Career › Re: He Wants To Quit His Job As A Chemical Scientist For Music.Pls Advice Him! by MrDoGood(m): 2:50pm On Jul 20, 2015 |
Adultnextdoor: Happy sunday.....
it's true that i get paid very big for working as a chemical scientist and i've always been an expert in science-related courses but music has always been the dream for me right from childhood, i've always wanted to be an Highlife singer......
At this point in my life as a youngman, i have so much money due to the fact that i worked for a prestigeous petro-chemical company in italy for two years before moving down to Nigeria.
I currently work for a petroleum company as the Asst. Supervisor of the production department and Supervisor of the quality control section, this September will make it my second year of serving this company........
Now with this little achievement, i still get the strong urge to follow my music career.....to be sincere, it is the main reason i relocated back to Nigeria,This September, i will be resigning and i want to know if i'm making the right decision.....
pls you can share if you've got any advice....bless!! Follow your heart. Try and listen to the music of FAME titled follow your heart. He featured terry da rapman and erigga. |
Career › Re: The Ladies In My Office Are Milking Me Dry. by MrDoGood(m): 2:47pm On Jul 20, 2015 |
7Alexander: I work in a not-too-big establishment that is owned by my brother-in-law, we have a staff of 7 ladies, 4 guys including myself.
The problem i have is that these ladies whose job is largely secretarial thinks that given my connection with the CEO, that i am financially privileged, now, i'm just managing myself, albeit comfortably, but, there is no time i can have a single conversation with these ladies without me hearing something like, 'find something for me nah', 'hope you will find me weekend money', 'you be oga nah, your own better' and stuffs like that.
Recently, one of them celebrated her birthday at the office but brought no drinks, during the celebration, she blatantly asked me to bring #5000 to support her, i was like what? The whole thing is pissing me off.
I remember a day i told one of them to buy me sachet water, she asked me how an oga like me should be drinking sachet water and not a bottled water.
The new and most annoying trend now is that anytime i send them to get me food, which is sold between 250 and 350, they either do not get me any change or they tell me that the food vendor is owing them, and we know the rest.
Please nairalanders how best do i express my displeasure to them without being petty, while also sustaining their goodwill? Don't always smile towards them. The moment you see them, just start complaining about you being broke. May that not be your portion in jesus name. Then ask them to borrow you some money. By the time you do this for at least three weeks, they will understand. Unless they no get head. |

Even my smaller fridge dey vex! My friend, Buhari has no hand in the sudden upgrade of electricity. He has done nothing yet. All he does since he won is to tour round the world. |

Politics › Re: THROWBACK: How Gowon Declined U.S. President’s Invitation To Visit America. by MrDoGood(m): 9:19pm On Jul 19, 2015 |
ayindejimmy: This comparison is not apt. Gowon was a dictator that had just succeeded in executing a bloody coup. It would be foolhardy for him to leave his newly found comfort in Nigeria and travel to a principled and democratic United States. Only God knows what they had in Stock for him then.
However, Buhari... Buhari is like a new bride to Obama. Hear this :
"Obama who sent his congratulatory message in a press statement obtained by our correspondent in New York, also promised that his administration would maintain healthier and stronger ties with the government of Nigeria."
http://nigeriannewspapers.1push.com.ng/obama-congratulates-president-buhari-promises-stronger-ties-with-nigeria/
So the cases are quite different. This time the United States President Is meeting a refined democrat Your head is correct. But still, we're smarter than them. |

To be sincere, we're more intelligent than Americans. Read the two letters ya self and think with ya brain. Who's more educated between the then head of state of our dear beloved country Nigeria and the president of the United States of America. These whites have been trying to use our head but we're smarter |

sukkot: ok we hear you boss. what is your business about ? and please note that it is a honorable thing to carry umbrella for an elder I'm not against helping an old man. I'm a multi business man. 1: I sell building materials 2: into land and properties 3: into transportation biz. I.e I buy buses and keke for people and they pay %180-200 of the original purchased amount. But on installment basis. 4: super agent to bet9ja and merrybet. Looking forward to add esanbet. But still looking forward to learning more from Don like you. Multiple source of income is the best. No matter how small the business is, it has a way in saving you from falling financially. sukkot: you are a big liar. you have no workers. with your attitude i doubt you even have a job. i know your type. you come online to act like some saint but you are very over-bearing in real life. it takes an over-bearing arrogant pompous person to see someone hold an umbrella for a 72 year old man and have problems with it. in real life you will be the type to have your workers, if you had any, shine your shoes and wash your car. so stop lying here. you dont have a generous spirit. you have a wicked spirit. it takes a wicked person to see such a mundane act as holding an umbrella for an old man as something to critic. you are wicked. you have no workers and if you do you treat them as slaves. i can sense your character through your post Why are you crying? Please take it easy on yourself so you don't start feeling headache. I don't need to convince you neither will i have anything in return even if you believe me or not. My workers are my employees and not my slaves. Do you know the joy and fun in it when your workers see you as their friend and not a "BOSS"? They can easily tell you anything. Try it and see but that doesn't mean the business rules and policies has to be taken for granted. |

sukkot: do you know how much he is getting paid to cover buharis head with the umbrella. thats his job. what are you too proud to hold the umbrella for someone ? it is a source of pride and dignity to be able to hold an umbrella for a man like buhari. i will happily hold the umbrella over a man like buhari. in this life we are called to serve. the meek and humble and lowly will inherit the kingdom of God not the proud. Bro I'm not proud, but that's not just my calling. What happened to buhari's hand? Forget to fact that he's the president. Someone should also feed him as well. I would rather cover kids with my umbrella than a full grown man. And beside, the rain isn't much Can't you see Amechi and Co inside walking without umbrella? My friend, I don't need such pay. I don't even allow my workers to carry my laptop bag let alone covering me with an umbrella. I have my hands. Thank you. |
