oyinkinola: The thruth is that the division of Nigeria is far more beyond the capacity of any Nigerian, who ever dreaming of the break up of Nigeria is wasting their time and life, because the only country the Britain proud of in Africa is whole Nigeria. Britain would never support any motion of division of Nigeria in UN! Yes Britain would never support balkanization of it's former colony but then again,Biafra is not soliciting for their support anyway |

Come off it. Nigeria refusing to buy biafran products cannot really happen and even in the advent of such,Nigerians refusing to buy will be hugely inconsequential to the Biafran market |

zendy: The 'Ghana must go' crises happend in the 1980's. At that time, Nigeria had not yet signed the 1993 ECOWAS treaty on freedom of movement that was later ratified in 2007. I pray thee, certainly Seun must device a ploy to weed out illiterates from our midst. This is becoming embarrassing. Thanks for educating them. |
Politics › Re: Will Biafrans Need Work Permit In Nigeria? by MrAnalyst: 1:51pm On Dec 05, 2015 |
zendy: If you look at the top of the Nigerian passport, you will see "ECOWAS" embossed on it. What this means is that any of the 15 member nation in the ECOWAS sub-region can travel, live and work in each other's countries, including Nigeria, without the need for visa or work permit. Biafra will apply to join ECOWAS and that application is likely to be accepted since Biafra is in West Africa and used to be a member under Nigeria. When Biafra joins ECOWAS, they will be free to travel to any part of Nigeria, live and work without any work permit unless Nigeria pulls out of ECOWAS. Interesting. But still,if I may,are you certain Biafra will join ECOWAS? |

Let us pray: if you are still unmarried, may God in His infinite wisdom make you marry from Osu and if you are already married, then may He make your daughter marry an Osu man; and if you are truly sincere, then please join me and say AMEN. Don't use God's name in vain you this man. Amen to that prayer |

post=40703855: How about Ondo and Ijabu people?
Toke Makinwa also shared a deep morning message on her Instagram page today with the below image, about being on the receiving end of ‘tribalism’ and how she thinks things should change.
stop tribalism“There is so much to say on this topic, it is heartbreaking but real. Tribalism has been and is still been practiced today. Lagos is home for everyone, our generation knows better too. Let’s not let this come in between us, the OBA’s statement was ignorant but do we really blame him ?? We all at some point in our lives have been on the receiving end of acts of tribalism.
Let’s take out the tension and be real with each-other. Our parents generation practiced tribalism openly and they were not corrected. In some homes befriending people from other tribes was frowned on, marrying from another tribe is still being frowned on today, tribalism even from people of the same tribe is real too. What we need is to educate and not instigate.
I had Igbo friends growing up, I was the only Yoruba girl in the midst of Igbo girls. Did they make fun of me? Sometimes but it wasn’t out of malice. We lived, we loved and we are still very close. I have had a friend’s mum tell me “haaa omo ondo ni e? Mi o mo ooo, a kin ba ondo sore” meaning – I’m from Ondo? She didn’t know…. If she had, she won’t let her daughter befriend me cos they don’t like Ondo people, Ondo and Ijebu don’t mix… I was shocked.
She went ahead and said “You Ondo people are wicked”. My friend is from Ijebu ooooo, we are both Yoruba girls and that statement was made by her mum http://www.bellanaija.com/2015/04/07/toke-makinwa-talks-about-being-the-only-yoruba-girl-in-the-midst-of-igbo-friends-experiences-with-tribalism/ This is for those who only see Igbo issues. Remove the log in your eye before removing the speck in mine. |

Politics › Re: 10 Countries That Are Smaller Than Biafra Yet Better Than Nigeria. by MrAnalyst: 9:04pm On Nov 26, 2015 |
Pavore9: Human capital development is what really counts because it decides what a Country would look like. Take for example, Timor-Leste that is about the combined size of Abia, Anambra and Imo with a population of about 1.5million people and has unfettered access to the sea but has the lowest Human Development Index and the highest Human Poverty Index in Asia.
One can have a Country as big as the U.S but very unproductive while a Country that is as small as the size of Lagos will be a dream place to migrate to. The quality of the human mind determines the development of an area. Well said |
