Most bank did well last year due to devaluation of the naira or FX..But this year nothing as such...So the different should be clear.my opinion

I doubt if that would affect all. Some might still record improvements. Diamond bank for instance recorded a 3% growth in Profit despite the FX issue.

Fidelity bank did extremely well this time last year, just as fcmb. As we await their H1 2017 result, what are ur expectations. Would they do well or would their result be like that of fcmb. In other words should one sell or hold until the result shows up.

Moving on....based on the projected year end result of Dangote salt and Sugar, which I pressume to be above N2.00

Investors may be looking at end of year dividend above N1.00(Interim inclusive) for both stocks. If we have to place a fair price based on future earnings and growth opportunities of both companies we are looking at N20-N22 in comparison to earnings of stocks like Flourmills & UACN, Unilever.

Nascon is diversifying into edible oil, seasoning etc, while Dangote Sugar is making significant investment in its backward integration programme (BIP) should yield better returns in the years ahead.

Pls do your DD. I do not own any of the above stocks. Invest wisely

Would it be that easy for those in the bus to alight? This is one of those instances where you appreciate wale and oando. He would have come up with some touching story to calm the dumping, I dont see that coming from the Baloguns. They will just be silent and watch things take their course.

Hmm. From posts so far, I am beginning to think that alot of persons suffered from that insider information.( I dont blame any one for doing so, information is key and getting it before hand makes alot of difference.) So unfortunate but we must move on. Dwelling on what has happened will not change anything unless we make plans for a remedy. My question therefore is this 'whats the way for those still in that bus'. Gurus in the house over to u.

Dang Sugar would make sense long term, considering their Q2. + Dividend. I was not aware their qualification date still open.

I have been trying to make out an excuse for fcmb vis a vis diamond bank. But its not been easy. Diamond bank made 9billion profit after tax, while fcmb made 3billion the difference is just too clear. In fact, I have changed my mind about entering fcmb by september. I will only enter if I see a good result.

But the eps is not confusing at all 285k 132% increase. Its hard to have anything against this co.

So happy I was able to sell to sell my FCMB today at a good price. Till September as oga Loco talk. I actually expect their result to be like that of FBNH,and the usual panic sellers.
