Christianity EtcRe: Ayo Oritsejafor Linked To S.african Arms Smuggling by morefire: 3:15pm On Sep 16, 2014
Xeedorf: Christian Association of Nigeria President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has been linked to the arms smuggling jet caught by South African authorities on Monday 15 September.

Online news platform, SaharaReporters claims that investigations have linked the flamboyant pastor who is a close friend of President Goodluck Jonathan to smuggling of arms.

South African police began investigating two Nigerians and an Israeli citizen who tried to bring $9.3 million in cash into the country illegally, a spokesman said on Monday.

There were suspicions that the money could be meant for arms. The Nigerians, coming from Abuja, were not identified, according to a report by Reuters.

The plane, a Bombardier Challenger 600, had a Nigerian flight crew on board. It was piloted by Captain Tunde Ojongbede, according to City Press.

Adrian Lackay, spokesperson for the SA Revenue Service (Sars), confirmed that customs officers became suspicious when the passengers’ luggage was unloaded and put through the scanners just after 7pm. The officers then investigated and found three suitcases full of cash.

The passengers apparently told officials they were acting on behalf of the Nigerian intelligence service.
They provided documentation confirming they had come to South Africa to buy weapons. It is not clear whether the Israeli passenger was an intelligence operative or an arms dealer.

PoliticsRe: PDP Has Made Ribadu A Laughing Stock? by morefire: 4:08pm On Sep 11, 2014
Ryabcool: do you think i also like PDP/APC? My votes might go to APC because of their achievements in my state of Origin as compared to when PDP was in power, but that does not mean i like the people at their helm of affairs. Both parties are crooks in my opinion. Get that straight.

Now as to whether Ribadu made a wrong choice or not, i'll leave that to him to decide even though i have my reservations. BUT, you coming along to justify him going to the PDP with the implied promise of Ministerial and Diplomatic appointments as compensation is my main grouse.

How can you as a Nigerian who would most likely want the betterment of the country even think of suggesting that? If you have a genuine cause, you would shun such suggestion in its totality. You are obviously not different from the system you claim to go against.

The fact that you are trying to twist the subject of my criticism with the guise of bad governance only goes to show that YOU are the true daft one here. Not everyone on this site is a fool and i am definitely not on the foolish side. I know an evasive tactic when i see one.

The fact that YOU typed that he would most likely be given an appointment is OBVIOUSLY an attempt at justification. Whether you deny it or not, your words IMPLIED it. So save that sidestep attempt for when you have baby mama issues. undecided
eyah... sorry you hear... the long and short is Ribadu sha made the rightest choice for his political career...

later we wonder how people fail after writing so much...... question was easy and straight forward now we have moved from weda or not Ribadu made the right choice to bad governance, your state, Who you will vote for next year, Baby Mama

Ribadu made the right choice shikinah...

Ryabcool: people like you are the reasons why Nigeria will never progress. A nation where Ministerial and Diplomatic appointments are given based on political interests and not on merit. What has that Obanikoro done to impact the lives of the average Nigerian? Fela said it; "Na Padi Padi government we dey".... Shame on you.
BUT WAIT OH the argument was never about bad governance now!!

it was about weda Ribadu made the wrong choice or not...

you should learn how to criticize without looking daft now..

do you think I like PDP or APC?

or do you think I dont know about the negative effect of the padi padi appointment? but that was not the subject matter.. it was about ribadu and his choices............ gosh

RockMaxi: He made him himself the laughing stock.
how?

take this from me and write todays date down

the Ribadu you say is a laughing stock will become either of the three

Adamawa state Governor in 2015
a Minster In Nigeria
or an ambassador

understand how the game is played my guy.. Ribadu has made a very good choice for himself APC wasnt paying him
PoliticsRe: PDP Has Made Ribadu A Laughing Stock? by morefire: 6:38am On Sep 11, 2014
Mogidi: APC will not leave Ribadu alone and for a good reason, he was one of the few shining lights in APC.

Kwankwanso should concentrate on Kwankwasiyya, Ribadu is under the umbrella now. He can never lose with PDP, the least position he gets would be ambassadorial, with APC he'd remain in opposition for life.

Ribadu will be the one making Kwankwanso a laughing stock next year.
walahi you are too gbaski... you understand how the game is played... Ribadu no win election last last he go chop minister or ambassador.. see Obanikoro now... leave awon APC mofos to de talk..
PoliticsRe: PDP Has Made Ribadu A Laughing Stock? by morefire: 6:35am On Sep 11, 2014
mistudreh: Ribadu isn't a politician. He has not been able to understand the political cycle of Nigeria. The very moment he opted for PDP has ruined his future political ambition... He has betrayed the trust many young Nigerians had in him. Many see him as one of the few credible figures that could lead and develop Nigeria. Take it or leave it, Ribadu's political career has been finished.
you dont mean it.... please i will take you on now in a simple conversation... name one credible politician in APC
PoliticsRe: President GEJ Is A Good Man, Leading A Bad Administration: How Possible? by morefire: 4:46pm On Sep 10, 2014
egift: Often in public discussion, people use this line a lot, that "President is a good man, who is leading a bad administration". I keep wondering if it can be possible? Or everyone is just being respectful and polite?

Looking at those wonderful smiles on President Jonathan, one cannot imagine that:
- Billions of Police pension funds were stolen in broad day light and the culprit did not spend a day in prison.
- Under this administration, Oil marketers along with relevant economic and Petroleum agencies in government connived and spent an excess of over a trillion illegally as subsidy payment and not even a single person is in jail (Not even one!)
- Despite world-class agencies, this administration still cannot find were between 10.9 to 20 billion dollars oil reveanue earned from Sales of Oil went to.
- With all our legendary armed forces agencies, we cannot enter Sambisa Forest (in fact they do "Ojuju Calabar" to us by telling us how the savannah forest is larger than Lagos state). The President have mapped out sections of Nigeria he can visit and areas he dreads.
- With over Trillion naira budgeted for security alone, Nigerian Army are still fighting BH with lousy AK47s. No National Arms database. We cannot boost of a single State of the Art 21st Century Military hardware that can strike fear on the enemies of Nigeria by seeing the picture alone.
- Can you imagine that under the same man, large number of unemployed Nigerian youths were scammed in a phantom Immigration recruitment, their little pocket money stolen, 17 killed - and nobody is held responsible, nobody resign, none was sacked and the money was not even refunded.
- How about all the killings (from hell Boko are killing Nigerians, and the soldier will land and post a higher number of killings).
- And many others...

So, is it possible that he is a good man, presiding over the most corrupt administration in our history (more money have been stolen in the last 5years than any other administration), Or every one is just respecting our Oga because the truth is so heavy the mouth cannot say?

butanep: Any first class from private university nor follow... Am not saying their first class is not brilliant but then nor follow... I was watching a private university convocation on day and a dept(accounting) produce 18 first class... Just 1 dept ooo... I vex off my TV... Private sch want you to pass by all means but public university want you to fail and come bak again, so if you pass, it means you ve strong head...
well since you had a 4.2 i will assume that you are intelligent and knowledgeable enough to comprehend what am about to say.

The reason why you it's that hard in public schools is because you have lecturers that like to form James bond.

I have met over 30 first class students from private unis brother you can say they dont like stress, you can say because of the decadence in our public school they might not have made a 1st class but trust me on this one THEY ARE SMART! VERY VERY SMART.

in 2012, accounting UNILAG (at least you cant say UNIBEN is better than UNILAG now) produced about 15 1st class students, upon inquiry i discovered that they were all professional students, some already chattered while the rest are almost chattered I mean ACCA, ICAN hence it gave them a boost and it was quiet easy to do a 1st

same thing goes to the private uni i know some of them even make ICAN very compulsory (baba person wen don tear ICAN or ACCA except your lecturer na whinch e go de easy to do first class for accounting now)

i understand your post very well but with this few points of mine i hope i have been able to convince you but not to confuse you that Private Uni 1st class follow for the matter

thank you
or do you want more points

this is why Nigeria is still in her current state.. backward thinking like this. I am an Edo boy, i was pained when i saw on the news that the medical faculty of the only FG university in my state had lost its accreditation instead of being a fanatic and hoping on old awards i decided to inquire into the reason why. simple truth showed that students were interested in becoming 'MEN' as against being students..

FYI if you had half the education i have your life would have been better for it

take your hate game somewhere else man... A school was dis-accredited.... the question would be What has gone wrong

if you fail look closely seek the reason why

EducationRe: Best Nigerian Universities For Studying Medicine by morefire: 4:28pm On Sep 04, 2014
Afghanistan: Forget that Unilorin o. I was a medical student there and I must say its really overrated. Insufficient classroom, poor conditions, poor structures and also, the lecturers. Majority of the lecturers no sabi anything as most of them are doctors who were just hired to take up lecturing to fill the gap. Imagine the HOD of a department who cannot speak good english and he calls himself a graduate of MB;BS and has a PHD in anatomy only to miseducate students in anatomy. That's why its very difficult to find professors there. Only a few professors. Another problem is the issue with departments. The college of medicine in unilorin don't have enough departments. They don't even have dentistry, physiotherapy, radiography and so on. Even nursing was just recently established. Despite all these, they keep on withdrawing students anyhow, destroying their careers all in the name of medicine. You just have to make the best of everything in this life and try to be successful in all endeavours. Just believe that you'll make it and with hardwork, you will.
Best Regards.
See i keep saying this Uniilorin has not joined the big unis yet. they only have a very fast calender thanks to the fact that they are not in ASUU thats all...
