not a good render of the word Sheol or Hades because the righteous and wicked end up in Sheol or Hades albeit separated by a gulf however supposedly only the wicked end up in hell with no righteous present |
Ubenedictus: actually dat is even worse, u made those individual arch types of false teachers, u are still judging.@Ubenedictus Which side is your bread buttered on? ![]() - That was a joke question. ![]() This is not personal nor a vendetta on individual persons It is a clarion buyer beware call to Christians Christians need to do their due diligence on doctrines and on whoever teachings They are responsible for assessing the quality of the teaching or doctrine received before buying into it # Excuse the puns |
Ubenedictus: now u just made it a witch hunt. The side that elevates Mary as Queen of Heaven, purgatory etc The post's observation was about awareness of false teachings & doctrines and not over superiority Note the mention was not exhaustive and had "s" in: ". . . the Oyakhilomes, Oyedepos, Ashimolowos, Adeboyes, TB Joshuas, Oritsejafors, Bakares, Adeboyes, Olukoyas, Okogies, aladuras, WoF, "plentyrascals" etc etc . . . " It is their ilks that are tagged, not the individuals per se bro. ![]() God bless you real good. |
Ubenedictus: i'm aware of his affiliation, i just do not fink he fits d group u added him to.@Ubenedictus Though it isn't necessarily a witch hunt campaign but merely highlighting a fact or observation The Okogies knows which side their bread is buttered on and since their allegiances or loyalties are with the RCC, they fit the group which propagates false teachings and doctrines and so get the mention |
shdemidemi: Well written. The only part I find unacceptable is the part that seem like all sinners go to hell.@shdemidemi First, start and stop using the word hell Hell is a myth belonging to other people's culture which was imported into the bible by translating Sheol or Hades to hell Hell is not and no where found in the original Hebrew or Greek texts Sheol and Hades have implications, meanings & interpretations different to hell's In essence, hello, hell no. There is no hell, particularly with, the way you imagine it to be or were taught it to be. Rendering Sheol and/or Hades as hell is a disservice to Christendom or the Christian world # There is more than the eyes see bro. Stephen's death, The thief on the cross, the Rich Man & Lazarus etc |
frosbel: I would not go down the route of insisting that all Christians use Greek or Hebrew dictionaries, for one,@frosbel Essentially the clarion call is not solely an advocacy but also an awareness, problem resolution options and false teachings & doctrines control. False teachers or dodgy bibles in the wrong hands will kill Christians. Blind teachers will indiscriminately, if not deliberately fire shots at blind Christians. If Christians can so much own or get a bible they, such Christians, since their lives depend on this, should also invest in a "bullet-proof helmet & vest kits" and "X-ray vision kits" in the form of dictionaries, lexicon, concordances etc Christians are preys and shooting targets, so if unable to duck or dive, when being shot at, the bullet-proof kit will give some degree of protection The X-ray kit, like, as with the Bereans, will allow Christians succeed by themselves in understanding teachings, interpreting scripture or in other cases identifying false teaching or doctrines. "And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul's message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth." Acts 17:11 NLV # Every Christians should aspire to be teacher, as iron sharpens iron # False teachers, beware, the chickens have come home to roost |
frosbel: KJV cult member, you need a rethink of your false teachings.KJV seemingly is innocent and has high standards but this portrayal is false and misleading KJV is not exempted from errors, because it too was biased and riddled with politics when translated Christians need to be aware of this fact and more |
Ubenedictus: u just couldnt help adding okogie there could u?@Ubenedictus Ubenedictus bro. Okogie is affiliated with RCC |
oiseworld: Soo how are we suppose to check for greek/hebrew meaning of these passages when we don't understand these languages.@oiseworld Use resources like lexicon, concordances etc etc; of course in-conjunction with the Spirit of Truth to cross check the accuracies and genuineness of translated words, texts etc of each or whichever bible version used and use to confirm whether or not the original Hebrew or Greek sentiments, intents, fact, aim, intentions etc were carried through. Put the bibles and teachings through sieves This will separate false teachings and doctrines. |
Zikkyy: I agree with you on this one@Zikkyy It wasn't a go learn Greek advocacy . . . Aren't people already relying and trusting the information being shared by the Oyakhilomes, Oyedepos, Ashimolowos, Adeboyes, TB Joshuas, Oritsejafors, Bakares, Adeboyes, Olukoyas, Okogies, aladuras, WoF, "plentyrascals" etc etc |
Image123: all armchair critics of Bible translations are advised and requested to do their own translations make we see, or keep shut.@Image123 Image123, my dear bro, the "having or burying ones head in the sand" stance na wa ooo. " . . . make we see, or keep shut" is an ostrich-person refusing to face reality, the truth or accept facts. Avoiding hearing the truth, especially when ignoring the truth, potentially could be dangerous, is not healthy The word of God in its original Hebrew or Greek texts is unique (i.e. it is impossible to have an absolute translation) The reality is that the bible is not exempted from error because the various bible translations were done based on the widespread theology at the particular translating time or also based on individual religious beliefs and theory so the need to speak, plead, or argue in favor of using resources like lexicon, concordances etc etc of course in-conjunction with the Spirit of Truth to cross check the accuracies and genuineness of translated words, texts etc of each or whichever bible version used and confirming whether or not the Hebrew or Greek sentiments, intents etc were carried through. Every Christians should be putting bibles through sieves This will separate false teachings and doctrines (e.g. like the introduction of phantom words like hell for Sheol and Hades, among a lot more others into the bible) # There are a lot more than the eyes see |
saoseun: Looking around church gatherings 2day u find more females than male at times I wonder were the Men are. saoseun: check out d irony of dis situation . . .@saoseun Do you really believe that church going automatically qualifies one as a candidate for or citizen of heaven? Since you're good with statistics, please quote us the human sex ratio on earth then What is the males to females ratio for the entire population on earth? Slow your roll and stop the wallow in ignorance. Re-read the previous responses including the bible 101 blitz course, if not, then YOYO! - You're On Your Own # "There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one man in Christ Jesus". Gal 3:28 ASV # The new appearances will not have private parts to distinguish male and female apart Private parts become redundant in the new body as it were |
JeSoul: ^spambot got you. I've untagged your post.@JeSoul Thanks! When composing the posting, I knew I was skating on thin ice but wasn't sure which of the words the spambot will pick me on Apparently it was "Genitäls", it got changed to "Cores" Yeah and I got slammed in the cooler for a hour, that's what I got for my trouble # Belated Happy New Year to you |
saoseun: Let's Imagine who will be more in Heaven Male or Female. For me I think Females will be more in heaven. Who do u think@saoseun Blitz or Crash course Bible 101: 1. Genitäls determines ones gender or sex as to whether one is male or female 2. Flesh and blood cannot inherit heaven 3. Our changed new form or appearance does not have private parts (i.e. the qualifier is not reintroduced) 4. Heaven can't tell male or female apart (i.e. sorry to squash the illusion of Male or Female in Heaven) 5. Since heaven is gender agnostic, there are no male and female for Heaven to know about |
babkazy: stop blah blah defend ur bible if u can....... FXKing2012: I dont owe it to u or anybody for that matter to defend the Bible. In fact, the Word of God does not need defending. thehomer: You should be ready to defend your faith according to your Bible. FXKing2012: Definitely not when the intent is to ridicule my God, I forbid that.Don't you just enjoy these bible verses plucking out bonanza frenzies. - The pluck out a verse, I'll out do you by plucking out my own verses and wave it/them in your face acts the na-nana-naa-nah; two-can-play-the-game act! # OP already was tagged a trouble stirrer # however JeSoul has gone further to blow wide open his cover # and also reveal the mischief OP is up to |
The reasons why Christians are falling for false teachings and doctrines and putting up with it are because Christians over the years have been preconditioned and set up by the status quo and establishment to fall for the false teachings and doctrines Moreover, since most Christians, don't know any better and are none the wiser, they will believe whatever debasement(s) are flung at them, hook, line and sinker The journey at this side of eternity, unfortunately for Christians, does not stop with only reading the bible. but also to read beyond these errant bible translations (i.e. all in varying degrees have strayed from the proper or real meanings of some word(s) in the original Hebrew and Greek texts/scripture) and to study beyond these errant bible translations to show oneself approved unto God. Not nice unwelcome or harmful things happen when Christians practice or repeat teachings and doctrines without properly or exhaustively analysing or comprehending them. Christians need to be considering wordings, teachings and doctrines in details and to understand these wordings, teachings, doctrines etc instead of lapping up regurgitates and lies without questioning anything If a teaching or doctrine sounds too good to be true, it means it's more than likely a lie. Mindful example will be ""You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman." Gen 3:4 NIV Christians should not base their understanding principally on the Bible alone, because ALL the translations are errant as hinted earlier on above. Christians should be carrying out investigations on words, texts etc and referencing them from whichever bible they are using, with the original Hebrew/Greek texts It is ONLY the original Hebrew/Greek texts that are inerrant and not KJV and the other translated Bible(s) Christians reading the bible by itself, only, without cross checking words, texts etc with the original Hebrew/Greek texts can be and will be damned by the bible. This is the silver bullet and way forward, of course in-conjunction with the Spirit of Truth, for such a complicated problem as this # Side-lining the bible translations (i.e. KJV et al) what does the wordings "eternal punishment" Matthew 25:46 really mean from the original Greek text's perspective |
deebrain: Eh? Oga, as much as possible, avoid bringing names of pastors here . . .@deebrain You're more concerned about his skin than the sheeple's under his guard? Tell it like it is! I'll say It is an observation that needs for posterity sake to be mentioned that, he, caught on camera, sold a hell false doctrine |
frosbel: ^^^^^@frosbel The way in which various books were combined and arranged to form or compile the Bible, the way the bible and translations were planned preconditions and sets one up to sheeple-ishly receive false doctrines, erroneous notions Translations were done on prevalent theology and not on the Hebrew/Greek original text. Imagine Bishop Oyedepo saying "You are not set for deliverance, and you are free to go to hell!" Hello! Hell no. There is no hell. The sheeple think the KJV is inerrant, like the Hebrew or Greek original texts are. The American Bible Society, in 1851, compared six different editions of the King James Bible and discovered over 24,000 variations between the sampled editions for a particular Bible translation. Like to believe that though it can be slow, surely, the veil will gradually be removed from eyes. The knowledge and true translations or true meaning of words such as "torment", "punishment", "everlasting", "the rich asking for water", "the rich cried out" etc etc from the original text will remove the lack of understanding and clear up all these theology muddles. |
Goshen360: Yeah, you got me twisted...nice one!Bro, do a Nike, have a Kit-Kat, you know you want to, especially when your bed is calling # Go to bed! Go and sleep abeggy |
Goshen360: So I should spend my time answering his copy and paste work without any assurance of rewards? Why should you be answering OP, especially when it was noted OP is a a neophyte, an ignoramus for that matter.OP's post needed to let roll off like "water off a ducks back" without answering Goshen360 got his knickers in a twist ![]() Yes, I do understand the meaning of TIME - Time is gold. Goshen360: The word of God is under attack in our days and generation. It's easy to spot a neophyte, particularly an ignoramus, when you see one. This is water off a duck's back. |

Tips on how to publish your own blockbuster Hit ebook authors offer tips on how to publish your own blockbuster Eleven authors earned more than £100,000 last year from self-publishing books via Amazon - now three of the most successful offer their tips. Many of us think we might have a 'novel in us' - but over the past year, Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing service has allowed dozens of authors to achieve that dream. Eleven authors earned more than £100,000 via Kindle Direct Publishing in the past year - part of a 400% increase in the number of independent authors self-publishing in the UK. Along with rival self-publishing services such as Kobo, Amazon allows authors to upload books as common files such as Word documents, and publish near-instantly on Amazon's Kindle Store - without paying an agent or a publisher. Some of the most successful self-published authors of 2012 offer their tips below - including how to price a first book, how to design a cover and write blurb, and how to do your own PR. https://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/jHkib2w7ypXEX5rtKds8yA--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTE5MA--/http://l.yimg.com/os/251/2013/01/15/NickSpalding01-jpg_112048.jpg Southampton-based author Nick Spalding is the best-selling Kindle Direct Publishing author of the year with two books in the KDP top 10. Since finding success on Kindle, Spalding has secured a deal with publisher Hodder and Stoughton. Spalding describes the process of self-publishing as, "nice and easy". Authors can upload popular document such as Word files, format them via the website, and publish in "a matter of hours". "The interface was simple to use, the whole thing took a matter of hours to finish," says Spalding. "Why wouldn’t you decide to self-publish when it’s that easy to do?" "I uploaded the book and then kept everything crossed that I wouldn’t get laughed off the internet, then I started to get to grips with the whole ‘marketing’ thing, and deduced that a low price point was the way to go (99p in my case in the UK). I could also make re-edits when necessary (which were easy to do given how quick KDP allows you to upload new versions)." "It's the best way for new authors to go - why wouldn't it be? It’s the best situation for all concerned. Authors get their work to the public straight away and earn money right off the bat – and agents and publishers have a far better mechanism for choosing which authors to work with than the old slush pile. It’s win-win for everyone really." "First, though, you have to write a really, really good book. That’s your first task! Don’t worry about anything else until you’ve written a killer book. You can spend thousands of pounds promoting and polishing that novel until it shines like the surface of the sun, but if it’s a bad read (or even worse... mediocre) you’re up manure creek without a paddle, and no mistake. "After that, the trick is to make your book look and read as professionally as any trade published novel. It simply isn’t good enough to slap up an amateur effort if you want to get anywhere. Professional edit, professional blurb, professional cover... and most importantly, professional author. Treat this endeavour as what it is: a BUSINESS, with everything that word entails. "I certainly wouldn’t have released anything to the public without at least one other person proofing and helping me edit my books. I’m lucky to have been pretty good at graphic design so I did my own covers, but if you have no or little experience, get somebody who knows what they’re doing to design your cover. The world doesn’t need any more badly Photoshopped stock images as eBook covers https://l3.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/Aogh5KfslvhnpIEyETvLgw--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTE1MA--/http://l.yimg.com/os/251/2013/01/15/Ben-Galley-jpg_112253.jpg Ben Galley has used a combination of self-publishing and 'crowdfunding' via sites such as KickStarter to fund his books. Sites such as KickStarter allow people to raise money for projects - often technology or game launches - via a project page which asks for public donations. Galley aims to raise money for a graphic novel of one of his novels via the site. He says a low price can be key to initial success - many Kindle authors self-publish at 99p or less, at least to begin with. "I published at a low price first, to entice initial readers and reviews, which are more important than ever these days," says Galley. "But I then increased my prices, and saw a good increase in revenue because of it." "Occasionally I'll reduce the price again for Christmas or whatever to keep it from being static. "Kindle Direct Publishing also allows you to change your books for free, should you need to. I revamped my eBooks late last year, and it couldn't have been easier." Galley advises aspiring authors to get help with editing. "DIY is only suggested if you know you can get your book to a professional and I mean PROFESSIONAL. Self-published books need to be indistinguishable from those of a traditional publisher in order to give an author a chance of success, and to garner positive reviews on which we are now so dependent." https://l1.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/7b6v_U4SUQcISveIct9AwQ--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTE1MA--/http://l.yimg.com/os/251/2013/01/15/Mel-Sherratt-jpg_112541.jpg Mel Sherratt's Taunting the Dead went to number eight on the Kindle chart for 2012 - after she had been rejected by major publishers. "Having been turned down by major publishers for several years, I’d seen a few self-published authors rising up the Kindle charts and wondered if this was a way to get my work seen too," says Sherratt. "I decided to study ebooks on Kindle for a few months and then have a go at publishing my own. I put Taunting the Dead out at 99p and kept it at that price for the first two months." "But when it hit number three in the overall Kindle chart, I put the price up slightly and it still sold well. "It's been a good way for me to go, because I enjoy writing guest blog posts and doing my own PR as such. It takes time to fit in around the writing though but it’s definitely worth a shot – like me, who knows where it might lead you?" "More and more books are being picked up after they’ve hit the charts, especially as authors may have attractive sales figure to negotiate with." |
frosbel: ^^^@frosbel You've prolly worked out, am not of the purgatory brigade Jesus, His body was put to death, had a 3 day OOBE; OOBE for a lack of a better description, then was brought to life through his spirit, before deterioration had a chance to set on the body. It'll be nice to know your position about Jesus Christ; Position, as in, whether that, Jesus, is of, a First name, baptismal or personal name sort and Christ, is not, of a Last name or surname sort. Also what's your reflection or take relative to Jesus and God with regards to the bolded in Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6 "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel ". - Isaiah 7:14 KJV "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." - Isaiah 9:6 KJV Is anything too hard for the LORD? Please let's have the pleasure of your take on and position about the Omnipotence, Omnipresence and Simultaneous Occurrence of God |
frosbel: No, he cannot.@frosbel Death, indeed, is an all encompassing experience but fundamentally it is a dividing line - a multi-tier one, as it were for that matter ". . . you cannot die and be alive in another form or shape . . ." - that's a bit emphatic and "fatwa" soundingSurrealism? Maybe not the way you suppose or understand it ![]() # Need wind down a bit and grab a bite, I'll be back or will I not . . . |
There is only way to enter earth. That way is through the "door" Either come in through the door and if the dividing line is crossed, then the way to legally re-enter back to EARTH will be via that same vessel, that is, if it is still intact . . . otherwise who is not entering through the door is a thief # I've reached my stop and will have to continue later |
@frosbel Further to what was earlier said "Death is a dividing line" - a multi-tier one as it were for that matter It is a separation . . . # I'll soon be at home to continue & elaborate # Oh yes. Undoubtedly, Jesus died fully as you inferred. He also like Lazarus had a vessel or rainment intact and fit to return to, upon coming back from the sleep or death |

not completely sha, but i agree.
