Jodera: Partey for Jorginho, I agree but we wouldn't still have attacked them effectively cos all valid attackers are gone(Jesus, Trossard, Odegaard)
I doubt Viera would dou zilch and the rest of Havertz, Nketiah no go do anything.
That's my point Saka and Martinelli were still on the pitch so we still have valid attackers on the pitch. Vieira definitely would have been more effective than ESR. |

Jodera: Few days ago, I know I mentioned Mostob to say most arsenal fans aren't criticizing Havertz like that again cos of his CF position.
We could see how we struggled especially in the 2nd half. Havertz can't even hold ball down if person near am.
Omorr this match pain me sha There is a thin line between pessimistic and lowering expectations. The latter was the reason behind that post I made about going again next season. Havertz will be serving 2-game suspension in EPL. That's a disadvantage sha... Might turn out to be a big blow. |

Jodera: Partey and Viera wouldn't have done things in this match. The removal of Odegaard even scattered everything
We needed someone to attack their defence not buildups from back cos we're not lacking that — GJ and Trossard. Same thing like Bayern Before you can attack their defence as you said, you must be the one with possession. With Odegaard out, we lost the ball many times. This is where Partey and Vieira would have been effective. We needed to hold possession which ESR and Jorginho couldn't do. |

Shegzdave: I think we all agreed Harvertz in midfield is short one?
Arteta dey learn from his mistakes so? Havertz is definitely better at CF than in midfield but that's not really a problem today. We just failed to convert our chances. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 7:00pm On Apr 14, 2024 |
Jodera: We had a strong lineup that Maximizes Rice strength for him to attack and minimise Havertz weakness in the team. The team is always fluid with that lineup..
And when things seems difficult, we can call on Jesus and Trossard, Zinny from the bench to give firepower against the tiring team. That's essentially what is called squad depth
But you started your squad depth (in Jesus and Trossard, Zinny) and when things are hot you remove them and put in people who aren't game changers(Tomi, Jorginho).
Worst part is that our play wasn't as fluid as it ought to be.
Arteta fvcked up for this one. From Lineup to Subs.
This one really pain me cos I saw it coming Na Jorginho still caused the second goal. Someone was already pointing out options for him to pass but baba still lost the ball. Tomiyasu for White was spot on. White was tired and Zaniolo was running riot on that wing. Partey instead of Jorginho and Vieira instead of ESR. We would have fair better. |

daveP: No problem. We have different perspectives to this loss. But you should accept that I'm not coming out for Kai ALONE. I did come for others. My total angle comes from the quality of this opposition and their manager not just any other regular game.
Why did he respect City with Haram but set up this docile way against someone like Ebening? I can't explain abeg. From Ebening to Tuchel it is. So we meuve. But no kon tell me say i dey mean the guy. Ask our manager why he thinks that guy is the approach to almost EVERYTHING. He won't be available for the next 2 EPL games sha. I think that should satisfy everybody. |

Immediately I saw the lineup, I was afraid and I suspected we might drop point but iamoyindamola said they starters deserved to start. We don see am na Nothing was wrong with that lineup. The substitutions really disrupted the match. |

That Martinelli part you talked about is not true. I no go gree for that one. It was obvious. Lol. Na you no dey comprehend. Havertz should have scored one of those chances in the first half. Jesus was poor, same as Saka bút na Kai you dey sout for here. When Kai was scoring consecutively, we nor hear your voice. It is kinda irritating shouting Kai Kai in every post. The funny thing is that if Arteta had used his normal lineup, everybody here would still be the one to shout say why not rest some key players for Bayern.
There was no issue with that lineup, Arteta messed up with the substitutions. |

daveP: mostob was saying i too dey the guy matter. Forgetting that i dey fear God Ebening and hence, I'm expecting an A+ game from whoever is tasked with scoring. Ebening is kinda like a let them own 1st half, I'll use the last 15mins guy.
When he brought on Nelli and Yasu i got confused about roles. Especially as Jesus was still on. Smh. Overall, na Zinny cause this game sha. I waa expecting Yasu was coming to replace Zinny. Only to see White. Mtcheww How una take dey watch ball na... All of them might have played rubbish but there are bigger culprits than Havertz. That White substitution was spot on. Zaniolo was running riot on that wing. And the plan was for Martinelli to help Zinchenko defensively. The substitutions that killed that game were Jorginho and ESR. Partey should have come in while Rice move to 8. Leave Kai alone and focus on others. The guy even tried today. |

daveP: Jesus has been doing the pressing while our Aerial threat is not even looking threatening whatsoever. Trossard and Kai are lucky to have Zinny behind them right now. This got gats come from the left side. We better take our chances. That Watkins can turn a quarter chance to a full chance. I wish we get him. He's just no much of a presser 9 You and Spy na the same thing but opposite when it comes to Kai. Funny enough, Jesus was a recipient of our biggest chance. Just nod the ball for Trossard and let's score...Baba waste am. Saka nko? But na Kai Kai Kai.... Make Arteta remove Kai sef |

We are not ready. Aston Villa is a slippery team and one way to disrupt their plan is an early goal. Their game plan has been simple and straightforward but we have not been able to cope. Get that first goal in and watch them collapse. |

PDPGuy: The wing back option makes sense!
Heck a 3-5-2 formation would be effective against either Japan or Spain, especially if the front two, one of the center midfielders and both wing-backs press high up to try to limit the build up from the back Yeah... Add the fact that most of our wingers are wide forwards. The formation would love them closer to the box. |

Spy360: The question I have asked all 'no penalty' gang but have not received an answer is why would Saka after beating Neuer choose to not score but to stick his leg for a penalty? What does he want to achieve? Why would he do that? Why cheat when you have an empty net?
Put this question the other way, why would Neuer not want to foul Saka after being beaten. Did Neuer try to avoid a contact by pulling back his leg? If Saka really wanted to stay on his feet and score that goal, do you think he would have scored it? |

Deltamani: Good performance from her but she seems to have lost the Defensive Side of her game maybe because of her playing as a left Winger for Stade de Reims.. She’s very quick, and I believe she can go toe to toe with Nicole Payne, Barbara Banda, Chawinga Sisters in a Foot race..! If she can emulate the likes of Salma Bacha, Sekina Karchaoui she will become an excellent Left Back because those two knows how to combine both defending and Attacking together wether they’re playing as Wingers or Left Back, one of the reasons those two in most occasions Play together for France. Even at Lyon or PSG the Coaches sometimes pushes either of them to play as Winger..
Full Game Clip https://www.youtube.com/live/1ee4-wfnEhg?si=LGXvVKfRPnaJKM6B Right now, I don't think we have any natural FB. Nicole maybe. Maybe we should start playing them as WBs or find a suitable tactic to make up for their defensive frailties. |
