They probably will end up getting what they want and are agitating for,*** those demands and monthly pay checks and benefits**** while physicians works their assss off to show them they are dispensable**** which begs the question ""who is fooling whom""". Both groups make it sound as if it is a show of who is more important and here you have the doctors striving all possible means to display their importance albeit less professionally with stoneage and medieval methods to partially fulfill both their collective goals """taking care of patient """. Funny how doctors are being used in this turf war, you hold the fort while they have it out with the government to get something they desire. Genius. |

retepmurt: Government shd be proactive this time around 1.Get auto analysers for lab investigations, also the doctors in lab wil be helpful 2.Recruit some CHEWs to replace nurses and with house officers on ground. 3.Recruit plumbers, drivers and electricians on contract basis 4.patients purchase drugs outside the hosp. With these on ground and the committment of the Doctors, our hospitals wil run normally with little or no hitch. So pathetic... this comment. Your reasoning is so substandard that it makes us the real professionals want to puke. I work with professionals not shortcut replacements, because I want to prove some mediocre points...I have to go back to primitive medical practices... No. Government should give them what they are entitled to but the relativity in salary should be maintained. |

manny4life: $200 is cool money
Annual hrs is about 2,040 hrs x $200 = $408,000
Abegi, this is not true jare... A nurse making $408k annually multiplied by how many tens of nurses. If nurses are making $408k, then doctors will be making $1 million. The lab scientist and research teams will be making more than nurses, then doctors will make $1million. How much is the annual budget? Ebola teams are paid depending on the level of contact they have with the bodily fluids and care given to patients by each professionals. Research scientists and lab scientists works with the collected fluid but doctors most importantly nurses swims in the bodily fluid while caring for the patients. This is not salary so it won't be a bad taste to compensate them adequately. |
Career › Re: Pharmacy Vs Nursing! by Morotov1(m): 3:47am On Oct 24, 2014 |
saxywale: Lol.. anyone can be a nurse, I have seen people with degrees in arts change to nursing... but not everyone can be a doctor or pharmacist. That is why there remunerations are wide apart.
In Canada, entry level nurses make $40-50k per year, while entry level pharmacist make over $100k a year. You can see the difference is clear.
Even in Nigerian government hospitals, pharm starts from around 140k, I think nursing starts around 70-80k/month. Pharm and doctors can also set up their own private practice but nurses can't, only done illegally in Nigeria.
@op, you also need to be very brilliant to scale through pharmacy school, pharmacy is not for every tom dick n harry, infact in the USA, you would need a first degree in the sciences with top grades before pharmacy school would consider your application for admission. na you know your capability.
In comparing likes for likes in the health sector. Everywhere in the world, in terms of pay, after doctors(including dentist), the next in line are pharmacist, then physios. Laboratory scientist, dieticians, respiratory therapist e.t.c even earn more than nurses if we place them all on same level. |

mk3jax: Don't worry since you're not married. I was also very positive of women when i was single and didn't really understand what men go through when they complain about their wife. Many women are very different when they get married. They believe they own the man and he has no say in his life any more. I will not argue with you abut hope you get the right woman when you marry. I said all the positive things you are saying above when I was single until I saw the reality of being married to someone that complain about everything you do. You need a fuccccking vacation to clear your head. Ever wonder what this wife of yours will say about you, it always goes both ways. Sport your shitttts out without resentment. alentyno: Are you for real? Haven't you heard of the term 'locum pharmacist'. You definitely sound like a pharmacy student smh For real as in how? Locum pharmacist as in locum doctor? In a lawless country/state of your origin it is quite obtainable but it is frowned on if it is not operated and charged by a certified pharmacist whether locum or not according to international best practices. If you have itchy fingers for benefits of pharmacy, get the degree. Personally I hate shortcuts. Meanwhile, I am not a pharmacist... working or still in school....whatsoever. |

Yeah....do everything in your power to discredit Nigeria further. It is a pity that the fight for world supremacy in everything even in Ebola outbreak and curtailing has to be this dirty.
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle (a small antelope) wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up, it knows it must outrun the fastest gazelle or it will starve to death.
It does not matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle; when the sun comes up you'd better be running.--Herb Caen (San Frisco chronicle).
We've got to outrun US on Ebola....
Meanwhile.. hustling continues. |

Why not leave and avoid this harem you are going to find yourself in? If the woman enters...you will be counted as part of the property of the man....not a partner anymore. Make this man jealous by showing him that the world does not revolve around him. Ask yourself what you're gonna gain from a polygamous home which has already left you unfulfilled in your present monogamous relationship. Your are making the emotional adjustment while your guy is frolicking on getting his new bride home.
Wake up sis, and check your options again. |
