Statues are a means of communication. Today we capture images of people by video, pictures and the like. You can as well refuse to snap pictures or refuse to use camera phones because have images of people or to watch TV or even look at your image in the mirror.

If impure images (like porn ) could lead people to sin. Does it not occur to you that there would be images that would lift our hearts to holy things, noble things? Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things above.

We have images of saints and the apostles also. Just as we have Christian movies that are meant to edify us. Besides God even allowed the shadow (image) of Peter to work miracles (Acts 5:15-16 )
