A guilty man is always afraid. Always looking over his shoulder. If the government has nothing to hide, why are they afraid of monitoring equipment? |
The only way Buhari can win 2019 election is by rigging. That's why is cabinet members are changing police commissioners up and down, threatening international observers, deploying military, handpicking INEC officials, and sacking judiciary members that aren't in their favor. It's a game of numbers. Buhari can't get any substantial votes in the South East and South South. North will be divided (maybe in favor of Buhari) by 60:40, South West will also be divided by about 50:50...only because some people still believe in Osinbanjo. |
That's why is as is broke. Came out the same time with Trevor Noah...but can't even be compared to him. |
Very helpful. Please on sending stuff like food items via cargo, can you (OR ANYONE) share more details? Can I send stuff like garri and beans? Where will I pick the stuff up? Thank you! deni83: |
maternal:Serious? Why so? I just feel going to school to spend a year is a waste of time. She could get a job in 2-3 months Toronto if she starts searching from day 1. |
Elders - Would you recommend going to school straight after landing? My friend and I land in a few weeks. She got admitted to a 1 year MSc program in Queens University, Ontario (fully funded by the school). I've been telling her that it would be better if she comes to Toronto with me to job hunt; however, she feels the program in Queens will help her get a better job next year. Or maybe she doesn't want to be around me anymore. ![]() Seriously. Abeg, waitin una feel? |

Hi. I'm preparing for the GMAT exam. Please help me critique the essay below. Thanks. The following appeared in the editorial section of a local newspaper: “In the first four years that Montoya has served as mayor of the city of San Perdito, the population has decreased and the unemployment rate has increased. Two businesses have closed for each new business that has opened. Under Varro, who served as mayor for four years before Montoya, the unemployment rate decreased and the population increased. Clearly, the residents of San Perdito would be best served if they voted Montoya out of office and reelected Varro.” Discuss how well reasoned . . . etc. In the local newspaper article, the writer states that the residents of San Perdito would be best served if they voted out Montayo, the current mayor, and reelected Varro, the city's former mayor. This conclusion is obviously flawed because it is based on hollow assumptions that require further strengthening with additional information. Firstly, the writer states that since Montayo got into office, the population of the city of Sanperdito has decreased. However, there is nothing, in the write-up, that shows the percentage decrease of the population of the the city of San Perdito. In order to convince readers, the writer should have stated the percentage decrease. This assumption is weak, because a negligible decrease in the populations-like 1 or 2 percent-is not enough reason to assume that the current mayor is not doing a good job. In addition to that, a decrease in the population is not equivalent to a decrease in a city's workforce. It is possible that as the population was shrinking, the employeable population doubled. This might be the main reason behind the increase in the unemployement rate in the city. Secondly, the writer states that two businesses have closed for each new business that has opened. Here too, the writer does not reveal the type of businesses that have closed, and the type of businesses that are opening. Merely assuming that this is bad for the city is wrong. In a situation where the new businesses that are opening are way more profitable than the businesses that are closing, San Perdito might actually be on the path to economic growth. The writer should have stated the profitability of the new businesses, and compared it with that of the old businesses. This point will only be reasonable if the writer is able to prove that the total profitability of older businesses that closed is more than the total profitability of the newer ones that just opened. Finally, the writer's reason for supporting Varro is just as flawed as his/her other points. An increase in population and decrease in unemployment rate means nothing if not supported with figures. It is possible that the population increase was less than 1 percent. This will mean that even though the population increased, it did not increase significantly. The same goes for the rate of unemployment. The writer needs to support his/her conclusion with statistical figures in order to convince readers that Varro is exactly who San Perdito residents need as mayor. |
This post just made my day. I've been laughing in the office for the past 5 minutes. People think I'm crazy now. |

I live very close to the court where Akala was arraigned. You should have seen the number of supporters that came out to hail this man. There were so many cars around that area that people found it hard to park. My conclusion, NIGERIANS ARE THE REASON WHY NIGERIA IS THE WAY IT IS, NOT POLITICIANS. Imagine the damaging impact booing this politicians will have. Imagine if they we stoned instead of hailed them. This would discourage other politicians from stealing. Instead we hail them. They walk into our court rooms smiling. Then we go home and complain about electricity, water, roads, security, etc. |
MegaMan87:Tribalism at it's height. Please stay in UK forever!!!! |
Nice article. Wish I could write like you. |
Da Doctor:Yeah I know. Note that I said they want to come and steal what is LEFT in Lagos. I know 99% of our politicians are looters. However, Fashola has done for Lagos what no other governor has done for any state in Nigeria. PDP is just being childish and silly. |
Da Doctor: The dude must be HIGH on petrol. He wants Fashola to resign so that PDP can come and steal what is left in Lagos. GOD FORBID! Fashola FOREVER!!!!! Even if the entire lagos is buried under the Atlantic. |
