15. You will cease playing American football. There is only one kind of proper football; you call it soccer. Those of you brave enough will, in time, be allowed to play rugby (which has some similarities to American football, but does not involve stopping for a rest every twenty seconds or wearing full kevlar body armour like a bunch of nancies). Don't try Rugby -- the South Africans and Kiwis will thrash you, like they regularly thrash us. 16. Further, you will stop playing baseball. It is not reasonable to host an event called the World Series for a game which is not played outside of America. Since only 2.1% of you are aware that there is a world beyond your borders, your error is understandable. You will learn cricket, and we will let you face the South Africans first in their country. The seven out of ten who don't own a passport will need to get one first. @ Sean 21 The little story that you posted mentioned South Africa on point 15 and 16. Had the name South Africa not appeared I would've not commented on this piece of gabbage that I don't actually understand whether it was mean't to be a joke or what |
@ sean 21 When I say us, I mean South Africa. I'm South African, everbody in Nairaland knows that I'm South African. What you see is what get negro!!!! ![]() |
@ A K O Isn't foreign affairs part of politics. get your facts straight you slowpoke or get a life!!! ![]() |
Its official, the 96 years liberation movement have split, as those who were unhappy with the firing of Pres Mbeki forms their own party. The day the ANC split ![]() MATTEW BURBIDGE AND AGENCIES | JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - Oct 08 2008 09:54 Former defence minister, Mosiuoa Lekota said on Wednesday he was forming a new political party. Speaking at Talk Radio 702 in Sandton, Johannesburg, Lekota said “This is probably the parting of the ways” [with the ANC]. “I hope sense will prevail , if not, there’s no going back,” he said in announcing that a “convention, or congress” would be called shortly to “determine how to procees with democracy in this country”. Political analyst Xolela Mangcu earlier told the station that he thought the new party was unlikely to be a political force. “It [the party] has to come out of society, not as a splinter from another party. It has to be something that galvanises the people, like the MDC [Movement for Democratic Change in Zimbabwe]. It has to excite the people." He also questioned whether the Lekota would be able to have a political life outside of the ANC. On the question of the perceived intolerance in the ruling party, he said “they [Lekota and others] were the ones that were intolerant under [former] president Thabo Mbeki". ANC leader Jacob Zuma has said Mbeki would be asked to help campaign at next year's election, in an apparent attempt at reconciliation. Zuma, widely expected to become president after the general election, was quoted as telling a meeting of black businessmen on Tuesday that any breakaway party would have no alternative policies to offer and could not last. "You can't believe in the ANC and its policies so deeply, and then form an organisation that repeats the same policies, that would be funny," he said. Alternatives "If it happens it could be the anger and die down very quickly. When people are shocked, angry, quickly reacting, you could say 'I'd better go away'." "What kind of alternative policies could you put across alternate to the ANC, that would challenge the ANC? I don't think so, but I'm not saying it can't happen." However, if people did that, Zuma said, "You would be stranded if you were in the ANC, you could be in cold and in the snow, and then say, I better go back home." Zuma said the ANC had in its history gone through a lot of similar experiences -- such as opposition that arose within its ranks to taking up an armed struggle. It had always succeeded in getting through them, he said. The party deposed Mbeki over allegations of political interference in a corruption case involving Zuma. Lekota, who resigned as defence minister after Mbeki's removal, has accused the ANC of stifling dissent and flouting the rule of law. - Reuters |
This is funny. I like the Rugby one. The Americans tried to play Rugby with us and they were handed a drubbing. American football is foolish. You play then rest, play then rest again LOL! Shame poor souls, Britain must just annex them, i'll support that. |
@ MC Usman Dude tell me exatly, what's the point of posting these horrifying pics. What do you aim to archieve. Why are you opening up healed wounds. Think of another topic or just swictch off your little desktop |
Hey, RSA le Angelheart, people ba tshogile mo area ya Johannesburg. Motho ga a fila dizzy o simolla go tshoga. The situation is really bad. Malwetse a mantsi a simolla gona ka tsela e jaana. Ga jaana ke boela kwa Mpele wa lecoloured!!! ![]() Everybody who comes into South Africa should be properly screened and searched. This is really bad!! |
I don't give a f***#$ about what people think or say, but hey some of us have relatives who're nurses, what if they come into contact with such people. This is not xenophobic but from a concerned South African Nationalist. One Metro FM newsreader died after gcoming back from Kenya. She died from malaria. For heavens sake we already have problems with HIV/Aids and crime. We don't need another one of these illnesses. Whenever we go to these far flung African countries we have stories to tell when we come back. Our soccer teams whenever they come back from some these African countries, some are sick from diarhea, fevers, malaria etc. |
Why are people like tpia always quick to attack me. What is it that I said that is wrong. Didn't those things happen in West Africa. Please don't compare what was happening there with the ANC v National Party. What was happening here was not a black on black war, in fact it was never a war. It was more of blacks fighting for their rights that were denied to them by whites. The battles were fought in a civilised manner. We never had people eating others. If you know the history of Black America, then you'll understand the South African history I'm also sad and touched by what i've just seen. I may appear insensetive but deeply I'm touched. Maybe thats the way I'm, I can't really show emotions. But why would people of the same country do that to each other. Africa has a history of its inhabitants electing or allowing psychopaths to lead them e.g Sani Abacha, Mugabe, Idi Amin, Mobutu Sese Seko etc. Why don't the rest of the continent learn from us. We saw that Mbeki wanted a third term, and he was quickly fired. Had we left him, he was going to finish his third term, then again he would've wanted a fourth term. Things like these breed dictatorships that always leads to civil wars. Thats why Nigerians were commended when they got reed of Obasanjo who wanted another term. |
I've always hinted that most of the illnesses that we're suffering from in South Africa are brought here by foreigners. This is a classical example. The women who came here with this rare deases is Zambian. Now three South Africans who came into contact with her are dead. HIV/Aids might have came with African foreigners when the borders were opened in 1994. |
Damn!! What the f***$%. Is that dude really eating human heart. This can only happen in Africa. If indeed people eat each other in West Africa, then I can see why most West Africans have left their home countries. I can see why the likes of Blackspade, tpia, kobojunkie etc left their countries. I can see why the Senegalese would rather die in the ocean trying to reach Spain. I would also leave, nobody would like to be killed and eaten. So, what the hell is happening to those ladies, are they dead or what? |
@tpia who said I'm speaking for whites. You're one of the persons that I'm talking about. You're probably exhausting the New Zealand social system. Go back home you slowpoke!!!!!! |
@MC Usman. Where are the pictures you slowpoke!!!!! |
I don't understand how are Africans changing the landscape of cities in an around the world. I don't see how having a stall on a street corner in Harlem or working for Macdonalds in London can be seen as positive. What's happening to Africans especially in Europe, is that they're in places where the are not even wanted. That's why you'll here stories like "Africans killed in Ukraine" It is highly moronic that an African would be made glad by the fact that he/she is contributing to the economy of New York whereas Lagos or Accra is turning into a rubbish bin. In the eyes of the British, White Americans etc, Africans will forever remain as second class human beings. |
This is shocking! Wow |
Why do Americans like to meddle their big noses into other countries affairs. Isn't Nigeria a sovereign state, if so then Nigeria have a right to associate with any other country or embark on producing nucleur weapons. Who in the first place instructed the US to be the leader of the world. This ain't funny, these people are bloody irritating. |
I don't think that was a racist incident. We don't know, maybe the place that the actor was perfoming at was indeed a crime heaven. This was a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. These things happen everywhere. The question I have is why when mostly white policemen arrest blacks there is an outcry of racism. These tthings usually happens in South Africa and the USA. When blacks arrest whites, you'll never hear them crying racism. The actor must not take it personal!! |
Yes you're right we have serious labour shortage, but you must also realise the fact that the article is from Yahoo. They're like the BBC and CNN. They write negatively, when writing about Africa. So the article does not have any value what so ever. The real problem in South Africa is the massive inequalities when coming to the economy. Rich whites and poor blacks, coloureds and to some extent Indians. But the level of poverty cannot be compared the poverty that is experienced by the rest of the continent. Thats why even if there is poverty you don't have people jumping fences to other African countries. South Africa is exatly like Brazil, where whites are a bit richer, then you have your Afro Brazillians and Pardos who're bit poorer compared to Whites. The situation is exatly the same here. The crime in most cases in the townships where you have gun wielding gangs and thugs, just like in the American neighbourhoods and Brazillian favelas. You also have 60% of rich blacks who're affluent and live leafy surbubs. The bottom line is that we have problems and we're working hard to address them, unlike other countries in our continent where the is absoloutly no life at all. Where there is doom and gloom. Where people will even die in the ocean trying to escape poverty. |
@ bilymuse, if you are not interested then why did you respond you slowpoke!!!! |
I want to know why most of the people here are attacking me. Why does human nature allows people to attack others when they differ. I find it moronic that most Nigerians were attacking me, telling me about crime and Hiv/aids in South Africa. Is as if in Nigeria there is no crime. In fact in Africa and Nigeria there are so many illneses. In South Africa we are just struggling with HIV of which is a world wide epindemic. I mean in Asia there is so much HIV/Aids but hey no one is saying anything. It is a shame that most Nigerians still say that the reason South Africa is developed is because of whites. Yes they played a part, but hey they're out of power but development is still taking shape under black rule. People speak as if when whites were working, blacks, coloureds and Indians were just sitting back. Who mined all the gold, who was climbing ladders and building tall buildings and stadiums that we have today, isn't it blacks. We're so different to other African Nations. When the chinese were building raliway lines and stadiums in East Africa they brought with them their own labour force. We suffered under apartheid and when it ended we didn't see a need to get rid of white people, why should we, not all white South Africans were racist. We will continue to work hard to make sure that this country progresses. The few numskulls who went around beating up people do not represent even 10% of the population. What some of us were advocating was that there must be proper control of immigrants. People who come here to work or invest should be allowed to come in regardless of colour or ethnicity. People who're here just because some few leaders were given shelter in their countries and now feel entitled to come here and do as they wish are the dangerous ones. They'll cause havoc when things don't go their way. Let me reitarate the fact that I don't have any problem with Nigerians and never will, the only gripe I have is the manners. Americans are brash and arrogant, but hey for them is not just all talk, no action. They're hard working people and just like the French they're allowed to be arrogant about it. Now here we have our lovelly friends, who talk too much and think that the world revolves around them. They look down upon other less fortunate countries e.g Ghana. The country is a bloody mess, nothing works. Lagos is like garbage dump, and now they're doing exatly the same thing to Hillbrow in Johannesburg. Nigerians must learn to be polite then the rest of the world will take them serious. You don't have anything to back up your claims with. As they say most Nigerians are educated and armed with MBA's and other fancy titles. What's the use of having those things if they're not contributing to the advancement of your country. Zimbabweans are amongst the most educated in Africa and they used to boast to the South Africans about their education, where are they now. South Africa generally don't have the culture of reading, this includes blacks and coloureds who like casual jobs like working in shops, firms and mining, whites who like farming and Indians who're shopkeepers, but hey lifes goes on and the economy is growing. Its high time Nigerians put their money where their mouths are. Its been more than 40 years of independence, but things are still the same. The message is simple to you. SHUT UP AND GET TO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a brotherly advice, take it or leave it. |
Nominate me as I'm not Nigerian. I won't take sides. Unlike other Africans I believe in freedom of speach. Everbody can say whatever he/she feels about others |
@ grafikdon. lol! couldn't have said it better I think 9th world would be better. That is why Nigerians are all over the world, they just can't afford to live in a lifeless country. This is not an insult, but reality |
I can say its feels good to be South African when you see such things. Lefatshe le tlile go bona matsetseleko a tlieleng go dirwa ke Afrika Borwa. Viva Zuid Afrikaansche!!!! |
@ RitchyBlack. Ok Mr Political commentator lets hear your correct opinion. Don't you know that everybody is entitled to his pr her opinion. Thats why you're stuck in Somalia. |
These Nigerians don't even have sporting infrastructure, but they want to buy Newcastle United. A country of over 100 million people with one stadium (Abuja stadium). Why those so called businessmen use the money to build at least two stadiums. This is a shame. |
This is sadly true. Why would Nigerians and South Africans buy Newcastle United. What must happen is that the Nigerian consortium must buy Enyimba FC and invest in it or sponsor the League. The same goes for the South African businessman, they must plough their money into the development of football in South Africa. The Newcastle guy is right, the bloody scoundrels don't even know anything about Newcastle United, they saw it on television playing. In South Africa we don't allow foreigners to own clubs here. The English should do the same. |
Actually Nigeria together with Chad, Sudan, Central African Republic, Kenya, Somalia and all those sub-saharan countries except South Africa and North Africa are 4th world. |
I don't have anything against the West Africans, I have a problem with the way they behave. Nigerians are loud, Senegalese, Malians, Cameroonians board little boats on a journey to Spain, what they do next, die in numbers. That's a shame. |
China is gonna decolonise Africa again, with the exception of South Africa. We're not desperate. |
VIVA la Chavez. Go on dig your own little grave. Fidel Castro failed with Russia's help. When are people like Chavez realise that the US is just so powerful to intimidated by little ants like Venezuela, Cuba etc, supported by a cowardly bully called Russia. |
Come on now be serious. Are you saying that Nigerians are used by the Chinese as slaves. South African Blacks just like their African American counterparts used to work for whites, but that was long ago. Now Nigerians are being used as slaves, this is a shame. What baffles me is that they're being abused by the Chinese. Just come to South Africa and see how the Chinese are treated, they were even begging the government to classify them as blacks. This is shame, aren't the Nigerians supposed to be the supreme beings of Africa, the educated intellects who know everything. The clever ones who can con even the most educated in Europe. |
This is becoming rather comical. I'm sure those Africans are West Africans. Why is that these people go to such countries. For starters the languange in Ukraine is big hurdle, why is that these West Africans go to places like that. I mean eastern europeans are the most racist and backwards, unlike their western counterparts, they're not used to seeing much of black people. I'm sure there is a Nigerian somewhere in Bangladesh, Mongolia, Uzbekistan etc. When are you people gonna learn, just because England, USA, and other countries pretend to tolerate you, you think the rest of the world will do that! no. Just stay home, xenophobic South Africans made it clear that they don't want you, which I think its wrong, but hey I don't think that there is any country in the world that would like to have Nigerians within their borders epecially loud ones who think that they can have an opinion on everything that moves. Maybe North Africans would like to have you. |
