ginkyi, you must get a life self-servicer! We will host the world cup whether your pitch black ass like it or not. Your country can't even win the bid to host the Commonwealth Games. Sepp Blatter came and assured the world that South Africa is ready. The world class stadiums are 75 % done. Even Europe don't have the class of stadiums that you will see in 2010. Don't even talk about stadium development as your big country only have one stadium, as for some like Surulere are a non starter. Focus on your country and leave us alone with our crime riddled country that has hosted the Rugby and Cricket world cups and now going for the big one. 2010 WORLD CUP. Focus on your poverty riddled third world slump called Nigeria and leave us the Bleep alone. http://www.sa2010.gov.za/news/180908_2010zuma.php http://www.aipsmedia.com/index.php?page=news&cod=2588&tp=n |
It will be the unbelievable power of the Rand which belong to the top 20 currencies of the world up aginst the Naira in a bid to buy Newcastle United. More bidders for Newcastle United Posted: 2008-09-29 14:52 The South African consortium of businessmen bidding to buy English Premiership side Newcastle United will face stiff competition with the news this morning that five more would-be buyers have entered the race. Yesterday, it was disclosed that the South Africans, who have yet to be named, had countered a Nigerian bid with a R5, 2-billion offer for the club. However, today it emerged that Newcastle owner Mike Ashley’s chances of securing a quick sale of the club have risen dramatically as he has received five more approaches from possible bidders, and none of them British. Although much of the attention has so far been focused on the group of Nigerian businessmen, advisers Seymour Pierce have been encouraged by the response they have had since being appointed to sell the club by the Sports Direct tycoon. Seymour Pierce are expected to spend the rest of this week assessing the bidders before recommending one offer to Ashley, who is seeking around £350 -million for the club. The new details of the auction came as the former Newcastle United chairman Sir John Hall yesterday admitted that he was resigned to the club falling into foreign hands. Hall, who paved the way for sports retail tycoon Ashley to buy Newcastle last year by selling off his family's shares, said: “Roman Abramovich [Chelsea’s owner] changed the game forever. “There’s nobody in Britain wealthy enough who’d be interested in investing in a football club. Who has this sort of mega-money? “Even Mike Ashley was finding it difficult with his wealth because £200 -million is a lot of money. Premier League clubs are being bought as toys. They’ll have them for a few years, then throw them away. These people don’t know the passion of the fans. The Premier League is a tremendous brand, but I fear for the game and for the fans.” Hall defended his decision to sell to Ashley who has put the club back on the market following the angry reaction of fans to the resignation of manager Kevin Keegan less than four weeks ago. What I do is just go no tsosa raurau, thats it. Di forum tse dintsi ba nkobile, ka ke ne ke tsosa trouble all the way. If these forums re le lovey dovey and always agreeing on everything di a mbora. Hope gore ke tlotla koo, as my fried o kwa Yorkshire, but a re e kgole le London. |
For the first time I agree with you people. Ganja must be legalised. In South Africa it could lead you to jail for three months. Anyway some of us smoke it. |
LOL! Tell me if this not barbaric. Or we can say His majesty Mr ambassador had to much to drink. Why would a former boxer be an ambassador. |
LOL! Do I have to say more. |
Ba gaetsho I may be coloured but ke a utlwa le go tlhaloganya setswana. Le seka la nagana gore le tla ntsheba. Ke letlhanya la Pitori to the core. Why exclude Trevor Manuel, or by the he is coloured. South Africa must be led by person of a darker skin, because it is a black country. What a pity! |
Otele! you wish boy, South Africa will never be like the rest of Africa. We're only part of the dark continent geographically not in terms of thinking. If a president becomes big headed, he is then removed. Even Zuma will be removed if his behavior is unbecoming. |
Nigerians don't go to China and Europe for business. They go there to steal, albeit 419. |
I don't care if we have a xhosa, motswana shangaan or afrikaaner president, what I care about is if the politicians can make sure that South Africa maintains its economic success and higher standard of living. Motlanthe must make sure that the level of crime goes down and our border gates should only be open to those who are here to work or to invest. |
It is possible. It happened in South Africa where four women went around kidnapping men tying them and raping them. http://www.news24.com/News24/South_Africa/News/0,,2-7-1442_2365919,00.html I would like to go to the spot where the lucky man was picked up. Wow, raped by a woman that would be nice, especially if they're three. Preety kinky hey!! |
Its sad, but hey what was the Nigerian businessman doing in China. Haven't he had about what is called the Chinese triads. The next minute you'll here that a Nigerian businessman was killed in Afghanistan or Bangladesh. I ask myself why is that West Africans are the ones who are killed all over the world e.g Africans killed in Italy, Senegalese killed in Spain, Nigerian killed in China. There must be something that our West African brothers do in foreign countries that always get them into foreign jails or be killed. You'll never hear stories of South Africans or Black Americans being killed in foreign countries |
RSA, this Mbeki thing is sooo boring. Tony Blair was also dismissed like this but hey, the brits never made noise about it. Lets just leave it, the poor oke is gone. As for Angelhearts, i don't think she is South African, or maybe she has a Nigerian or Sudanese boyfriend |
What the Bleep do you mean by saying I'm fraud. Am I so important that you'd open a thread just do discuss me., you have no shame. Is the fact that most of you have deserted your third world filthy slump called Nigeria for the comfort of Europe and the US makes you better than me. go get lives all of you! Or lock yourselves in your bedrooms. |
Angelheart, my father was one of the ANC guys who were doing military training in Europe, that's where he met my mother who who was a journalism student in Netherlands. I commuted between Netherlands and South Africa for the better part of my life. The reason I stayed in Eeresterus is that the place is nearer to Mamelodi, which I had a problem in terms of adapting to the way of live there(Mamelodi). I was staying with my brother in Eeresterus because we could relate to the people there. I still stay there even now. As for the personal attack that you've launched against me, I find it hard to stomach. The reason I said blacks can be barbaric sometimes is the fact that some of the things they do leave much to be desired. Okay lets do this. Who rapes young kids, some as young as 5 years? Who commits most of the robberies? We watched with horror as black South Africans attacked and killed black Africans. Did you see any coloured person beating up foreigers. Hey I love blacks, they're my relatives, but that does not mean I will condone bad things that they do. The same goes for white who are racist. |
I was born in Eersterus Pretoria East. My father is from the famous Mamelodi Township. My mother was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands. I spent most of my life travelling between Rotterdam and Pretoria. In 1995 I decided to permanantly stay in South Africa. I have felt the effects of apartheid. Everybody who is not blinded by loyalty towards any black party or white party will acknowledg the fact that blacks inherited a beautiful country with first world infrastructure and resources. What we need now is good leadership, not some Zulu v xhosa stupid leadership with intend to make money while they still can. Regardless of me having black and white parents, I've always been on the black side and even supporting the ANC. But there is no way I' d put black pride and be bound by loyalty to people who are hell bent on making this country another typical failed African state. I'd rather live under a white man than live in a third world country. Just look at Hillbrow today. It looks like a Brazillian favela. The place used to look like Beverly Hill. After 1994 when the borders were open to our so called African brothers, look at Hillbrow, Yeoville and Sunnyside. To me as a proud South African. My country comes first. I will jealously guard it. |
I'd like to be classified as black, but hey! If we say we're black then our bros! say that we're opportunists because during aprteid we wanted to be whites. I don't have power because the black government says that I'm coloured. When I fill z83 forms, If I say black, then my surname says otherwise. The thing I'm not obssesed with race. What's unfolding is that we and Indians we're watching a race that was given a crime free country, that has the potential of becoming another African state. But hey! luckly blacks didn't chase whites away. There are times that I wish Nelson Mandela could just come back. |
Obama is extremly stupid. What does the fact that somebody cannot use the computer stop him from becoming president. The president must have typists and a secretary who take care of those things. |
For South Africa to be where it is economically, Mbheki had to focus on Africa and THEE so called African rennaisance. He had to leave the country to bring business home. Something that Zuma will not be able to do. Now that he is gone and we have a strong economy, Zuma and his camp must now work towards 'FIXING' south Africa. Mbheki has made it easy for them. As for the HIV rates, we all know who is to blame!! What makes you to say Zuma will not be able to bring business to South Africa. What is the basis of your argument. As for the HIV rate. No leader can be blamed for that, If you sleep around without using a condom, then you gonna be HIV positive, what does the president have to do with that. Black South Africans should control their hormones and stop bonking on railway lines and then after that blame the president. |
Sorry Angelheart, I'm actually classified as being coloured. My mother is dutch and my father is tswana. I've spent most of my time with both the black and white part of my family. Blacks can be racist just like whites, its just that blacks always portray themselves as victims. Lets conclude by saying white south Africans can be the most racist. Indians are also racist, colureds are also racist. I've seen blacks discriminating coloureds and calling them names. Black South Africans are not saints and most of them hate blacks from other countries especially if they're darker. |
"ROTFL" |
I think Obama is just some media created cult hero who is used to fight racial politics. For the fact that I'm black doesn't mean that I'll like Obama. The black minority are living a wonderful middle class life under a white president, so what will Obama change. America is not like like Africa where a president will have a final say in everything. In the US there is big business that is running the country behind close doors. The big business that tells George Bush to go and invade Iraq, because there is a lot to gain. If America was a custodian for world peace, they would've intervened in the Rwandan genocide, but hey! hang on Rwanda does not have oil, gold, etc. The poor little country produces cocoa butter. What is America going to do with cocoa butter. The US is governed exatly the way South Africa is governed. There is big business behind the president. Do people actually believe that South Africa will pay expenses for the DRC elections without gaining anything. Today South African mining firms are running the DRC economy. South Africa continues to do that to Angola, Nigeria, Botswana, Namibia, Ivory Coast, Kenya etc. What I'm trying to highlight here is the fact that Obama will not bring any change to the lives of black americans. The US foreign relations will not change just because a black man is in power. The US will continue to provide aid to struggling African countries who have their interests, e.g Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria etc The fact that South Africa has allinged itself with other developing countries that do not owe the world bank or any country (China, Brazil, Mexico, India & South Africa) have created friction between Pretoria and Washington. The Americans are angry because South Africa teamed up with Russia and China on two occasions to vote against them on issues of Burma and Zimbabwe. This shows that you do not become an American friend but a poddle. Just ask Britain. AMERICA DON'T HAVE FRIENDS, BUT INTERESTS. Whether its Obama or Macain, America will never change the way it views the world. |
Its good that Mbeki is going. The has been focusing too much on Africa with his Nepad and African Renaissance. What we needed was South African renaissance. He focused his energies on solving conflicts and in the process forgot about us. The foreign affairs minister was basically doing nothing. But overall he was a good president. He will leave us with the 25th biggest economy in the world. His legacy will never be erased. He must not be blamed for the HIV/Aids rate as he never told people to go and sleep around. |
Angelheart, I don't think that Black South Africans should complain about white racists as black South Africans are also racist especially against Indians. They also don't like black Africans. |
419 victim rescued 25 September 2008 Cops free Swedish man from Nigerians who lured him to SA Two Nigerian men were arrested and the Swedish man they allegedly kidnapped was rescued unharmed in Johannesburg, police said yesterday. Kenth Sadaaki Suzuki was apparently lured to South Africa by a group of Nigerians after he fell for the so-called 419 scam, police spokesman senior Superintendent Vishnu Naidoo said. Suzuki was made to believe he would be part of an investment opportunity with a company known as Jeffdon Properties. “The men met their victim at 8am on Tuesday at the OR Tambo International Airport and transported him to a house in Rosettenville where they robbed him of all his belongings. They bound his hands and legs and held him against his will,” Naidoo said. The men then demanded a ransom of 20000euros (about R235000) from Suzuki’s wife and family. Head of the police’s detective services Commissioner Rayman Lalla got a call from Sweden about the kidnapping and went into action. The perpetrators were tracked down, arrested and Suzuki rescued unharmed. The Nigerians have been linked to three other cases in which they allegedly kidnapped Americans as part of the same scam. The men are also being investigated for their possible involvement in other cases. The two will appear in the Kempton Park magistrate’s court on charges of kidnapping, extortion, intimidation and assault soon. – Sapa http://www.sowetan.co.za/News/Article.aspx?id=850090 |
Trevor Manuel was the minister who was driving the economy of South Africa. He is living the 25th biggest economy in the whole world
|
SA rocked by resignation of ministers MAIL & GUARDIAN ONLINE REPORTERS AND AGENCIES | JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - Sep 23 2008 12:49 Finance Minister Trevor Manuel is among 11 Cabinet ministers and three deputy ministers who have resigned. President Thabo Mbeki had received their letters of resignation, "which, regretfully, he has had to accept", the Presidency said in a statement on Tuesday. The Cabinet members who have resigned include Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, who earlier in the day announced her decision to leave her position, to which she was appointed after African National Congress president Jacob Zuma was released from his responsibilities as deputy president in 2005. One of the reasons Mlambo-Ngcuka gave was to allow a new president the opportunity to choose his or her own deputy. Tuesday's other resignations: Minister of Defence Mosiuoa Lekota; Minister in the Presidency Essop Pahad; Minister of Intelligence Ronnie Kasrils; Minister of Correctional Services Ngconde Balfour; Minister of Public Enterprises Alec Erwin; Minister of Science and Technology Mosibudi Mangena; Minister of Public Works Thoko Didiza; Minister of Provincial and Local Government Sydney Mufamadi; and Minister of Public Service and Administration Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi. Deputy ministers who resigned: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aziz Pahad; Deputy Minister of Finance Jabu Moleketi; and Deputy Minister of Correctional Services Loretta Jacobus. "The resignations will be effective from the day that the president's resignation takes effect [Thursday]," the Presidency said. "All the ministers have expressed their availability to assist the incoming administration in the handover process and any other assistance that might be sought from them. "President Mbeki thanked the deputy president, the ministers and deputy ministers for their dedicated service to the nation and wished them well in their future endeavours," it said. Economic shock It was already known that Erwin would not stay after the next election, and Essop Pahad made his own announcement on Monday, but the big surprise was Manuel, who said himself two days ago that he had no intention of quitting. The removal of Manuel, who has been responsible -- with Mbeki's keen support -- for the economic stability of the country is the biggest surprise, and seems likely to portend some significant departures from current financial policy. CONTINUES BELOW South African markets fell after news of the resignations. The rand extended its losses to more than 2,5%, bonds fell sharply and the blue-chip JSE securities exchange top-40 index plunged more than 4%. However, Manuel's spokesperson said he is willing to serve under the country's new president in any capacity. "The minister has resigned as a member of the Cabinet and felt duty-bound to do so as he served at the pleasure of the president, and President [Thabo] Mbeki had resigned," Treasury spokesperson Thoraya Pandy said. "However, the minister has indicated a strong willingness to assist and to serve the new administration in whatever capacity they may ask of him," she added. The resignations are likely to raise investor fears of political instability in Africa's biggest economy. Meanwhile, South African lawmakers rubber-stamped Mbeki's resignation on Tuesday, as he attempts to mend his bruised reputation from charges that he interfered in the prosecution of Zuma. The ANC-dominated Parliament voted overwhelmingly in favour of effecting Mbeki's resignation from Thursday September 25, with only 10 votes against the motion. ANC deputy chief Kgalema Motlanthe was named as the party's candidate to take over as head of state. Parliament will on Thursday vote on his election, and he will be sworn in later in the day. Mbeki, who announced his resignation on Sunday after pressure from the ANC, attempted to salvage his reputation in the Constitutional Court, as he challenged a court ruling that he says cost him his job as president. A life in finance Manuel, born in 1956, served as Finance Minister from 1996 until 2008, making him one of the world's longest-serving finance ministers. He entered public life in 1981 as the general secretary of the Cape Areas Housing Action Committee, after which he became a national executive member of the United Democratic Front (UDF). In September 1985 he was detained. However, the ban was lifted on March 25 1986 after it was ruled that it was not in line with the provisions of the Internal Security Act. On August 15 1986 Manuel was again detained under emergency regulations for almost two years until July 1988. He was released from detention under severe restrictions but promptly detained again in September 1988, this time until February 1989. His release came with stringent restriction orders. After the unbanning of the ANC, Manuel was appointed deputy coordinator in the Western Cape. At the ANC's first regional conference in 1990 he was elected as publicity secretary. At the ANC's 1991 national conference, he was elected to the national executive committee. In 1992, Manuel became head of the ANC's department of economic planning. He was elected as an ANC MP in 1994 and appointed by President Nelson Mandela first as minister of trade and industry, and then as minister of finance in 1996. The World Economic Forum selected Manuel as a "Global Leader for Tomorrow" in 1994, and he has received numerous international awards and recognition for his accomplishments.-- Sapa, AFP, Reuters |
Okay then Landis and Justgood, take your black assess to Rome and while there attend a soccer match in at the stadio Olimpico where Lazio plays their home matches. I acknowledge the fact that the countries I mentioned are also racist, but not to an extent of the Italians. Now imagine the in your face, smug attitude of a Nigerian against the right wing Italian man. Thats a recipe for disaster. The catch is that the Nigerian must at the end of the day acknowledge the fact that he is in the Italian territory. Most West Africans especially Nigerians don't respect other people, instead when they're in a country they behave as if they belong to that country, thats why where ever they are people are always complaining about them. This is now affecting the whole region of West Africa. When we look at Nigerians, Liberians and all their neighbours we see the same people. West Africans must learn to behave, but I'm not condoning what happened to those poor guys. Why don't these people leave Europeans alone. I've said it before in this forum that, some people will jealously guard their own countries and even go to an extent of killing. Example, Australians, most Europeans and xenophobic South Africans. |
Do I HAVE TO SAY MORE! This is totally insane. That's why the whole world will never take Africa serious. Oh god what did this continent do to deserve this. Lol!!!!!! |
What were they exatly doing in Italy. Do they know the language. Don't they know that Africans go England, US, France, Canada, Australia, Portugal and New Zealand. I mean really now, everybody knows that Italians and Spaniards are the most racist. Why did they go there. One will never understand West Africans. |
ANC names Motlanthe as president CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA Sep 22 2008 12:34 The African National Congress on Monday named its deputy president Kgalema Motlanthe as head of state until elections are held in seven months' time, a spokesperson said. "Motlanthe will be the president, not interim, he will be the president of the republic until the election," spokesperson for the ANC parliamentary caucus KK Khumalo said after a meeting between the party and lawmakers. Motlanthe's nomination comes a day after President Thabo Mbeki announced his resignation in a live broadcast, after calls by his party for him to step down seven months before the end of his second term. Motlanthe was elected party deputy president at a crunch ANC conference in December last year, which was when Jacob Zuma toppled Mbeki from his position as party chief. According to the South African Constitution, Parliament elects the president from among its members, dominated by the ANC since 1994. Motlanthe was only recently appointed to Parliament as minister in the presidency charged with smoothing the transition from one administration to the next. Mbeki was called to resign after suggestions by a judge that his government had interfered in a corruption prosecution against his arch rival Zuma, which was thrown out of court over a week ago. Mbeki denied any such interference in a broadcast to the nation on Sunday. Never sought limelight Motlanthe is a left-leaning intellectual who has never sought the limelight. Born in 1949, Motlanthe is the youngest of thirteen children, and he was influenced by the revolutionary ideologies of the Black Consciousness Movement of Steve Biko. He was detained by the apartheid government in 1977 at 28, the year after the 1976 Soweto uprising. In 1967 he was detained for 11 months for pursuing the aims of the ANC. He was later sentenced to 10 years imprisonment on Robben Island. Shortly after his release he was elected secretary general of the National Union of Mineworkers. In 1997 when politician-businessman Cyril Ramaphosa retired from politics, Kgalema was elected secretary general of the ANC. |
