vodutive: I wouldn't say it's ignorance. If she's ignorant of the law, are the lawyers filing the "case" also ignorant? |

I've been thinking it was a joke that she was born again. Now I know better. Glory be to God. |

Beremx:As far as I'm concerned, the way Buhari responded jokingly, is the best way to respond to what the woman said. She was wrong to have done what she did. And you even want the children to join her to do that, too? 27 Likes 2 Shares |

On a lighter note.... Nigerians and news repetition. You'll still see news such as "pictures of released Chibok girls inside military aircraft", "Chibok girls as they alight from aircraft", "5 of the Chibok girls seen crying". You can add yours. ![]() 41 Likes 2 Shares |

blueto:It's not a reproach; it's about doing something worthwhile. Remember the cliché: "rather than giving me fish continually, teach me how to fish"? I'm just opining that they do something that has longterm effects. Glo is a very masses-friendly company, no doubt, but they need to up their games to stay in the competition. |

I agree with the poster above. Glo needs to include students scholarship in their CSR. Campus credits or data is too fleeting to be considered as one. All in all, they are very responsible: they sponsor our Super Eagles, CAF Awards and a host of others. |

That was expected. I knew deep within me that that cannot be the end of the case. The people who congratulated them were too hasty to have done that. These two people need to be used as examples for other politicians. Forgery - anywhere in the world - is a grievous crime. 1 Like |

I like your courage, Ms NgeneUkwenu. Though I wouldn't say it's only the Igbos that are tacitly supporting corruption, but it's clear they are the ring leaders. The only thing that I don't agree with in these DSS raids, is that they were done in the night, but who knows that may have been necessary security-wise. DSS have come up to say they went for the operation with search warrants and you see some gullible people still unduly pouring vituperations on Buhari. According to some, DSS should always arrest people by either inviting them over or nothing else. They were looking for evidence! Immediately you invite them, isn't it not for the suspects to go back to their house and do away with those pieces of evidence they know you're coming for? 4 Likes 2 Shares |

For those doubting the truth or otherwise of this, this is a corroborating link from Premium Times: http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/212351-exclusive-untold-story-sss-raids-judges-homes-abuja-six-states.html I've always had suspicion about that judge. Just a few days before Jonathan handed over, he threw EFCC case against Timipre Sylva despite all the barrage of evidence EFCC presented. Why the FG should ever lose a corruption case beats my imagination. Imagine $300,000 found in his home, aside naira. 2 Likes |

In as much as I respect Tinubu's political clout, we must not overstretch this. One of the things that easily bring down a nation is godfatherism. Imagine what great danger it portends for one man to be deciding who becomes governor in Lagos, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Ogun, etc. That was what was obtaining in Edo state before Oshiomole took a stand against them. And godfatherism easily grows the monster of corruption as you'll have to continually take part of the public funds to oil the hands of your "father". |

This is great, but I have my reservations about the timing for these arrests. Why should the supposed incoming CJN be included? The Judiciary has been very corrupt, but this govt too has been too lenient on them. Why should judges not be tried speedily when they're caught red-handed in bribe, but simply suspended or even transfered to another location? To go and continue his heist, isn't it? During the election petitions, many judges were busted by the EFCC of having collected bribes to twist justice, but they were only removed and given a slap on their wrist. Isn't that absurd? Why are they treating them as if they were constitutionally immune from prosecution? So many questions. 7 Likes |

Ranchhoddas: What criteria do you use to determine whether a judgement fits a crime or not? Do you know the hundreds of people armed robbers kill every year here in Nigeria alone? God is a just Judge - that's why He draws long rope for sinners to repent and seem to turn blind eyes when mere men say grievous words against Him. |
![]() |
Ranchhoddas:You blame the mob because they don't have the legal right to punish him the way they are doing. But if a judge sentenced a thief to death by hanging or whatever way he deems fit, would you still blame the judge? |

If Mr Femi thinks the parable of rich man and Lazarus shouldn't be taken literally, what does he think of the book of Revelation where it was clearly stated times without number, about the fact of the everlasting nature of Hell? His opinion about the way and manner God chose to mete out judgement - cannot change the mind of God. God is not just a God of mercy and great love, He's also a God who is very concerned about justice. And because He created us in His image, we share that quality too. A year or two ago, a US judge sentenced a rapist to 1000 years of imprisonment. That was how the judge was convinced justice could be clearly seen to be done. Let's come home to Nigeria.... There's a probability that you have at least one time been disappointed on the slow pace of govt's pursuit of fighting corruption and then commented, "How many corrupt politicians have they jailed since all these brouhaha of fighting corruption?" You're so eager to see justice done, not because you derive any joy from people being jailed. That's God's nature in you showing forth. No matter how people castigate it, the Word of God say it so clearly and that's what every Christian should believe. 2 Likes |

Why are his lawyers not allowing the case to proceed speedily so that he can be set free if he's innocent? They're only compounding his woes of staying in jail for a longer time when the trial has not even started. Do they think even if a South easterner is brought to hear the case he'll simply close his eyes and tell him he's innocent and have him discharged? That won't happen. I'm not saying he would be convicted by all means, but I don't see him getting free. If Buhari could rebuff all entreaties to intervene in the case of the nation's Number Three citizen, what chance does Kanu stand? 4 Likes 1 Share |

The North are already strategizing for 2019 elections and our Igbo brethren are busy running up and down shouting "Give us Biafra or...". See Atiku, Shettima, Lamido, etc. preparing grounds for themselves not minding the fact that "their brother" is currently at the helm of affairs. Don't believe the self-inflicted lie that you are a second class citizen in your own nation. Far from that! Rise up and stand to be reckoned with. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

If charm, miracle, etc, are not real, how do these things take place. My people, stop sounding like the deceptive whiteman who tells you these things are not real, but goes ahead to make movies out of them. If these don't happen where did he get the concept of X Men and other other similar movies' from? Let's stop deceiving ourself. We say charm are not real, but people kidnap others to use them for ritualistic sacrifice (and it happens in the US as well). Are they simply doing that for nothing or for fun? 5 Likes |

Ihejirika's army was having the upper hand over BH before he was removed; but there were several extra judicial killings and massacre. I remember when BH members were suspected to have fled to a particular village, and the army levelled the village, killing innocent people in the process. Yes, he was that brutal. In summary, he was a great general. |
