cheesy You are playing, the stock that will pay dividend of 25kobo?
To be sincere, FCMB has the capacity to pay even 50kobo, the problem is that most of these companies have the ppl making the payments as CEOs, MDs, EDs etc so they just retain all the earnings and pay it to themselves in the form of allowances, contracts and procurement. At the end of the day company running cost and expenditures just keeps sky rocketing.

If you are in GTB, just be careful. their result will be powerful but I doubt if their dividend yield would be good enough to sustain their current price. If a stock doesn't give as much as 18% dividend yield, investors will sell and go to TBills, and wait till next year. Investments that return less than the inflation rate is a loss. When I said Zenith Bank result was Poor some ppl nearly lynched me, now you see the price, 14.46. NSE has no place for long term, its chop and carry. Since the days of Oceanic, intercontinental and other manipulated and scraped banks, I came to that conclusion. Anything affects price and stocks can fall 1000% in less than 2 months. Government can even, just because they do not like your face, delist or scrap or takeover your company without even caring what effect it has on investors.

lol. somebody just bought some units of zenith bank at 14.69, and FCMB at 1.21. I have now come to realize that the best time for purchase is after result is declared, cos it will still fall after the results

Best choice for now...Too and so many uncertainties around every CBN policy cool
CBN dollar policy is not sustainable. $600,000 a week? Nigeria cannot afford that. We need to face reality unless we start exporting, naira will continue to fall. I believe it will return to 520 in two weeks

Entry = 1%.
Exit = 1%
Entry into NEXT stock = 1%.
TOTAL = 3% ON CAPITAL.

All the above 1% is NOT on GAIN but on ENTIRE CAPITAL..... grin
I entered FCMB at average 1.27. exited 1.3. That is like 2.5% gain. If I decide to enter now it means my portfolio rises by 3%. I am not sure but I think morgan charges 1% both entry and exit.

May not find the offers there tomorrow ..If Zenith does not react to the mkt positively with the dividend , then how much dividend gtb wan pay for mkt to react

Nse juju
I said it earlier, gtb might not be able to pay as much dividend to justify its current price, although it will definitely tender an excellent result.
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 12:26pm On Feb 27, 2017
I think the result from zenith is only fair(wait until you see gtb result)I also think the returns from dividend is poor and this is even clear from the markets reaction. Note that before the result came in, the share prise was 15.22. well its now 14.80 and still falling. This is not what pple expected.

Have they paid such an amount before?If they refuse to pay you,will you sue them?We should learn how to appreciate little things then the giver will give more.How much did NB paid yet the share price is bubbling?
Last year they paid 1.55 when their share price was 12. Bros. hope this is not what FCMB plans on doing, because if they do same ehhhh... anyway I done already escape.

Interim dividend paid - 25 k
Final dividend per share proposed -177 k

Proposed dividend per share - 202 k
Poor. 1.77 dividend when the inflation rate is 18.7... UCAP did better. that is about 11% return on dividend

ABUJA (Reuters) - Nigeria's oil production has risen to 2.2 million barrels a day (bpd), Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun said on Thursday, after a fall in attacks on oil facilities in the Niger Delta.

"We now do 2.2 million bpd production," Adeosun said.
Don't mind that woman she keeps giving wrong infor. She did same last year and the Min of state Petroleum kachukwu had to come back with the right info. But the minister of state petroleum himself confirmed that it had risen to 2m and would get to 2.2 when forcados returns. http://leadership.ng/business/572269/nigerias-oil-production-rises-to-2mbp-kachikwu Mind you forcados returns in june.

Manonamission:
Y'all shouldn't look at this in isolation. Crude production hit about 2.2m this February and with sustained average crude price above $55 per barrel. It is easy to figure out how external reserve has been rising steadily and what the muscle-flexing by the CBN is all about. If production and prices can be sustained, the CBN will be able to defend the naira longer than you can imagine. But we all know it doesn't take long before the creek boys do their thing. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that doesn't happen but instead production increases. Forcados is still down. As for FDIs, them go come........stability and some level of clarity/certainty will attract them. Was Naira floated before they left?
Who told you production has hit 2.2mil. Its still less than 1.8m and the hope is that forcados comes back by end of 2nd qrt to raise it to that level.

Also understand that, dollar will be sold for 375 for school fees and PTA. This will surely reduce demands from the black market. I,m not sure it is the right time to buy,. I see it in the lower 400 in the coming weeks
375 ke. That one is on paper. Watch and see if the banks will ever sell to you.

If you understand the recent CBN policy,you will run and sell your dollars now........Visits proshare and Nairametrics to get more breakdown of the policy.Banks are back to business......Business marchants are not left out too,travelling and payment of school fees at ease as banks provide the services at good rates.
Bureau de change,Aboki's,peterichy and Godisfaithful who are eyeing 600 naira to a dollar are the main loosers.
lol, my broda this thing happened to me last year and I sold all my dollars when nairametrics told us then that the devaluation of that time would ensure that the naira remains stable. Two weeks after I sold, the thing started losing again so much that I bought back at a higher rate than I sold.

This is the time to buy. It will certainly go up. The recent CBN intervention and the gain by the naira is normal.

There is something wrong somewhere.ucap refused to go down months before this result.it declares good result sp is still falling.nse is encouraging cooking of acc.if a coy post goodresult no effect,bad result down.wont it be better to just post the result anyway.
I also think that UCAP may not be able to equal this released result in 2017 since some extraordinary events including sales, brought about this good result. Those events may not repeat this year, and assuch earning may fall together with price. Also note that Elumelu's companies do not maintain good results consistently.

Eterna oil can very easily beat then. Zenith,fcmb and access also, and even the sleeping elephant(ie if they want to). But it would be almost impossible for Gtb to even give 10%.
