12Monkeys:That means you still don't get the point of the writeup. He's talking about Nigeria's presidential system and its veil of treating politicians as idols. He's not venting any displeasure against any particular president, and neither am I trying to absolve them of blames. |

Some of the comments above smack of outright bigotry or even hatred for the person of Omojuwa and by extension the current president. Is this not sheer foolishness? The young man is simply bringing up an intellectual discourse whose subject is not targeted or limited to the current occupant of Aso Rock and people are tagging it as crossing over to "wailers" and even insulting him too. Why will some people just choose to fill themselves with hate? 1 Like |

Seun:That's purely a lie. God's existence is verifiable. God has not left us in darkness about that even though we may not be able to have answers to all questions about life and the sufferings in the world. Did this grand masterpiece called the earth - just create itself? The presence of any structure point to the irrefutability of a builder. And for the universe, it's God. God, in His infinite mercy, has several times opened Himself to be "seen" by many atheists, agnostics - leading to their conversion. It's foolishness of the highest order for anyone to dispute the possibility of God's being. Those who do this, the Bible calls them fools. Why? Because it's so crystal-clear even to the blind - that there's God. The theory of evolution and all other jibes, don't just add up. They contradict themselves every year and God stands tall above them. 2 Likes |

I'm sure the day Tompolo is arrested, they'll still come out to deny that he has been arrested. For the good people of Nigeria, I expect you not to be surprised - that is how terrorists lie. Shekau continued to deny NA's strides until now that it has become clear that BH has been confined to the dustbin of history. When they were recently bombarded in Arepo, they said it was women and children that were killed, even after we saw video showing them running helter sketter in their camps trying to mount anti-aircraft guns. They will surely taste the bitterness and sorrow they so cherish to inflict on others. 13 Likes |

I don't agree with some of his criticisms sometimes, but the man is certainly not a hypocrite. You asked why he didn't criticise the former govt... I think that's because nobody criticizes his own self - he has been part of PDP and he'll be shooting himself in the foot criticizing it and expect to become a Senator under its platform. The difference between Ben Bruce and the likes of Ayo Fayose and Femi Kayode is that Bruce does his own criticism constructively and give thumbs-up when necessary (he's praised this govt several times before). Let us not be surprised if in weeks' time he has some reason to criticise the govt - that's normal. You don't have to be anybody's puppet. And Dele Momodu does this too frequently - it shows maturity. |

I pity those scavengers. But people used to say that Nigerian army don't have good battlefield kit and heavy weaponry. Keep up the good job, guys. 2 Likes |

CSTR12: Sorry to disappoint you, your country is not as important/powerful as you're trying to project it. An "ordinary" cab driver hacked Secretary Hillary's email server the other time. 86 Likes 6 Shares |

Laptops already infested with myriads of surveillance and spy softwares. I'm sure EFCC will throw them to the garbage dump immediately they leave. If the story is true, that's a classical insult to Nigeria... US that could install surveillance microphone into rats to send to Russia for spying, this is too foolish of them to do at this time. We can't fall for this. 327 Likes 23 Shares |

DSS performance so far has been stellar. I hope they continue the good work. Pls, help us arrest the self-thought invincible cum invisible Tompolo. Let's show him the he's just good in noise making. |

Stop looking for cheap pity. Even America has slums... and Lagos, as developed as it's, has similar schools like this. Are there no model schools in the Niger Delta that floor some high-brow schools in Lagos? Niger Delta, it's time to rise up from these self pity and excuses. Some parts of Rivers and Cross Rivers, for example, compare favourably with places like VI, Lekki, Maitama, Asokoro. Stop these unnecessary pity party. |

Fani Kayode is a classic example of a hypocrite. He talks as if he has the fear of God, but it's all pretense. Can he categorically say that he rightly married that lady he's currently living with. Was this not the same way he was bashing Jonathan from all sides until he was bribed to go back to PDP and then suddenly turned around accusing the APC and labelling them fictitiously? May God deliver this man. 105 Likes 5 Shares |

Kwankwaso should be probed. He's a suspect. He might be using his rift with the Governor to cause all these palava to innocent people. |

Such a loss to the husband and the young children. Islam is a violent, killing religion - there are no two ways about that. These are the same people who shout at the top of their voices that they believe in Jesus Christ and that they even honor Him more than some Christians. My fellows brothers who are Muslim, you need to have a rethink. Who are you deceiving? Why does shedding blood so make you people happy? |

The OP said he will include picture as if it was going to be the picture of his father whose leg was amputated, but alas it was Tompolo whom we've been seeing and people are still commenting as if there's anything new from yesterday's story. The lie and deception should have made people to abandon this thread, reasonably. 5 Likes |

Where did those statements mention being in talks with militants? And some have even taken it further by mentioning "scavengers". Utter rubbish. They're economic terrorists and deserve to be treated as such while the FG in all sincerity need to put them to shame by running a totally inclusive govt that will shut the cries and hues of northernizatiom. 2 Likes 1 Share |

The commissioner of police and the minister of FCT should be help responsible for this nonsensical rubbish. This is a clear case of "Buhari, our brother is in power, we're untouchable". This is utterly despicable. |

I won't be surprised if they have bugged his phone for spying. America and spying are like.... |

Falana says it - no matter whose ox is gored, take it or leave it. During the el-zakzaky fiasco, he spoke out vehemently against it. And he did condemn it when fuel subsidy was stopped some months ago and a host of other criticisms against the FG. Unfortunately whenever he does this, some people choose to see it as joining "the wailing gang", rather than seeing rightly as being open-minded that it's. Being a supporter does not muzzle your mouth from criticizing when things go wrong. 5 Likes |

Please let's not allow tribalism kill us. I'm sure many of us were expecting to see names like Chuk... or Ade.... The truth is, we need to know that the north is very diverse ethnicity-wise. Someone bearing names such as Aliyu could be a Hausa man from Kano, a Fulani man from Sokoto, an Ebira or Igala from Kogi, a Kanuri from Borno, a Yoruba from Kwara, etc - all in the north. There are at least 50 languages spoken in Adamawa state alone, not to talk of the Nupes from Niger or Kwara. Let's stop lumping the north as one. It's possible that Buhari has not even appointed up to 18 Hausas since he took over. However, when you hear names like Chukwuka, you're 100% sure he's Igbo unlike in the north. Or when hear names such as Ayokunle, he would be a Yoruba person. Please let's try to understand this very important truth. 41 Likes 7 Shares |

hahn: There's nothing wrong in what the man has said - be he a real man of God or not. What those touts are doing are condemnable in every respect. Men of God never ignored BH problem. They all laboured in prayer about it. It was Nigerians' collective prayers that turned the tide against them - beginning Feb last year till now. You sounded like you're really happy about the evil works they're doing. That they have not begun any major military operations against them does not mean they've succeeded in cowing us into submission. It's still an answer to prayer that peace returns without collateral civilian damage. |

Unfortunately the remnants of BH seem to have relocated to Niger Republic because Nigeria's territory have been made uncomfortable for them to thrive in. Or the citizens of Niger have formed their own chapter there. Look very well at the pics, you'll notice that they don't look the usual Hausa-Kanuri-Fulani that you know. It's Nigerien who are fond of tieing turbans around their head & have some resemblance of Indians . 2 Likes |

Sincerely hoping this crap doesn't get pushed to FP. The scavengers have been the ones killing policemen, invading Lagos and Ogun and killing hapless people and coming up with different names all in a bid to scare the government. Their time of repercussions is fast approaching. Shekau 'made more mouth' than they're currently making, even to the extent of saying that they would be the ones to give amnesty to Jonathan; but where's he today? An 'ordinary' 6-week military onslaught dislodged him and his group and never to rise again. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

VeniceTown: And how do you define being 'good' ? The hard truth is, no man can be good enough, without having the fear of God. And my Bible tells me that the fear of God means to depart from evil and sin. Even the op, rexericx, who mentioned the fear of God, will be guilty himself if he has been sleeping with that lady before marriage. Because in the eyes of God that act is evil. 2 Likes |

Hear him "I accept all the charges and submit to the judgement," Ling said in his final statement. He was even thanking the court that sentenced him to life in prison. And I'm cock-sure nobody will mobilize any protest on his behalf, saying 'He's our son, stop persecuting him'. May Nigerians be truly free from this blindfold of ethnicity. Now is the golden time to break free. 2 Likes |

A common sense reply back to the writer: The problem we're currently facing didn't begin with the current administration. Before GEJ left, power generation had dipped to nearly 0MW and the pain of crass embezzlement and low oil prices was already taking its toll on Nigerians with more than 25 states unable to pay workers' salaries. It was when Buhari came in that states were given billions of naira in loans. Buhari also paid nearly N500bn being a backlog of what GEJ admin owed to oil marketers. If this problem had begun a year after Buhari came in, I'd have had every cause to blame him, but not so. The problem was already on before he came in. 2 Likes |

And they're the same people protecting those marauders. Okowa, for an example, is a right hand man of Tompolo the devious and crooked man who has been bombing pipelines and at the same time writing letters to the president to protest his "innocence". The traps shall surely catch them. 40 Likes |
