Reminds me of COP deal. Everyonesaid it woud lead oando to N100. But as soon as it was approved the stock started a free fall of the year.

Dear Zenith, you went below N10 last year and I did not take advantage. Even though you have had a good result, I still believe you can do it again. So come down to N9 let me end. That is all I ask.

Please house, I need to make a clarification. I submitted my form for this coming Wednesday bid and Firstbank debited the amount immediately. Is that how it ought to be?. I thought it is after CBN releases the rate on Wednesday that it should happen.
Thats how first bank does. They debit ahead of auction and if your bid fails they return your money.

Thanks for this great info...I just saw my stockbroker's name (not Morgan) on the list and they never told me they were suspended that was why they couldn't trade...

The question now is, how soon will the suspension be lifted?
Are you trying tosay its not just morgan capital? Whats the name of your stockbroker.

PLease feelamong, can you recommend to me which licensed Discount house/financial institutions apart from commercial banks i can conveniently use for the purchase of TBills. Commercial banks shakara are getting too much
If you are bidding with discount houses, just be careful. They are largely unregulated compared to banks. They also fold up easily and quickly before you even know, and when this happens, tracking or retrieving your money becomes almost impossible. Equator Capital Securities is an example. See Morgan Capital for instance, the have a problem with NSE(among others) and for that reason no one can even withdraw cash with them even those kept for other investments. I prefer the comercial banks for reasons of security of investment, atleast CBN easily comes in when they are in trouble, thereby giving you enough time to withdraw.

This is very serious. Come to think of it, most firms that had been suspended in time past still had customer access to monies deposited. This one is quite strange, they just locked up customers money.

What happened to Equator Capital? I have stocks there.
Equator capital has since folded up. They don't even have a functional office anymore. Some pple who invested in their fixed income and forex investment cannot even locate the owners of the company. Some have obtained judgments in court but cannot execute because the company has no asset, only liabilities. I have a frd who lost N18,000,000 in that firm, he has been adviced not to even go to court as there is no company to be sued.

My only. prayer is that morgan capital does not go the way of Equator Capital securities which went from SEC suspension to oblivion with investors fund traped.

Please who has any idea on the time frame it might take to move a portfolio from one broker to another? Thanks

Your own better, na only stock. Some pple have huge sums with morgan, na them I pity pass. Reminds me of how one wonder bank I put my money in folded up with my money in 2013. They first told us its a minor issue with SEC that would be resolved in 7days. 7days became two weeks, then 1yr until I realized there was no hope anymore. It takes a long time of default for a stock broker to be suspended and a longer time for the suspension to be lifted.

I bided for 17.05 for 364 yesterday,is it a good deal or bad and when are they going to debit my account
In my own opinion, your bid wll surely go through as long there is the 364days tbills. But I do not think its the best rate, I thing 18% would have been better and will succeed. Just my opinion though.

Some of us in oando and using morgan capital just have to sit and watch our money burn. Chai morgan but why is it that you often have problems at times like this.

I once resigned from a job not long after a boss used bad language on me. It is shocking to think that you have read Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad and you still not know that you are a slave in the hand of that proprietress and need to quit that job and use your time and brain to do something more respectful.
How do you stay at a job in which you are daily subjected to inhuman and degrading treatments and expect to have high self worth and become successful.

My advice to you is to look for money to go into business with and leave that job, in case you are afraid of not getting another job. If you don't have money for business, then resign, and go looking for another teaching job. The fact that you got that job out of 50 who sat for the test, should tell you that you are good enough to get another one if you leave that one.

Don't accept anyone treating you like poo for the sake of money.
Each time I hear pple say quit your job and start a business I just wonder whether they themselves are into business. For goodness skake, the nigerian environment does not support business. Only a few are doing well. The young man is just a teacher what kind of business can he afford to do.

Guys beware of the advice you get from all these investment sites/blogs. Most of them are as 'ignorant' as we are. I'm just weeping right now at gains I missed having sold my little dollars for N446 following an advice I took from a report on Nairametrics.com that the naira gain would be the longest in recent times. The naira gain did not even last and it now sells for N465 per dollarjus few days after I sold atN446..

Stocks are falling because Foreign investors can never be impressed by the results we have seen so far, not even Zenith, Gtb or UBA's result. The reason is simple, when you convert their PBT and PAT into dollars, you realize that they have actually performed worse than the previous year. Thats why their prices keep falling despite their 'seemingly good results'. Foreign investors see in terms of dollars. Dollars was officially N198 each last year, now its N385. If you put all that into consideration, it means a company like FBNH made more yhan 50% less than last year.

Think morgan should hav alternative manual platform for execution of trade should the itrade goes down.they dont even reply correspondence let alone execution of trade!na wa o
I am begining to doubt the safety of my investment with morgan capital. It doesn't seem to be just about itrade, the company as a whole seems to be down. No response to emails, they don't pick calls, they hardly credit ones stock account after lodgement in bank, they hardly credit ones account with proceeds of sale etc there is certainly fire on the mountain.
