I am a proud son of Ohaji Egbema. And I most state clearly that what these protesters listed as demands are nothing compared to what is lacking in Ohaji Egbema. Aside being the reason IMO State under NDDC, we are also de food basket of Imo state side grains, most of the common food produces within IMO comes from Ohaji Egbema / Uguta.
The state of things in de said LGA & Oguta is unprintable. Many communities in Oguta/ Ohaji Egbema never enjoyed electricity for a day, in this 21st century that Nigeria govt is considering selling power to other neighbouribg countries... Without shame, the standard of living down in these areas is unspeakable
It's unfortunate that even Imo state government don't care about Oguta and Ohaji Egbeme.
Oil spillage is destroying our lands and the oil companies don't care.
The only time de State Govt remembers us is during elections. We have Adapam, one of the biggest palm plantation in Nigeria, we have IMO State poly ' presently University of Agriculture, we have Oil, we in to agriculture full time and de only thing they state government does is to milk us for the betterment of other LGAs..
