Burningflamz: @ denial applicants,if you fail,look closely and seek the reason why.Cos you have power if you only try.
I have being denied twice but I tell myself I would be in canada this year weather my village people like it or not.infact,I assisted 3 of my friends last year fall,while they got it,I was denied.
So,my advise is,get over it even though it hurts so much.try again and address the reasons you got bounced it initially in the new application form and in your SOP.

kelly4top: @ALL, CDHC PROCESSED A LOT OF APPLICATIONS TODAY ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT SUBMITTED AROUND SEPT. OCTOBER, NOVEMBER AND FEW DEC. SO PLS TRACK YOUR STATUS NOW AND GIVE US THE GOOD NEWS.

If true, this is a welcome development, we just need to know how legit it is. @mercy and co that submitted pls track and provide feed back. All the best guys

dommakavelli: As CDHC no gree reply to email, U of R self dey do their own.
They refused to update my online application status since last year and am worried, cos I don't know if they received the package or not.

There's always someone you can send an email to or call to verify that for you, either your prospective department or the admissions office

kayce43: Just got this info from my agency, that those who have a new start date of Sept 2013 dat submitted last year (2012) but cldnt meet up with January start date r already bin advised to withdraw dia application that its too early to have dia files @ d embassy for processing, unfortunately they have to pay dia processing fee all over again but if they have done medicals it will still be valid as @ wen they apply so they need not worry abt medicals anymore, dia visas will be granted cus medicals is valid for one year...CDHC sha!!! Tot this wasn't true until some1 I knw experienced it yestiday, he has even done medicals n interview sef which is rare (dats interview).... In all these tins it is well ooo!!!

Am just wondering if this only applies to those that submitted Last year or does it include fresh applications?

That's over 6wks now and I'm yet to get any response from the embassy. I wuldn't knw if I'm being too impatient. I just dn't wanna sit back if ther's somfin I can do to knw my application status. Siga: ...@ debosky answered ur questions wella....Co-op is very much counted as Canadian Work experience...you can even be retained at ur Co-op if they like you...so, I will advise if u get one....be very nice....also...financially, its good....u can secure work permit through the job if they find u very good...they will go through HRSDC to get u a valid permit and u can pretty much use it to apply for ur PR....

Siga: ...Not necessarily Ashawo....Male tenants can be wahala bro...boys dont clean, they are involved with gangs and drugs...they fight landlords cos they dont wanna pay...and here...u cant kick anyone out....u fail to pay, the landlord gives u letter to leave and if u refused, he has to take u to court which make take over 6months and u stay in the house rent free....so, the wahala is way too much....u see now

Siga: ...both can be done....there are alot of people that dont know anyone here....so, u can go that route....also, go on the school site....most schools now have list of landlords...and u can get in touch with one....have him hold the place for u and use the correspondence ....then let CDHC know u wanna see the place before paying and that the landlord agreed....

I remember when I call one landlord like that, the guy say na only female tenants im dey find.. Ashawo

TRV_IJN: I would advise you not to complicate your issues. even me who isn't a CDHC staff find the story phoney because you were consistent with your acceptance letter when filling the form (my own thoughts). when you get to Canada you can apply to extend your stay.
i advise you to be 100% truthful.

Although I would go with this, but Just ensure you have a letter from the school acknowledging they were at fault, just in case

Submitting my application next month, hope say I no go dey hear all this long story. but I just feel if it takes this long especially with regards to mercy's case, it can only come out positive.. Just a thought

Noswaa: @mozo,6m in your sponsors account is not that bad,the most important thing is the way you present your case,even if your for 4 years course does not mean all the money for the 4 years will be in your account,they may like to know the source of the money so as to be convinced that he is capable to sponsor you,if you have more than 6m, please don't hesitate to add it but if not go ahead with your application. Confirm again, d 16165cad is also high for tuition alone(except for flight school) for a year. Is it tuition and living expense and other fees? I
know sum schools pay up to 12kcad but I've nt heard of 16kcad.

Avg living expense for schools in Canny is between 10k to 12k.

Min proof of financial requirement for a year course is ;
=Tuition(for a year) + living expenses (10kcad to 12kccad) + transport (N500k)
D 500k will take care of flight, local trans and miscelleneous. This calc is for self sponsors going for a year course. If u are sponsored, its the above + money for dependants. Very likely a double of the above calc. The source of funds shld also tally should also be clearly shown. You cannot be earning 200k pa and have an acnt statement of N5M. It shows source of money in the account is nt accounted for.



I have not been able to know the financial requirement for a 2 year course. Frm their guideline form, they said proof of funds for one year (tuition , living expense and transport) + source of funds for the remaining duration.
6million PA earning for a sponsor is impressive, but your sponsor should try and increse his closing balance.

Sorry that tuition is for 2years,for a year its $16195, what about if the closing balance is like 2.5.. Thanks for the response @mercy, its appreciated
