Ese is still insisting that she was never abducted and that she and Yinusa have been "friends" long before she followed him to Kano. She also insist that she is 17 and not 14 as her parents are claiming. Meanwhile she will be handed over to her parents today at a press conference which will have the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, in attendance.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/3447251_image_jpeg9f360c5ab7736510df54c882e9dbf188

As a minister in the Federal Cabinet of Nigeria signing a bilateral agreement on behalf of Nigeria in Qatar, tradition demands that She(Kemi Adeosun) is accorded the same respect as the President as her presence carries as much authority with the President.

Under no circumstances should a person of her capacity be subjected to conform to the cultural/religious practice of the host country.

Kemi Adeosun is a Nigerian Minister visiting Qatar, she is a foreigner, therefore she is not bound by Qatari laws or culture which can't be enforced on her.

It is utmost disrespect for her person and Nigeria as a nation to see her subjected to covering her hair to please Qatari officials. This attempt of cowardice to Qatari Islamic custom denigrates the office of the Minister of Finance and totally against Global Practice.

Madam Kemi Adeosun, next time you find yourself in an Arab nation, refuse vehemently to cover your hair, their laws are not binding on you.You are their visitor and your person must be respected.
PMB doesn't like that woman at all, he has threatened to sack her once for advising him not to sign a document with Saudi which the minister thinks not in best interest of Nigeria.

Anambra State
It is a known fact that Anambra State is one of the most ecologically damaged states in Nigeria. Erosion has rendered many homeless and made areas of fertile land useless while still threatening to eat-up the 4844km2 area of the states.

Over the years, huge financial resources have been sunk into erosion management and control in Anambra and there is still no abatement for the menace in the state. Anambra is 2nd with respect to population density in Nigeria. With population and erosion rapidly expanding, a future might exist in which they would not be enough land to cater for the expanding population.

At present, most of the erosion management has focused largely on post-erosion management, which does not recover lost land or properties as it mostly stops erosion site from spreading. We need to change approach and lay more emphasis on pre-erosion management. Most of the factors, which affect erosion in the state are natural and look insurmountable, but with dedication it is largely controllable.

In pre-erosion management the erosion is tackled head on before it even occurs and hence easily averted. Anambra has to invest funds in reading and controlling the early stage of erosion and monitoring each site and checking up any signs of splash, sheet and rill erosion quickly.

Abia State
......Abia is one of the states that is seriously devastated by gully erosion and the environmental concern has made successive administrations in the state to solicit the assistance of the Federal Government in curbing the ecological menace. The state has always been striving to X-ray the ecological problem to the appropriate authorities at any given opportunity......

Imo State
Many residents watch the earth move, pulling down homes, cutting off roads and leaving them in despair. OKODILI NDIDI reports on the ravages of erosion in Imo State

It sometimes looks like a horror movie in slow motion. Right before their eyes, roads and farmlands are being washed away. Some communities are being cut off, houses buried in red earth. In some places, residents of threatened homes peer down in horror on the huge gulf created by that seven-letter word: erosion.

Most communities in Imo State are coping rather badly with the phenomenon. Displaced residents have been suking, unsure when the terror will end.

http://thenationonlineng.net/the-rage-of-erosion-in-imo/

Enugu State
Enugu State Governor Sullivan Chime has said that the state has the highest number of erosion sites in Nigeria. Governor Chime said this through his deputy, Rev. Raphael Ifeanyichukwu Nwoye, in an address at the launch of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP).
He said efforts by state and local government areas as well as constituencies to control gully erosion, before now were at best partially or temporarily effective for reasons that included improper road designs, inadequate drainage systems and poor solid waste management.
Chime said other reasons include destructive and unsustainable land use practices that removed protective vegetation cover, over grazing, deforestation, cultivation of marginal lands and uncontrolled mining for building materials and climate change challenges

Ebonyi State
Ebonyi State and the Federal Government have teamed up to tackle erosion, perhaps the worst environmental threat in the region.

The collaboration is considered a strong step forward by the Dave Umahi administration because erosion ravages most parts of the state, especially Afikpo North, Afikpo South and Ohaozara local government areas.

PoliticsRe: Ifeanyi Ubah calls for Adeosun, Emefiele to resign by MrGerald(m): 11:50am On Feb 26, 2016
LordAdam:
Is Dangote not a Nigerian? Only Dangote alone is responsible for a third of the value of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. If his businesses collapse, so does Nigeria. Or don't you know Dangote is the second largest employer of labor after the Federal Government?

You do not strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. When Dangote was investing in building cement factories in Nigeria with the profit from his imports, where was LaFarge and the others that are still importing cement? Those factories employ Nigerians, remit 30% of their profits to the Federal Government and sustain the economy. If you want to find a scapegoat it is Ifeanyi Ubah himself. Where was he when Forte oil offered to sell petrol cheaply? If he had joined, we wouldn't be having all this subsidy and scarcity bruohaha now.

The guy is an attention-seeker. He has a lot of faulty debts and knows his fortune will be greatly depleted if the naira falls more. That is why he is shouting from the roof tops. I'm not against him proffering solutions. But he should be constructive about it. Read the OP writeup again. He did not offer any solution or constructive criticism. He just asked for their resignation. Haba! Na so dem dey sack people. Nigerians and blame mentality. He conveniently shielded PMB who should take the most blame and called for the sack of Emefiele that has been sustaining all manner of attacks for following PMB's instructions and Adeosun that has not even received budget for her ministry.

You reason am na, all of una no get conscience sef!

PoliticsRe: Ifeanyi Ubah calls for Adeosun, Emefiele to resign by MrGerald(m): 11:09am On Feb 26, 2016
LordAdam:
This man should jor shut up. What does he want Emefiele to do? Does he want Emefiele to print dollar. PMB said he should not devalue the naira. He has done all he can to stabilize Naira with the CBN monetary policies.

What the Nigerian economy needs is good fiscal policy from PMB, Osinbajo and Adeosun. You can't blame Adeosun because she was appointed in November and there are indications that PMB is running a one-man show. Also, the budget has not been passed so there's nothing she can do until the budget is passed and funds are available for constitutional spending.

All the blame should go to the junketeer dullard currently praying for Allah to cure him of his docility and being clueless in Mecca. When the economy was still manageable and he could have swiftly assembled an economic team and enacted good fiscal policies to quickly turn things around, he was busy doing honeymoon by visiting countries he had never had a chance to visit all through his life and romancing with career civil servants. Now he wants his equally clueless, noisome, daft buffoons called ministers to perform magic after creating mess for them.

He should hastily come back and pack his sh*t. Na im want presidency. Let him do his work or resign and go back to daura to drink kunu.

As for Osinbajo, I don't know if I should blame him or let him be. He is jor a mere commissioner. At least when Sambo was there we know he was occupying space to pacify the North and GEJ was doing both work of President and Vice President (after all he had experience with the latter). Osinbajo is worse. A professor, SAN, minister, and erudite technocrat reduced to messenger and Minister of State of Information, assisting Lai to spread lies and propaganda.

-Lord
He's saying that they should carry out practical aspect everything should not be politics, he knows what he's saying, do you know how much CBN has been releasing to dangote and their likes in dollars which in turn caused the fall in naira and economic hardship to nigerians just because few people want to monopolize everything in this country in their bid to become the world's richest?
