The thing is, some people don't want the BE price to increase. And it's ok.

I know someone who have a BE price of #8 on UBA but refused to sell at #33 becos he doesn't want the BE to increase when he buys back.
All these things we are seeing now will pass, in my own opinion.
Somehow the banks and CBN will find a way to raise the price to the level they need in order to increase their capital to CBN recommendation.

Great milestone for SEPLAT. I expect it to be on full bid but what do I know... wink

https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/SEPLAT_-_Commissioning_of_ANOH_Gas_Processing_Plant.pdf
They allowed seplat go on full offer for a long period of time, then came back to clear all the offer before making this news public.
Them dey craze for head. Some pple done already sell all their holdings.

Seplat has not paid dividends yet.
Full year 2023 dividend and special dividend will be paid May 29,
Q1 2024 dividend will be paid on june 14.

Maybe you had outstanding dividends that just came in.

Or them dey compensate you for today's 10% loss. I go just dey monitor my phone whether them go also pay me. Lol

The bulk of that cost is gulped by security wink

MD
I misinterpreted your point. You're very correct✅
Production cost in Nigeria is actually $48 per barrel. And sell at $70.
After cost of shipment, what is left for the company is just peanuts. I just wonder how these oil companies make profit. Little wonder the international oil companies are devesting.

Mind you some countries spend as low as $2 production cost per barrel.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m):
KarlTom:
At USD/NGN of 1000, he might not be too far away in his estimation.

16k bpd will give 480k barrels every month.
If crude hovers around 70USD pb, that's at least USD34m per month or USD400m per year.

However there are very many deductions which could be as much as 35% of this total (royalties, non-working interest etc) ... sad

Also note that OML 60-63 are already churning out liquid gold wink
(The attached is before the computation of OML 13 output)
You forget that production cost per barrel of crude oil in Nigeria remains one of the highest in the world at about 40$ per barrel.

I have also asked those who should know and the feedback I've gotten is that they have recorded more fraud cases with access bank than any other bank.

None of them have any idea why it happens. Just means there's a vulnerability with access bank that scammers exploit.
No need bad mouthing any bank here. All of them are the same. If the so called "those who should know" that gave you the feed back are not CBN fraud monitoring unit, then its best you treat the info as unreliable.
Access bank is one of the largest in the country and has almost the highest customer base, so you would think theirs is the worse.
Proportionately, they are all the same.
Truth be told, most fraud cases these days have some fault of customes, though not all.
Someone calls you claiming to be your customer care agent and you immediately give out all your banking details and pin. Then you blame the bank when your account is cleared.
Or your phone gets lost, you do not immediately block your sim until your account is cleared.
Those guys that hack phones only need your sim card. No matter your bank.
These things happen to all banks so thise banks with more customers will definitely record more cases.

Looks like money no too dey. Or people are risk averse and would settle for bonds instead of stocks. Or people are worried of the economy. Or investors want to be sure numbers are steadily improving and not one-off good results trap.

I think the CBN needs to thread slowly with this recapitalization while the government creates more conducive environment for businesses that exploit comparative advantages like oil palm, rice growing, gas production and distribution, power generation and distribution etc.
But Access and UBA got more attention despite the economy and despite the factvthat they had far less profit.

NASCON on full offer

Crazy Market
Thats cos sugar is way way cheaper than salt at the moment. Once sugar comes to salt price region, things would start looking different.

Pick ke..Na to they maintain the current diabetes level jeje...
Lol.

On Another Note:
I just watched the video of the sugar Agm on youtube. And i think patience is the key. Dangote says he disagrees with SEC on the Rice issue. It appears SEC wants the Mills to start production before it can approve . He also said the jigawa mill will soon be commissioned any time from now and that they will represent their documents to SEC. He said the jigawa mill is 5time the lagos mill and they should produce up to 30% of national processing capacity.
So it appears Rice would be part of the second presentation to SEC.
Dangote did not spend much time on it.

Some insiders saw this result since yesterday and it looks more like it has been factored into the share price already.......quite a large volume was picked up today again...
Not expecting much more deviation from CP again......all things being equal.
From another info, the likelyhood that the merger talk will resume is there with the new SEC team.
We see how things goes as time goes on....
I'm not an advocate of selling at loss except for personal reasons.....and, if the person picked much more lower.
It's well with us during this trying period.
The things is, volume of yesrerday and today suggests something very good to come but fear no gree person pick some additional units

Seems to be the reason for the sudden movement...
Nascon did not perform well either.
This regime and their economic team ehhh. Their emphasis is on raising government revenue while companies and the masses suffer.
