So you want them to hoard it?
E never near 1bn yet o
Never even near the 500milion on top...
It's new listing and there must be a certain % of free float to release to the public
Lol. If na me, na 100k a day I go dey release for the next two years.

Btw, it appears the bid/offer column of transcorp power on Morgan capital is not correct. Its not moving despite all the trades.
Pls do you have access to the actual number of bids on transcorp power?

Yesterday: Just 40m
Today: 57m+ so far....
I think Tony is a generous and changed man....... disappointing all those castigating him.. smiley

The way its being brought out, its possible the thing go dey available before 500.

40million yesterday, 60million within 1hr 30mins of trading already today.

How do they tackle losses from devaluation...?
Its almost a regular feature of coys with such exposure...
DSR.. MTN ..Airtel...Total . Nestle etc etc...
Its getting scary...
Thats what investors want to see from q1 result before taking a decision to enter or not.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 10:08am On Mar 05, 2024
I think mtn is waiting for q1 2024 to decide what way to move.

I don't think it maybe that straight. Geregu has 2.5 billion os and transcorp is 7.5 billion. And geregu has little floating. I don't think Tony can control the float of transcorp like ote.We wait to see shareholders structure of TPP
Geregu free float is more than that of transcorp power t the moment

It is absurd for an intelligent investor to buy a stock for N900 to N1000(the current earning per share is not even up to N50).

'Intelligent Investor and 'Security Analysis ' by Benjamin Graham is compulsory read for any serious investor .
NSE has nothing to do with intelligence.

EPS of N218, from 80 million outstanding shares. Now it is about 7 billion or thereabout
based on their posted PAT, their current eps could be less than 7 naira.

Note also that Elumelu sabi separate
Eps attributable to owners of the company and eps attributable to noncontrolling members.

But its the power sector, and with geregu as competitor, eps would not have much relationship with price.

Tactically, they are not bringing Elumelu to address the investing public.
Mr Peter Ikenga CEO Transcorp Power Plc will do the address.

am planning on jumping on trans power too.. but i’m just worried it might go up…before its even listed.. if it goes up more than N300 am not buying till it drops
Lol. When you look at the shareholding structure, you begin to wonder who amongst those owners would sell.
Transcorp power is already fully allotted. This is not a public offer but a listing.
Lets watch and see how things go.

Una dey play with Cowboys
Cowboys everywhere. It just takes me to a news item I ready this morning.

Before its commissioning, The owners of the new power plant in Abia state wrote the new state government informing them that the state through the immediate past regime, purchased some stake(shares) in the new plant.

That letter was never made public, only for the new Governor himself and the same owners of the power plant to come out upon commissioning to claim that the state has no stake/share in the plant.

They want to "shift" the abia people's stake in the new plant and move it to private hands.

Little wonder Kiyosaki never advocates share investment except you want to buy controlling interest.
If you no dey in control, sorry is your name.

I see Transcorp plc owning at least a little bit above 40% of the total shares of Transcorp Power. Both company stocks will crash significantly in the coming weeks but I see them quickly recovering. Transcorp power surely will be the darling of investors.
Transcorp power won't crash.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 7:34am On Mar 02, 2024
NSE hmmm. I remember when the biard of transcorp met and decided on this action. They promised to relay the outcome of their meeting to investors after the said meeting, but never did.
They allowed speculations drive up prices. As it stands today we no know where we dey as transcorp shareholders.
Nigerian companies, They just keep playing their shareholders.
Elumelu might just be doing the exact thing Otedola did at FO when he simply removed the power segment for himself and sold the rest with the shareholders.

Any info on the outcome of the meeting?
I doubt if Nascon announced any date for Board meeting. Their only notification on Audited result was that it would be release within 60 days from 2023 year end. That info came since December

Seplat is more about capital appreciation than dividends
The ANOH gas project and the Exonnmobil asset purchase are the major reasons for the capital appreciation.
Gas project is ready for commissioning but the asset purchase is still awaiting FG approval.

Gas project is expected to double their earnings, while the asset purchase when approved should multiply the blessings.

NGX has eroded value yes
But that zenith will sell at N80, will they pay N8 dividend? This market is dividend-driven
With the whole fx gains and constant devaluation, they ought to pay that much. But the CBN won't have any of that. But we expect improved dividend payout this season.

Hello house. Do companies pay dividend twice a year based on this information? Kindly explain please
Yes, some do. Some even pay 4times a year.
One is called Final dividend and paid at the release of year end result, while the rest may be interim dividends. There is also that which is called special dividend.

I expect a rise after the AFS is released... grin
But fx losses for nigerian companies will continue even in q1 2024 due to continuous devaluation of the Naira.
So its really hard to say what happens after AFS. But I expect them to be consistent in dividend payout.
