I have not been around since 2016 , so I have not renewed the license since then. Now I'm planing to renew the vehicle's license pls what steps do I need to take and do I need to renew both the license, roadworthiness and insurance since 2016 to date or its just the license? How much will it cost? I'm thinking of re-registered the vehicle if the amount is too much. Please help a brother. Thanks |

A senior officer at the Lagos State Police Command has confirmed to PUNCH Metro that a directive had been given for the release of Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, aka Baba Ijesha, from custody. The source said due to the ongoing strike by members of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria, courts had ceased from sitting and the suspect could not be detained indefinitely without trial. The source, however, said investigation into the recent allegation against Omiyinka revealed that he did not defile the victim, adding that when she was questioned, the victim confirmed the same. The senior police officer stated, “There was no case of defilement, people are just talking out of sentiment. They are not talking from the point of law. We interviewed all parties involved in the case for three hours today (Wednesday). “The mother complained that her child was at the age of seven when she was defiled and the child pointed at Baba Ijesha. But the case was not reported until she was 14 years and under the law, the case has become statute-barred. “Regarding this new case, the CCTV footage has been assessed and nowhere was it captured that Baba Ijesha defiled her. The footage only showed him touching the victim’s body but it never showed him having any sexual intercourse with the girl. The girl also confirmed the same thing. “So, in law, it is a case of indecent assault and not sexual harassment, and it is open to bail. So, can we continue to keep him when the offence is subject to bail and when there is no court sitting? That is against his fundamental human rights and the police do not work on sentiments. Directives have been given out for his release on bail.” The source, however, said that despite granting Omiyinka bail, investigation would continue, adding that the command had also sought legal opinion from the state Ministry of Justice. The source added, “A test was recently done on the victim and it was discovered that she had penetration. Is it the penetration of seven years that is still evident now, and who penetrated her then? Is there any medical report linking the man (Omiyinka) to the crime? “The CCTV footage never showed Baba Ijesha defiling her, but he confessed to touching her body indecently and apologised, and the girl confirmed the same. We are not specialists in the field and we have also sought legal opinion from the Ministry of Justice.” Meanwhile, popular comedienne, Adekola Adekanya, aka Princess, narrated details of the incident during a live broadcast on Instagram on Wednesday. During the broadcast, she said people, who were compassionate about her childlessness, entrusted the victim and five other children to her care, adding that after Omiyinka allegedly defiled the minor, she started behaving strangely. She stated, “The child started failing in school, I paid for private lessons and when I told my family, they told me we should pray, maybe it is spiritual. But I kept on saying that something is wrong, this child has changed. “My friend talked to the child again to know what was going on, she told us what happened, I was shocked… I called the CCTV company to set a camera, we asked everybody to go out and stay in a neighbour’s house, she (the victim) was afraid, we said she should calm down… “He came in and saw that there was nobody at home and I told him I want to see dstv people off and I will stay long…I dropped my phone, went out and locked the door. Two seconds later, he stood up, begin to check my whole house to be sure that none of the children were inside sleeping. “I can’t begin to relay the things that he did, I was shaking because we were monitoring it on the phone. Police came immediately and picked him up, I asked him, Lanre, what is my offense? You know I didn’t give birth and the children were in my care so I won’t be thinking and you did something like this to me? He said it is the devil…” https://punchng.com/baba-ijesha-may-be-released-friday-police-source/?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter&&utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter&__twitter_impression=true

Please Car owners, Mechanics and Engineers in the house. My car start misbehaving after mechanic fixed something from the Engine. There was this sound that always come out from the Engine before,so I took it to this mechanic and he fix it. Since the day I picked it from Ayobo(the mechanic workshop) I have not enjoyed the car again, it stopped more than 20times whenever it enters gallop or i try to slow down a bit. So I have to turn back and take it the mechanic agaiñ who later change something in it ( he showed me the part) and I pick the car again, it stopped once but it start again and I was able to drive it home even with the heavy traffic it didn't stop till I reach home (Ijoko otta). I drive only on weekend, so the next weekend I drive it again it stopped twice and stop, today is the third week and I drive it again is now getting worse as it stops like 10mins interval like 5 times before it stop. Note that it only cut and pick again immediately I start it back. The AC has not been working after the repair, I don't have time yet to take it to AC repairer to know the actual fault. When I called the mechanic he advised me to meet a Rewire because it could be electrical fault, I have not met any yet cos I'm thinking of running scan on the car first so I won't be spending on wrong thing but I don't know any one who can scan it around Sango Otta yet. Please help me o, what could have caused the issue ? Is it mechanic or Electrical or is there something I need to do? The car is Subaru Impreza 2011 model. Thanks |

The indigenous union for Ileogbo, a town in Ayedire Local Government Area of Osun State, Ileogbo Unity Forum, has reacted to the recent call made by the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi, for the relocation of Fulani herdsmen into his domain. The union described the call as a threat to the security of lives and property of the people of the area. The ancient forum, which is the central union for Ileogbo indigenes home and in the Diaspora, viewed the call with great concern, saying the people of Ileogbo would not subscribe to the influx of Fulani herdsmen into any part of Ayedire, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa Local Government Areas in general and Ileogbo Kingdom in particular. In a statement jointly signed by the National President, Anthony Owolabi and Social and Publicity Secretary, Ayotunde Adedokun, they stated that the decision of the Forum was with a view to nipping in the bud likely danger posed by infiltration of areas by criminal elements who might disguise as herdsmen. The press release said, “This call, by all of its intent and purpose is capable of engendering an influx of all manners of Fulani herdsmen into the three Local Government Areas that make up Ayedire/Iwo/Olaoluwa Federal Constituency and threat to security of lives and property of the people of the area. “In spite of our firm belief in the right to freedom of movement by every Nigerian and the right to reside and conduct their lawful business in any part of the country, the people of Ileogbo will not subscribe to an unregulated influx of Fulani herdsmen into any part of Ayedire, Iwo and Ola Oluwa Local Government Areas in general and Ileogbo Kingdom in particular. “This is with a view to nipping in the bud the likely danger posed by infiltration of the rank of resident Fulanis by criminal elements who might disguise as herdsmen. “It is with pain and bitterness that we recall the bitter experience of the past which led to the sack of old Ileogbo by Fulani mercenaries that were contracted by Iwo community to wage war on the ancient town of Ileogbo around 1820. “We want to assure all Fulanis who have been residing in the Kingdom for ages of our continued hospitality, but we urge them not to play host to criminal elements who may want to infiltrate their ranks for the purpose of perpetrating their evil acts. We want peace and development in Ileogbo. “We hereby call on the sons and daughters of Ileogbo and all residents to report to law enforcement agencies, all strangers, whose conducts are suspicious. Security of lives and property is everybody’s concern.” https://jomog.com.ng/2021/04/18/iwo-ileogbo-indigenes-reply-oluwo-over-call-for-fulani-to-relocate-to-his-domain/
