Munageez: Good day everyone, I recently Applied for Permanent residency through the BC Provincial Nomination. Also, because I have a job offer, I was also given a Work permit support letter with my Nomination Certificate. I have also applied for a work permit, however, I have not done medical exam yet. I thought I was supposed to get instruction from CIC to go for medicals like they sent for Biometrics. However, I was reading through the past email from the recruiter that is on my case and I discovered that I should have done an upfront medical before submitting my online work permit application. So, I want to know if I can still go ahead and do the medical before I get instruction from CIC. I do not want my application to be delayed. It's been 3 weeks since I submitted it. Anyone who has submitted online work permit application, how did you go about it? Applying a positive and proactive approach, it will be wise to go for your medicals, but usually there should be a form provided by cic that you'll take to the hospital with you along with a means of identification and two passport photo. You can Google it to double check/verify |

40manlappy: Well done irondome. Permit me to digress a little, do you have any link showing that IELTS General is acceptable for Australian immigration?
Almost everyone keeps saying its strictly IELTS Academic.
Again, if possible, the LOI for the PNP. Thank you To submit your profile, you need the General, it's stated on the Ielts website, general for immigration while academic for those pursuing further studies |

hartson: I was making reference to NZ skilled Category not EE. Yeah I know, I was just pointing out their similarities. When you submit your profile for the skilled migration for NZ. There's a 50/ 50 chance an employer will contact people in the database. Bearing in mind there are already people working in NZ or with Job offers |

Dfavouredone: Hello, please i need advice.
I submitted an application on 29th of December 2015 online for a 476 subclass visa.
I did IELTS exams on the 9th of January 2016.
I was contacted by a CO on 2nd of March 2016 and told that my english language test result cannot be accepted because it was written AFTER the date i lodge my application, and that i should provide an English language test result that was written prior to lodging the application.
I do not have any english language result written prior to submitting the application, the only english language result i have is the one written after i submit the application.
I have reply them that i dont have any other english language result written before the date i lodge the application.
I am wondering, do i stand a chance? Can the date difference be overlooked as they haven't gotten back to me since then.
I am thinking of withdrawing the current application and applying again since the english test result i have now will then be before the application. What is your advice please? Or should I wait until IMMI make their decision before lodging another application (if their decision turns out negative).
Is there any implication of withdrawing an application and then re-applying for same class of visa again?
Sorry for the many questions in one post.
Thanks for your help. They must have asked you before you lodged your application if you have written any English test.. Did you tell them you are yet to write or that you have written a test?? When lodging your app they usually ask you to enter the date you wrote your test, so if that date defers from what is on your test report it's gonna cause some discrepancies and the result might not be good My opinion would be to withdraw and re-lodge.. But don't take my word for it.. Hopefully more experienced people can contribute Just my thoughts |

hartson: Well said brother man.I never wanted us to derail this thread with another matter.however, the discussion is still about migration.have you paid the $530 application fee after applying?their's is quite different from canada.you pay the application fee before you submit the application then enter the pool.it seems employers contact the immigration authorities for qualified applicants then send them job offers to boast their point. Yeah well but that's also what the Canadian immigration process was supposed to be like right? You register for job bank then you are supposed to get offers from employers looking for an applicant like you. But how many people can boast that they have been contacted by any employer via job bank (except maybe you are in engineering) Truth is, Na to enter am knowing you've got nothing to lose and keep applying for jobs online while hoping you get selected. But bro with your score I would have paid and waited for the a likely selection especially with your ghen ghen score |

40manlappy: A job offer is the way out for New Zealand. I got about 130 points too. How can one secure a job offer there while still resident in Nigeria?
Cc: mozo If you've got 130 points then that's pretty impressive. How the new Zealand PR works is that every two weeks a draw is held and the priority of those selected is as follows. 1. Candidates with a job offer 2.Candidates with 140 points but without a job offer 3.Candidates with over 100 points but not up to 140 A bulk of those selected are usually those with job offers or candidates that have up to 140 points. The challenge of getting a job offer is similar to a Canadian or Australian scenario. Difficult but not impossible. I have had at least 6 job offers from New Zealand, but the last communication usually ends with 'Let us know when you are in the country' . In other words some (if not most) of these employers ain't ready to sponsor your visa till they have a face to face interview with the potential employee. So you could keep applying via a company's website or through job boards but it's barely up to a 50-50 chance. But with God all things are possible |

akeenade: Please hartson, I am considering New Zealand too, How is the processing like and where does one even begin. If you don't have a job offer in new Zealand, it may be difficult to get their PR, as they give priority to people with job offers first or if can score 140 on their point test. It's a long shot but you can try |

7Alexander: thank you bellong, wouldn't going through a student visa be too tedious and expensive, considering that I will need to pay tuition if offered admission? OK, I just saw my profession listed in the CSOL list, but it further reads that I will be eligible to apply for the visa 190. Please I do not fully understand the difference between the Skilled Independent and the Skilled Nominated Visas, Bellong, I will appreciate if you will help me comprehend. Thank you for your intervention Customer service Is only on SA list but not currently open. So its either you proceed with your assessment and wait till it becomes available or choose another occupation, or as suggested by bellong, go the student route. |

alaoeri: Yes as rightly stated by oga bellong, someone here got his PR without working experience, Age - 30points B.Sc - 15points PTE - 20points. But can you skip those assessing bodies is you have 60points? Or you have to go through them? After my evaluation with vetasesses, but my occupation has not been opened any where. So I am considering another occupation. With 60points already without work experience I want to bypass any assessment if possible.. The vetassess wait was not funny |

I'm confused o Ladokites in the house, yetty, ejirostephen, And my forefathers pls help me look into the matter Awaiting your prompt response This varies depending on the institution. Some schools don't ask for anything and just do the needful. Others like mine (uniben) asked me to pay the same amount for verification which I did |

Sup Zandora, On the flip side, with each interview you are acquiring more experience in such scenarios, it's all just preparing for the one that you will land with no stress at all.. Trust me no experience is wasted.. At least you've already learnt about the resume thingy, and with each interview you are growing in confidence. No long story jare, forge ahead until you acquire your desire , and don't dwell too long on whats done.. The timing of your job will be perfect.. No forget me when you earn your first salary |

beyunce: Hello, thx for the reply. Have you acquired their services or know someone that has? Why e be error? You can say so. Initiated an application with them in April, after a WHOLE lot of phone calls my transcript was finally sent in last week in July. Basically all they do is just request for your transcript from your school. They don't pursue it with any sense of urgency. After your school is through, they'll send it to them. At the end of the day, you are still at the mercy of the your schools efficient (or in most cases inefficient) bureaucracy and protocol. It will be cheaper and more effective if you got someone from your school to help you out with that, that person might even come in handy when WES requests a verification. Just my 2 cowries |

[quote author=beyunce post=40597975]Hello everyone, I have read the entire post in fact my eyes de red. Hubby and I are planning on applying next year by God's grace, but I will like to confirm some few things. 1. regarding certificate evaluation. Hubby and I both have ond (diploma) which we both used for direct entry into the uni. Meanin we spent 3 years in the university. Will evaluating both the diploma and degree give points? Reason why I ask, the polytechnic I did my diploma is way to far from where we reside now. It will be difficult for me to go there and hustle for the transcripts which might not be something they can do in a day and I have a child. If the diploma would add more marks, I found this site online where They claim to render transcripts services https://www.etx-ng.com. Fee is 43k. I don't know how real the site is or their claims. I just wanted to be sure my diploma would add some reasonable points before I dash some site free money. Abeg any correction on my writing? I'm practicing for ielts too. Lol Thank you] I don't mean to knock their hussle, but etx na error.
But if they are your 'LAST RESORT' then go ahead. |
