I'm particularly worried about the Job experience of a thing as i do not hv any aside the NYSC scheme. I'll appreciate a detailed guide. Thanks. Has your Msc transcript been evaluated by WES? Have you done the IELTS? If you answer no to any these questions, you are not quite ready to apply for EE just yet. |

Etfash: Good evening people. Please has anyone here received his or her evaluation report from WES via Canada post? It costs $7 whereas the International courier service costs $85.
While I don't want to be wise apiece, I wouldn't like to over stretch my financial muscle IF doing that can be avoided. Thank you in anticipation. If you opt for Canada Post, its not as fast as international courier, but not as slow as our local courier over here. You'll receive it 3 weeks max |

JesusDWay: His concerns are justified actually. In my opinion, Ontario chose to make the process of their EE PNP less cumbersome by choosing all those with 400 and above to apply and has also stipulated an application fee of 1500CDN, apart from the RPRF of 490, which is highly unprecedented. Those criteria has helped eliminated lot of potential applicants. Now, the slots are limited and they may possibly shortlist those whose professions are in-demand in the province hence, his concerns. Imagine throwing away 1500dollars at the end of the day, plus the potential disadvantage applying to a PNP seems to have when you are applying to another province as some like MPNP will give you a lesser chance if you indicated you have applied to another province.
My advice is for him to check Saskatchewan's new list of occupation in-demand, he might be better suited for that and i'm almost certain they wont ask for money or at best, not like that kind of huge amount like Ontario. Guess Ontario want's to copy Australia with this money thing Oh I see. Well, in the light of those details not mentioned earlier (1500CD) Which by all reasonable standards is outrageous, compared to other provinces. I would stay keep the Ontario door open and use as a possible last resort (you have like 40 days now to make a decision on it) explore other provinces or rather exhaust them, especially those that will be opening soon (British Columbia). That's my opinion anyway. I guess Ontario is their own center of excellence over there, hence the crazy app fee. All the Best tho. |

MostBlessed: Thanks Olabokey, My current CRS is 400, and I am still contemplating applying to Ontario PNP. I believe to get PNP nominees, profiles are screened based on the available job opportunities in the provinces My concerns are; I am a Petroleum Engineer and I don't think there are lots of petroleum jobs in Ontario and I fear this will not be in my favor as I will be screened against other candidates with better suited professions
Would love to get advice from the ancestors on such a decision Please help me understand one thing. A province went through your profile in the Express Entree pool, saw you fit as a candidate and advised you to apply to their province. And you are delaying because of other candidates that you may or may not be more qualified than Guy do your part and apply.. Do you know how many people are praying for that PT you received? No let me flog you from here with koboko o! Lol Seriously though, what have you got to lose? |

MostBlessed: I just got a message on my CIC account.
The message goes like this;
Dear ........................................, The Government of Ontario is interested in considering you for nomination under its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) through Express Entry. If you want Ontario to consider you for nomination under its PNP you must contact Ontario directly after receiving this letter. Note that this letter of interest is not a guarantee that you will be nominated by Ontario. You will first have to satisfy Ontario that you meet the requirements of their program. You can find general information about each province or territory's PNP program on the CIC website. You will also find a link to Ontario's PNP requirements and contact information.
Hoping to get some guide on the next steps to take on securing the PNP What this means is that the Government of Ontario must have selected your profile from EE pool entry. What you need to do is to formally apply for the Ontario PNP. Ensure you have all the required documents you submitted when you filled your EE profile, get more details here. http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/prodconsum/groups/csc/@oipp/documents/document/oi_en_hcps.pdf After you have submitted all required documents, they will probably compare your stats with other candidates. If selected, you will be sent a letter from the Government of Ontario confirming you have been short-listed. You should then update your EE profile stating you've got a provincial nomination, then get ready for your ITA NB note that you have 45 days to apply to the province of Ontario once you receive that mail sent to you, otherwise know as PT Thats all. |

Is it possible for one to get a reference number without payment Pls my ancestors explain ASAP as I'm confused. When i saw your greeting, i smiled cos i thought you had dropped the 'my ancestors' greeting till got to the end ..lol Na, once you receive a reference code/number it means payment has been made. You'll receive two mails from WES.. One confirming your account has been created and the second(after payment has been made)informing you your order is now pending till they receive your docs |

twaintoy: Got one funny question. How can one get a job in canada from Nigeria? Same way you apply for a regular job over here.. via the company website. Few companies will state a job position is 'open to foreign nationals', And even fewer companies would want to employ a foreign national to fill a contract/temporary role. Its got to be a permanent/important position. |

lavivaavril: The whole process seems long. After going all the way, they will now peg scores at 755? That's quite disappointing. I know it's not a fixed score but are there other immigration programmes (if possible, other countries) that are less tedious? That's Canada for you.. After all we still have people who applied over a year just getting their visa May this year.. Come to think of it, i wonder if anyone who applied through EE this year has gotten their PER. But in their defence.. There are a whole lot of people applying for limited slots. |

755 was the cut off score and 1361 ITAs were issued. 755? that's deep.. Am pretty sure it's because provinces' have started sending out their own nominations (remember you get 600 points if nominated by a province).. And to think someone was hoping it will drop to 200 ..lol |

sophisticat: Hi Guys,
I applied for the EE alone because my husband was not keen on sitting for the IELTS and getting a ECA. My question is, if I eventually get ITA and PR would it be easy for him to join me later? If yes, under what program can one file for a spouse as a permanent resident? Well if you state in your application that you are married, although you applied alone. and then you go on to get your PR.. It will even be easier for your husband to come join you over there..Considering of course, all the right documents are in place. |

Julietdanny: CAN SOMEON PLEASE GIVE ME A GUIDE PLEASE....I really do need to know what to do....I just took ielts and got 6.5, and hubby can't take cos of poor educational background to add up to my points,do I reapply as single mother? Will I be refused for d score not being up to 7 ?please someone pls help before I make a mistake please. For permanent residents Under FSPW. The EE program is all about the total points you can obtain, which will qualify you to be considered.. Hence madam, you need all the points you can get... 6.5 isn't a bad score, and it's not that good either. If you can find other means of adding to your points (Provincial Nominee, getting a job over there) that'll be great, if you have the luxury of taking the test again and improving on your previous score, that'll be great as well. Now if you apply as a single mother, it might boost your score, it might be real tacky and complicated.. although am not sure if you mean you'll say your not married, but bear in mind those cic guys are smart sha For now,try and boost your points via other means.. just my two cents |

Does anyone know how long it would take to get response if my family and i are eligible and when exactly would be the estimated time of putting in permanent entry visa request? I just want to know what next after this EE form submission. I didn't send my wife's credentials to WES like mine Hope this doesn't pose any issue on the ling run Bros, If you've submitted your profile, you need to relax. You will be contacted by the CIC guys when it becomes necessary. Not sending your wife's credentials to WES won't pose any issue, but it was an opportunity to get more points..It still is. |

slimmsyyetty: Hello house......
Could anyone pls share his/her IELTS listening skill interview with the examiner. Am tensed.....youknow. Like someone pointed out, The Listening test is not done with an examiner, thats the Speaking test. For the speaking test an examiner looks out for 3 basic things. 1,Your Natural ability speak fluently. They try to picture you conversing with their citizens 2,Coherency - Your ability to answer questions accurately without digressing (basically stay on the topic being discussed or as my naija people say, no do over sabi..lol) 3, Finally, they want to test your ability to use complex words while discussing/interracting e.t.c one last thing.. just hand over everything to God.. All the best |
