Hey guys good afternoon. Please has anyone who did Biometric on 5th October (standard visa) received their passports back?

I confirmed the decision was made October 15th for my husband (it was granted) but we are yet to receive our passports back

VISA ALERT

Application Type: Student Visa PhD

Applied on the 16th of October

Rescheduled Biometric earlier set for 20th October to 21st October (next day)

I did Biometrics on the 21st of October in Abuja (Priority)

Received a Non straight forward mail on the 25th of October

Sent a paid email to UKVI on the 30th of October

Received an email about decision on 2nd November

Collected my visa via courier 5th November

Student visa valid till Jan 1st, 2026

It is instructive to note that I had an immigration problem with regards "overstaying" in the UK ten years ago, which ultimately carries a 10 year ban. I wasn't sure if I was effectively on a ten year ban or not but had to wait for 10 years to apply to enter the UK again. At some point I wasn't sure what to expect of the outcome, thats why this outcome is a super relief for me and a shot at second chance.

I am grateful to everyone here whose inputs I learnt from and believe more testimonies will come out from here.

Off to Glasgow in a couple of weeks.

Biometrics (Standard) TLS Ikeja : October 22.
Collection email: 1 Nov.
Passport Collected: 1 Nov. 3PM.

Did a long ass call with some friends there and i would advise that people paid at least 70 - 80% of their fees. They said it's not all green there. If you can delay gratification and do well, you'll thank God you made the move. Leaving sums like 8k, 9k etc unpaid is risky. Leave sums that you can gather from family or yourself as unpaid at best. So you can pay easily if push comes to shove. I wish everyone well. God bless.

My dependant just got his visa. On his application it has Restricted work, no sportsperson no public funds. Does it mean he can't work?

House please help me I applied on the 27th of September student dependant visa priority service till date I have not gotten any email from tls.i have call the home office and I was told a decision has been made and case closed this was on the 14th of October and they escalated it. On Friday last week I called again and I was still told a decision has been made and case closed still no mail from tls. I have been to tls today it's not with them still. Please what can I do again tls said is with the embassy and they will escalate it
