The title should have been 'Buhari Breaks Fast With Traditional Rulers' not mentioning one king particularly and adding others as attachment. Please, good Yoruba people, stop idolizing a mortal man. I like him, but the level of adulation is getting over the top. 1 Like |

They're only trying to put fear in the heart of the populace. I can categorically tell you that it's still the same scavengers coming up with different names every other week threatening hailstones. They're trying to give the impression that there are so many groups and that the army would be overwhelmed trying to fight on many different fronts. NDA=JNDLF=every other militant group you've ever heard of. Tompolo is certainly tired being in the creek and he's doing everything possible to get himself out through negotiations. They're simply confused that no one has come to bribe them to stop. |

How did this man ever become a governor? Is this governance? While the likes of Ambode is signing multi-billion naira contracts here and there, this man is busy making mockery of the Office of the Governor. 195 Likes 13 Shares |

googlepikins:And Jimoh Ibrahim is from South south too? AMCON is currently doing housecleaning operations. Take it or leave it. 35 Likes 6 Shares |

For those shouting witch-hunt and persecution, didn't you read that AMCON did same to Jimoh Ibrahima few days ago? AMCON is a saviour for the Nigerian economy - you may not understand their job. |

Fake news as usual. What's biafra herald ![]() So many distortions there even if Jerry Gana attended that so-called anniversary. |

Some people are certainly going to fault this appointment. 'Why should it be a northerner?', they'll query forgetting that when a northerner left Federal Civil Service Commission, a southerner took over. |

Those militants are all cowards and empty chest beaters. They will not succeed to have their way. When the heat comes on them, there'll be no where to run to. They've only been thriving on sheer propaganda and lies. |

Instead of him to quietly return the money and stave off this emergency heart or body attack,he's busy forming innocence. They now know what it means for petty thieves to be in jail for countless number of years awaiting trial. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Tompolo and his criminal gang will taste it soon. We're fast crossing the Rubicon. Their ranting and false confidence must be shattered - and that without remedy. 1 Like |

It's same so-called avengers doing all these things. They're trying to create an impression that the military will be overwhelmed trying to fight so many groups at the same time, when it's all one group, bringing different fake generals and spewing trash. I'm sure the Nigerian military knows more than this. They'll taste the bitter pills of their stubbornness and craftiness. |

There was once a virile, sturdy, barracks-seizing boko haram. It's a good news. I'm praying same thing applies for the avengers (they deserve no capitalization just as bh) soonest. 10 Likes 1 Share |

I think this ones should merge with the Mangrove Delta as a civilian JTF like we are having in the north east. That'll be a game changer. Since they also know the in and out of the creeks like the "avengers" are banking on, success is assured. |

I wonder why my brothers from the East will always be playing the victim card when it comes to herdsmen. Will a Fulani man do so ( crying and wailing) if an Igbo, Yoruba, Edo, Efik, Ibibio, etc were to be posing a threat to him in his native state of Sokoto or Katsina? What are your vigilante groups and your "local police" force doing? Why can't your governors come hard on these marauders, just like Fayose did, banning them from his state? 23 Likes 1 Share |

Nice one, but we're not just interested in getting back the monies. A strong message to them in terms of imprisonment for at least 10 years aside returning the monies - will act as a deterrent to present and future officials. Can you all see the "Change"? It's crystal-clear. 1 Like |

A crime was committed in Kaduna, but the killers were intelligently traced to Ebonyi, but that fake NDA would be ranting that Nigerian Army is poor in intelligence gathering. The way Nigerian security agencies arrest people in state A after they committed the crime in state Q always leaves me with awe and deep respect for them. They're not in any way dull or backwards as those militants are trying to brainwash their supporters to believe. I sincerely believe that NA is a great army - any day any time. |

For those who said Buhari canceled the Ogoni visit because of the foolhardy threat from the so-called Avengers, have you now seen the simple reason he didn't go? 1 Like |

I can confidently say that the collective and individual prayers of Nigerians are working. They're already becoming polarized and losing morale. We say "thank You God". Though I've always been an advocate of both military and 'negotiation solution' to the problem, whatever way God chooses is perfect. 1 Like |

Op, I sincerely hope that you are safe wherever you are hiding, but can you see what the fruit of your tacit cheering on of the Avengers has brought? You now seem to know how precious life is - suddenly. When you safely come back from this, will your tone not change? 30 Likes 4 Shares

I think this people want to turn Nairaland to a garbage dump for their trash. All the same, they're are certainly biting more than they can chew. In due time, vomiting it might effectively choke them. As far as I pray for peace, I know military response might be route God may choose to bring it about. 46 Likes 4 Shares |

What Buhari is doing is a tactical calculation. He's doing it to rev up sympathy towards the FG so that when major military assault start against these agents of evil we'll have no mind to castigate the govt in any way. And I bet you it'll work. When Iraq invaded Kuwait in the 1990s, the US did not hastily deploy its military. It began going round the world sourcing for both moral and financial support to wage a brutal counteroffensive against the Iraqis. But before then, the Iraqi military were totally in control of the whole of Kuwait. Less than 3 weeks after US and its allies swooped on them, the destruction of Iraq military was unquantifiable. Same thing shall apply here. 1 Like |

You shouldn't expect them to agree, should you? So all these people above me, you're saying the NA is lying because the militants denied having some of them arrested? Was that not how BH was continually denying till it has now become obvious that they're now being confined to the dustbin of history? One thing is certain: very soon, this group will be decapitated. Their pride will be crushed and left gasping for breath. Amen. 1 Like |

Yes!!! That's right. The FG has been patient enough. Now is the time to show them that the sovereignty of this nation cannot be toyed with. Just imagine that we'd chosen to dialogue with BH, we would have had to be earmarking billions of naira every year for amnesty for both real and 'fake' terrorists. But BH is having it hot now and we're even turning down their overtures for peace. Same should apply for these prideful militants. 53 Likes 6 Shares |

I can't help but shake my head at all these "commenters" saying that the Nigerian Army had lied just because the so-called Avengers denied been arrested. Do you want them to own up that they've suffered some loss? One thing is certain: very soon, this group will be decapitated. Their pride will be crushed and left gasping for breath. Amen. |

Jesus Christ NEVER went to Hell as punishment for the sins of the world. He went there as a victory over the power of death. And people don't go to Hell because they've to pay or atone for their sins - people go to Hell for blatantly refusing to turn from their sins. You only become a beneficiary of the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ after you accept it and turn from your sins. Unfortunately some people think that Christ having died for our sins gives them the go-ahead to continue sinning. Very wrong. Rather, it's what even empowers you to live above sins. 3 Likes |

Very wrong reasoning. Faulty philosophy. I'm an ardent supporter of this government but I'll never buy into that narrative of "the people he's appointing are qualified". Are qualified people only sourced from the North? What's happening is blatant abuse of power of discretion. We know that Nigeria's psyche of "they've appointed my tribesman" is over the top, the solution is not by appointing people lopsidedly especially when those people are from the current President's region or ethnic group or religion. 6 Likes |

JonSnow: It's people like you that defend ultra-violent criminals bent on annihilating Nigeria if they're given the "siddon look" approach but at the same time want the government to religiously arrest them without even hurting their nails. Does that make sense to you ![]() 5 Likes 1 Share |
