The money doesn't have to be returned. What they will do is to calculate the amount of pension money already paid, deduct it from the 20yrs buyout and settle the balance to each staff. 20yrs buyout is still very very much possible. And I'm not saying anyone should pay money to anybody. I was once scamed of #2000 in the name of Nitel union fighting for pensioners in 2015 thereabout. I don't know why some Nitel staff have become so greedy to the extent of scaming fellow staffs.

It doesn't have to be returned. It's simple, all they have to do is balance up your remain months or years arrears and life goes on.

I wonder why they are yet to pay some people. It's getting to long as if they have decided not to pay them or maybe a quantifiable amount of staffs money have been channelled towards generating some selfish intrest. Please just hang on brother government must pay the 20 years whether they like it or not. Because I can't imagine some people been treated specially while others treated like slaves in their own country. The fact remains that government have settled Nepa & Airways so they should also gradually & diligently settle nitel, it's just a straight forward matter. If they like they should delay it till 2030.

There's no payment for November ( some are yet to receive a penny) and this brings me to the conclusion that monthly pension itself is not justice to the nitel staff cause if it were, no level of distraction via court summons can stop payments already started.
To P. tad. Pay the nitel staff what's due ( buyout) let there be peace once and for all cause this delay tactics to further enrich yourself through their hard earned money by fixed deposit is already Evil taken too far. What nonsense.

1. Some people are left behind. Those who did not work up to ten yrs. I can imagine how rejected they feel about this.
2. I doubt if the pension will be stable as we expect it 2 be. So all this put 2gether would definitely make d 20yrs pension buyout persistent & preferable.

I have been following up this thread for months and I have no doubt that some PTAD loyalists or even anti-bulk buy out loyalist who are paid to do the job of buying the minds of disengaged staff to believing that monthly pay is better than bulk payment just for their selfish interest.

Just like Nepa & Nigerian airways. Our case should be made a (No Retreat, No Surrender) until complete justice is achieved . Pension may fade away when this government goes. I am confused about this whole thing. Just reading about PTAD now. My dad(deceased) retired from NITEL in 1995. He died 2009. He has been paid his 5yr buy out pension. We collected the remaining buyout in 2010 thereabout


Is he still entitled to anything?

Is this verification applicable to us?

I don't get ATEN, oluti or 25yrs buyout plan, can someone pls shed more light on this

Thats true, when it comes to Nitel's case flimsy and rubbish excuses start to surface. If it is not that the format of the database are not in the format PTAD wants. Then it will be that the number of data of staffs is incomplete. What ever be the case something useless and senseless must definitely arise from no where. I just hope that the verification will not exceed october or @ worse november. Because if it does, then it will be pretty too late. And the patient may just start to be very inpatient.

The oluti group has brought nothing but pain and more pain to the nitel/mtel staffs. I wonder why nitel/mtel staffs did not groom strong & brilliant representatives(union). I have always come to realise that the nitel/mtel union from the onset are missing in action (based on the 2006 5yrs pay off, Nepa got like tripple or more because of strong union). N./M. union are always handling issues top to bottom approach, Instead of bottom to top approach. They could have even been easily lobbied against the poor staffs back then in 2006. Pls the so called Oluti & his group can not be trusted. Can we just capture & throw them into the dungeon before they do more harm.
