Kid has been scoring all season. Arsenal's next RVP according to close sources who has seen more of the kid. But then, he is not for Nigeria. Kid has settled for Denmark.
Boy is very good. I think he has like 20+ goals in the last 7 games or so.
Denmark? All the best for him.

Arsenal's Chido Obi-Martins has been on fire this season. He just scored 4 goals in the first half against WestHam U18s.

He has been training with the first team recently.

Replacing Desire Oparanozie will be one task that Randy won’t be able to accomplish anytime soon.. That typical type of well built No.9 Nigeria is always Known for.. Mercy Akide, Sarah Michael, Desire Oparanozie, Uchechi Sunday etc.. Like even if they don’t Score in that game they do a lot of Work with or Without the ball, we had good number of advantages having them upfront, not what we’re seeing now.. We still don’t have a number since Desire Oparanozie started blowing Off and now retired.!
Must be the reason behind Ihezuo's invitation. Could it be a coincidence that our wingers have been finding it hard to score because there has been nobody to do the odd job upfront?

Aminat Bello has a similar profile but she is young and inexperience.

Leverkusen 3241 with a highline and a high pressing within the limited space for opponents created by the highline.. How do you tactically beat that as a coach..? No wonder they are unbeaten this season
Well, I would say using 2 excellent outlets may open them up. You can also go long (aerially) to bypass their high press too.

Teams who Excel in quick combination can also open them up. Just drag them.around and disrupt their shape.

Thomas Müller on SPORTBILD:

"Raw statistics, such as goals or titles, are undoubtedly an important factor. But in the end football is more than that. The magic also lies in aesthetics and elegance.

I once read that I have more involvement in goals than Zinedine Zidane, but I wasn't fooled. Because of the magic of the game and the aesthetics of football, magicians like Messi or Zidane are a completely different category to me."

I no fit forget that thing wha she do for the finals.. She’s already pursuing a Career in Coaching the last time i saw something relating to her! Indeed she was one of the top performer at the 2014 U20 World Cup!

Many of that set don Either Quit Football or Married..

Sandra Chichi— GK
Sarah Nnodim— CB
Ugo Njoku— RB
Osarenoma Igbinovia— CDM
Loveth Ayila— W
Courtney Dike— F
Patience Okaeme— F
Indeed you remember. That goal was painful chai... She had no business touching that ball. Some speculations were flying then that the ball already crossed the line before she touched it. We would have got one over Germany because they're our bogey team. Ebere Orji's set lost the cup to them too.

Yoh… I wonder how I forget Ugo Njoku (A.K.A Magic 15)

I don’t even understand how she even had a short Career such a robust talent who grew from U17 Trinidad &Tobago, U20 Japan 2012 & Canada 2014 and to SuperFalcons 2014–2017.. She would have been our All time best Right Back..
How her career turned out to be is just so.... A very good RB then.

Loveth Ayila is another player that was exceptional in that U20 squad. Infact, I rated her ahead of Ayinde in that tourney. Maybe that Oshoala's controversial goal took a toll on her after that tourney.

Ben White: "I play against Gabriel Martinelli every day in training for example, and to be honest I don’t want to go too near to him most of the time, but at the same time we have to keep it competitive. But you know there is a line, and it’s the same for everyone. We all come up against the same people each day, and there’s like an unwritten rule that you don’t go in too hard for a 50-50 or something like that. You can save those for the weekend!"

"Every day me and Martinelli have a one v one battle, but then as soon as the session is over our relationship is so good. You do your best and give everything when you are training, but you need to look after each other too, you have to be clever." [@Arsenal] #arsenalfanaticsnews

Throwback Thursday

Reigning CAF African footballer of the year and one of the very best Strikers on the planet (Top 5), Victor Osimhen back in 2015 under Amunike's tutelage at the U17 WC against Current Real Madrid Top defender and UCL winner, Eder Militao.

This was the U17 WC Quarter Finals vs Brazil. Nigeria won 3-0.
How time flies. That 2013 and 2015 U17 eagles were more than impressive. They were the nation's prides then. It is sad how some of them end up.

Bro

Matta don end.

Raya played a goal kick
Gabriel rather wanted to retake it.

Same way a player takes a throwing and plays it to another player to take the throwing.

No need arguing.

If Kane did not see red card, i don't know what's all the fuss about retaking a goal kick.

The worst case scenario would be a yellow card for time wasting of which it wouldn't make sense since we weren't on the winning at that time.

The problem I have with Randy and most white coaches is that while they focus on our defence, they bring almost next to nothing to the attack. Local coaches on the other hand are the extreme of the opposite end. Local coaches give you the Nigerian style of football (flare/wing play/ attack/ dribbling) but against tactical teams they lose woefully due to awful defence.
We need a balance somewhere.
You made a nice point bro. I think Rohr had the same issue. If only the 'local coaches' are humble enough to work with Randy.

Now I know what the problem here is. English is the issue cause you seem not to know the meaning of the words you used.

You've used words like "we should be doing better" and "underperforming". Also quoting you verbatim you said "Super Falcons is a big brand in Africa and it is a shame to see the current state of the team.". All of the aforementioned in English language means or suggest it's in comparison to something. And from the term "current state" it means there was a "past state".

So what did I do, I pulled up the historical record of the Super Falcons devoid of sentiments or emotions and asked that you show me when the Super Falcons have had a better record in comparison to what Randy has achieved and you couldn't come up with anything. You said we were condoning mediocrity, so from the records shown highlight to us when the Super Falcons were exceptional.

Instead of you to respond to the factual data presented, you pivot and ignore the entire conversation. Like Kibbs said, you're just hating at this point and no need responding as your argument is becoming illogical.
Oh boy! Lovewin...I already told you your proofs are not substantial. You're one of the intelligent folks here so I don't know why you're not seeing the point.

There are some metrics in football that you can't attribute to a coach alone. I stand to be corrected though because we're all learning everyday. For instance,
1. Arsenal male team have the best defensive record in EPL this season. Guess who are getting the praise, the CB duos. That's why the defensive record you brought is not substantial. Nnadozie has bailed us out many times, would you attribute that to Randy.

2. Madrid have been scoring freely this season but the names on everyone's lips are Jude, Vinicus and others. Nowhere is Ancelotti mentioned.

You see why you can't justify Randy's efforts with the stats you brought because you can't eliminate the impact of individual brilliance from the stats.

Now, tell me how good were the girls in that double tie against South Africa (the matches that triggered the whole argument). Can you confidently say we would have bagged the Olympic ticket had it been we were facing a more decent side? After 3 years and the players he had, look at what they gave us as performance. All I wanted is a purposeful football, a coordinated team structure and a performance that reflects the Calibre of players we parade.

You're all here standing behind Randy's insufficiency while I'm looking at the future prospect of competing with the best legs in some month's time. It is not emotion. My criticism no dey add Kobo to my account.
