I do wonder what would have been the case if they could afford brand new cars.

I have posted before on Transportation business.

Drivers want hire purchase so they can get what their limited financial power cannot get. It does not favor the car owner in terms of multiplying profits, although it favors the the car owner in terms of legalese.

Car owners want rental so they can maximize profit from investment. It does not favor the driver in the sense that he is not working to own.

That said a shrewd driver will put himself in the shoes of the owner when negotiating instead of thinking what is in it for me alone.

Agreed that a driver faces a lot of risks on the road, but the car owner faces even more risk, giving someone who cannot afford 1m to 5m control of a property worth that much.

It is not easy to raise capital and that cost and the risk must be respected and rewarded.

Drivers must never ever forget that!

It’s the content of cement in the mix. Cement is the “glue” that binds either stone dust or sharp sand together in the blocks.

I don’t think the need to saw is worth the end result. IMHO.

Believe me I tried this fancy block work thing.

In my opinion, you may not get much satisfaction from attempting to saw regular Nigerian blocks. They’ll just break.

Never hit the battery terminals yourself... and expressly instruct your mechanics never to...that is one thing untrained mechanics love to do that greatly reduces battery life span

That you called and narrated everything I said doesn't mean we have resolved issues. You should have waited till you actually do something responsible before posting this. Cuz nothing has been done by you since this whole incident. And after the call you thought over and decide to call back and apologize. To evade the antispam bot I will make another post that contains a link with pictures

Turns out that Sienna at least from 2004 down have a sagging problem at the rear when heavily loaded

Local techs fix the problem by replacing its rear shocks with that from another vehicle

Research points to a better solution though, so I will be purchasing and ensuring that the following is fitted to the ride: an air suspension kit which can be either manual (just air lift springs) or fully automatic (inclusive of air compressors) depending on the cost outlay.

Think of the automatic version as no different from what you would expect on a Range Rover from a Toyota Sienna.

This is a must given the state of Nigerian roads which causes the vehicle to exert undue pressure on vehicle components including the exhaust pipes
