zandora: PDP? Do you mean PNP? If you mean PNP, this isn't compulsory as you only need a PNP nomination if you need to bump up your score. If this is the case then you'll have to join the EE pool first before applying for a nomination. or APC..lol |

bellong: If your occupation is not on the SOL list but the states sponsoring it for 190 have reached the limit, you will have to check if they are sponsoring it on 489.
Some states don't sponsor some occupations for 190 but they do sponsor it for 489. You can check the states offering sponsorship for 489 for the said occupation.
I hope you can get to see a state that will open it for sponsorship on 190. In my opinion, 489 is a rip off as you end up spending the same amount of money and energy in getting a 190 to get a 489 but with limited rights. Thanks man |

@NNBB and @bellong pls kindly clear my doubts (and that of some silent readers am sure)
If my occupation is not on the SOL list but on the CSOL list, and it is being sponsored by 2 states and both states have reached the limit for that particular occupation. With a total point of 65, does that leave 489 as the only available option? |
Travel › Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by mozo: 7:49am On Aug 14, 2015 |
izykvision0: There is no relationship between 189,190 and 489. They are independent of one another. 489 is used by the govt. to lure people who cant meet up with the requirements for 189 or 190 to regional Australia, so as to develop the regions; and of course its a temporary visa, which u can switch to perm. when there in due time. It's more lucid now, thanks |

izykvision0: Why did u assess for a qualification that reads 'special conditions apply'? Did you study in SA or worked/ currently working in SA? Did you click on 'special conditions apply' link to see the conditions spelt out for the nominated occupation, before heading to VETASSESS? Or is there any other state sponsoring your nominated occupation? Do u qualify for 189? Thanks for the response. My nominated occupation was on medium availability as at the time I sent my docs to VETASSESS. I just checked is 3 days back it was now on 'special conditions apply' the only other state that has that occupation is ACT. But they have not updated their site (it will be updated later this month) I checked out the special conditions for SA,and it points to being eligible for a 489 (by the way my point is 65 without state sponsorship) |

Jetspeed: Guess 489 is available for 189 only. Not sure I get you, but from what I understand, for. State nom. (SA to be precise) if your occupation slot is filled, you go the 489 route depending on your total points.. So its not available for 189 only. Someone correct me if am wrong. |

izykvision0: Ok. SA uses like max 3weeks to nominate. So for Feb. ure fine. But you shld be praying that by the time VETASSESS comes back in Nov. the slut is still open for Economist even if it reads LOW. SA availability changes quickly. Is it possible that an occupation status with no or low availability later on can change to medium or high availability? |
Travel › Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by mozo: 3:20pm On Aug 13, 2015 |
izykvision0: It means apply NOW, there are few spaces left. It can change to 'not available' in 1 hr, 24hrs, 3days or even a week.
No availability means its filled up with applications, Thank you. I just submitted my application to Vetassess last week. And I will have to wait for my + assessment. My nominated occupation in SA currently reads 'special conditions apply' or in other words it's filled up . which means I'll have to go the 489 route rather than the 190 |

zandora: I also applied in May ie May 08 to be precise from outside Canada - FSW. Apparently they're now on May 02 so we should hear from them end of the month or early September. Goodluck! Went through a forum, noticed there are a lot of people in the same boat as you bro. But its worth the wait |

It looks like its a slow process (or killing wait) so I was just wondering what the timeline of any Nigerians look like. It is still a slow process for majority of the applicants unfortunately. I know people who submitted since April. Patience is key |

Quick one guys, if your nominated occupation for a state sponsorship like in SA is in low or especially no availability, do you still go ahead with applying for a 190 or just apply for a 489 .. Oshey for the feed back |

Afam4eva: That could be because there is not definite threshold that qualifies one. A lot is still based on speculation. Yeah maybe, but logically. Every draw should have a lower score than the previous cut off, except like Jesusway said, lots of people are nominated by provinces. And also putting in to account that people are constantly improving on their previous score. This is just July, as lo ng as the caps have not been met and you have attained your possible max score, and draws are still being held, just believe. |

I'm saying this to everyone... u can't force pple to do ur work...ur job is to read and ask specific questions for better understanding. You hail only those who spoon-feed others.... those u are asking read all u want them to tell u.
Sounding guilty...do I owe anyone here?...u too can read and help others...I'm yet to see ur help. What I did when I was newbie seeking answers.. I would simply trace the thread to the beginning of either this year or last year (page 232 of part one till the last page).. Scheming through comments till I came across relevant info that applied to my situation.. Seriously tho, there are certain questions we wouldn't expect people to ask. That said, we should just put it effort and make at least basic research, then ask for clarification where necessary.. Although tempers are high everyone should take a chill pill |

constantchanges: Even with relations, not much is assured in abroad. Someone without a relation can still travel and God will bring helpers, dont allow fear of uncertainty kill your dream.
I will advice anyone that want to do MPNP to do so, follow your heart, but you do it leagally ...God will see you through. But you leave with enough money, do your researches and book a hotel ahead for like 2 to 3 weeks before the hotel expires, you will get an accommodation .People have gone this route and made it, I have personally taken such risk before twice to an unknown place without any relation, have enough money, you will only suffer for a while., make good friends, before you know it, you too will be someone people will be looking forward to in abroad to invite them.Going abroad is NOT a rocket science please. But dont do anything incriminating. For the bolded part.. At some point, you'll have to draw the line between being realistic and being overly religious/sentimental.. Rules are rules. Whoever is qualified for the MPNP, by all means, please do apply, I'll even say a prayer for you. Better my fellow Nigerian than another indian taking up our slots..lol (you should check out how many applications they make per province. lol) And yeah, God will see us through. |

SlowlybtSurely: Thanks a lot. Can one run both EE and PNP simultaneously? Which Province is relatively easier to get nominated? You can easily do your self the favour go check out the requirement each province has inplace so you will then be in a better position to select what province you are eligible to apply to.. Seriously, just do your our own little research and then ask for clarification regarding your findings. By the way, if you don't have any relative in Manitoba or any connection at all (except by some divine means you get a job offer) don't bother with their PNP |

Virgokobi: 17.07.15 - ITA received.
Hello all. My wife just received our ITA as dated above. The challenge now is the POF. I have a paid job but my account balance cannot be used to apply for PR. The good news is that we have funds available from family members (1.5million) and my wife has a land in her name with C of O valued over 3 million.
Also we have cars worth about 2 million and other house hold items.
Can the pros kindly advice how we can show proof of funds with all of this. I believe another language they used was that the money should be 'accessible' . so the items you mentioned won't cut it except they are in your account. |

Thanks for that, I hope this month too Don't worry, before month end. |

zandora: You've been mistaken. After you receive an ITA your have 2 months to gather all documents and apply. After you've submitted your application you'll receive a decision in less than 6 months. As I submitted May 08 I have until October to receive a final decision. Up next should be Meds(that's if you haven't already done it), if not your PR, but I doubt you'll have to wait till October. I predict this month or next. *winks* |

L = 9.0 R = 8.0 S = 8.0 W = 6.5 Overall = 8.0 so I dont need to retake the IELTS Nice score tho.. How many years of work experience do you have? And also try and do your wife's evaluation to get hold of any point up for grabs. |

It's just something they might ask. You can withdraw your 25% and add to your personal account. And still include your pension account (which I think will show you have access to funds in future) As usual, my two kobo. |

The post you are referring to seems to be encouraging irregularities and it may backfire upon close scrutiny Please do not go that route Moreover remove the post as It gives a bad impression I beg to differ on your assumption in the context of what I said. It's a race against time, and what I said is legal, choose to take from it what you will. In summary, my input simply says sell something and provide proof.. Considering the limited time frame, it won't be a bad idea to have the money in the account and have an explanation how it got there which you can prove. Kindly point out the irregularities in that? If you didn't understand, you could have just asked for more clarity. Funny thing is the Person who asked understood what I meant. I would not advise anyone to do anything that will hinder their chances. I believe we are all grown up and know right from wrong. Adieos |

Shayo5: hi,
not sure how to break it down, but I did my medicals earlier this month sent POF about 2 weeks ago, got a mail from accra yesterday bout needing more POF, that's y I asked if I could use SOA for my pension account. My two cents is, if you can get someone to transfer the required amount to your account to suffice for your 'family of three'. Then tell them you just sold probably a land or car, (obviously you will provide a receipt or some sort of evidence of the transaction). It would great if you really do have something of similar value that you can sell to make up the amount they want to see and 'provide proof' of transaction. Just a heads up, for a single applicant the required amount is around $11,898 (about 2 million, depending on the exchange rate these days) with this you can do the math on how much they will like to see in your account for a family of three.. The clock is ticking.. All the best. |
