A woman prison officer who swapped sexy letters and phone calls with three inmates was jailed for 12 months today. Zanib Khan, 27, had ‘illicit relationships’ with two drug dealers incarcerated at HMP Brixton and a third prisoner at Ford open prison in Sussex.
Khan shared nearly ten hours of intimate calls with the men on a secret phone she hid from her prison bosses and her personal phone.
Police also found sexually explicit love letters from prisoners at her home she smuggled out of jail stuffed inside her uniform.
Khan had relationships with Timothy Iyegbe (nigerian??), Daryl Smith and Jason Graham, between March and November 2011.
Police believe she was close to four other prisoners over three years.
Khan, who joined the prison service to pay for a law qualification, also covered up the fact her father and her boyfriend were both serving prisoners when she took up her post.
Judge David Higgins today jailed Khan for 12 months for what he described as ‘deplorable and deeply antisocial behaviour’.

The Ebonyi State House of Assembly yesterday June 5th suspended one of its members, Lilian Igwe, for allegedly getting drunk and acting inappropriately.
The lawmaker was allegedly seen on several occasions drinking herself into a state of stupor and vomiting on herself.
“The House has been brought to ridicule by the member representing Ivo State Constituency, Lilian Igwe," Blasé Orji, the member representing Afikpo South East said while moving the motion, on Tuesday, to suspend Igwe (PDP, Ivo), "She does not only engage in excessive alcoholic drinking, she also boards commercial tricycles, popularly called KEKE NAPEP, to the House, thereby not carrying herself as an honourable member. Mr Speaker, based on this therefore, I move a motion that Hon Lilian Igwe be suspended from the House."
The motion was seconded by Christian Ursulor, (PDP, Ezza South).
And when the House Speaker, Chukwuma Nwazunku, put it to question, members unanimously adopted it.
Reacting to the development, Igwe, a lawyer, who was absent from the plenary, debunked the allegations. "Only the members’ imaginations played out the petty behaviour they accused me of," she said.

Kelvin Santos, A two-year-old boy, sat up in his coffin and asked for water before laying back down again lifeless, according to a Brazilian news website.
In a case that seems almost too incredible to be true, ORM claimed that Kelvin Santos stopped breathing during treatment for pneumonia at a hospital in Belem, northern Brazil. He was declared dead at 7.40pm on Friday and his body was handed over to his family in a plastic bag.
The child's devastated family took him home where grieving relatives held a wake throughout the night, with the boy's body laid in an open coffin.
But an hour before his funeral was due to take place on Saturday the boy apparently sat up in his coffin and said: 'Daddy, can I have some water?'.
The boy's father, Antonio Santos, said: 'Everybody started to scream, we couldn't believe our eyes. Then we thought a miracle had taken place and our boy had come back to life. 'Then Kelvin just laid back down, the way he was. We couldn't wake him. He was dead again.
Mr Santos rushed his son back to the Aberlardo Santos hospital in Belem,where the doctors reexamined the boy and confirmed that he had no signs of life.
He said: 'They assured me that he really was dead and gave me no explanation for what we had just seen and heard.'
The boy's family decided to delay the funeral for an hour in the hope that he would wake up again, but ended up burying him at 5pm that day in a local cemetery.

They say every baby is a miracle. Some, however, face unusually long odds, from difficult pregnancies to harrowing births. Others had to defy the basic rules of science and medicine to be conceived at all. Here, six recent miracle babies whose stories made headlines:
1. The baby whose mom was set on fire, shot, and left for dead
This spring, three weeks before her due date, a pregnant 22-year-old Michigan woman was abducted, bound with duct tape, forced into a car, and driven to an empty parking lot. Her attacker doused her with lighter fluid, set her on fire, and shot her in the back. The young woman played dead until the assailant drove off, then freed herself and got help. She went into early labor and her baby boy was delivered via C-section. "She has to be one of the most courageous women I have ever encountered," says Louis Galasso, deputy police commissioner in the Detroit suburb where the attack occurred. The baby's father and his roommate have been charged in the crime.
2. The baby who received blood transfusions in the womb
When Katrina Dorroch, a Scottish woman, was diagnosed with parvovirus late in her pregnancy last year, her unborn baby developed a rare, potentially fatal condition called Hydrops. Then things got worse: The baby's organs started shutting down; his mother developed Mirror Syndrome, and her organs started shutting down, too. Doctors quickly gave the baby three intra-uterine transfusions, each consisting of about a teaspoon of O negative blood. The baby, now named Alex, is a year old and healthy, and his parents are participating in a campaign to urge others to donate blood, saying that's what saved their "wee miracle."
3. The baby whose conception itself was a miracle
Ohio residents Jennifer and Jason Schiraldi went to a fertility clinic and were told there was no sperm in Jason's semen sample. The news hit him hard: "It was as if somebody punched me in the chest." But the couple didn't give up. At the Cleveland Clinic's in vitro fertility lab, doctors performed a special operation on Jason to search for sperm, and after several hours, they found a single, lonely sperm. (A typical sample contains 60 million.) After further challenges — the lone sperm had to be frozen, then thawed, and it took three cycles for Jennifer to produce a viable egg — their 1-in-60-million shot worked, and the couple's daughter, Kenley — now 1 — was conceived.
4. The baby born after 22 years of parental infertility
Paula Lackie and her first husband tried to get pregnant for 22 years. Along the way, the Scottish couple adopted two children. When Paula missed her period, she figured she was starting menopause. Seven pregnancy tests later, she realized that her dream of getting pregnant had finally come true, at age 43. In April, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Isla, with her new husband Grant. "Every time I look at this beautiful miracle baby in my arms I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming," she tells Britain's Daily Mail.
5. The baby whose tiny weight almost defied the laws of science
Nicki Moore delivered her baby girl in January after just 24 weeks of pregnancy, and the girl weighed just 9 ounces. Doctors told the North Carolina woman that the almost historically small baby had less than a 1-in-10 chance of surviving. After more than four months in the hospital, Kenna is now up to 3 pounds, 3 ounces. She has been moved from an incubator to a crib, and doctors are starting to talk about the day when her parents will be able to take her home. "Science says that a lot of this isn't possible," Moore says.
6. The baby who defied death... three times
Little Charlie Collins, his mother facing dangerous pregnancy complications, was born by emergency C-section nine weeks premature. He had to be resuscitated at birth. "When he was born, he was completely blue, and had to be whisked away and put on a ventilator," says his mother, Lucy, a 29-year-old wedding planner in England. Over the next 24 hours, doctors told Charlie's parents three times that he would not survive. Charlie suffered a heart attack when he was 3 weeks old, but he held on. "He kept fighting," his mother tells Britain's The Sun, "and is now a very happy little boy, who's no different from any other 6-month-old."

Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding last year surely went down in the books as one of the most over-the-top parties in London's recent history, and this weekend another royal event made a splash. Literally.
Over a thousand boats gathered on the River Thames Saturday to help celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, officially breaking the Guinness World Records title for the largest parade of boats. It's estimated that one million people lined the river to watch the flotilla.
On the biggest boat of all, the Spirit of Chartwell (the official royal barge), were Will and Kate, Prince Harry, Prince Charles, along with the guest of honor and her husband, Prince Philip. The 210-foot vessel was covered in over 10,000 flowers, which held up surprisingly well given the poor weather conditions.

Naturally, Kate looked stunning in a red Alexander McQueen dress, topped off with a matching
fascinator. The boys were in their military dress uniforms and the Queen wore an elaborate white dress with matching coat and hat.

"Kate was saying 'hi,' 'hello' to everyone she saw and was smiling ear-to-ear despite the bad weather," an unnamed insider told Us Weekly. "William walked a step or two in front of her the whole time. She looked gorgeous in red - really slim and healthy looking."
On another vessel was the rest of Kate's family. Her mother and father, sister Pippa and brother James waved to the crowds from the Elizabethan steamer boat.

The celebrations honor the Queen's 60-year reign. She is only the second British monarch to reach a Diamond Jubilee.

Pop superstar Rihanna won't have to worry about running into ex-boyfriend Chris Brown anymore this summer, as she's packing up her rhinestone-studded fanny packs and leaving for London.
It's unclear how she'll manage to pack her bags with those day-glo talons of hers, but Rihanna is up and moving to London for the summer. The singer announced her trip via Twitter on Saturday, declining to reveal any reasons other than "life."
It's rumored the singer will be filming episodes of an upcoming fashion reality television program with designer Henry Holland and UK pop sensation Nicola Roberts. We'll definitely tune in, if only to see how many bling-encrusted baseball caps and teddy bear sweater dresses are featured in her wardrobe.
Perhaps Rihanna's just looking for an excuse to get as far away as possible from her ex Chris Brown, who recently dissed her via song. The two crossed paths as recently as Sunday, when they were both spotted at Greystone Manor Supperclub, but it's not clear whether they interacted.

Sometime after Chris Brown issued a thinly veiled diss at ex Rihanna in the remix of "Theraflu," he tweeted, "Assumptions! I didn't say any names so if u took offense to it then its something you feel guilty about." It seems that Brown is incapable of heeding his own words, as on Saturday he became enraged at R&B singer Brian McKnight, a fellow best known for his string of emotional boner jams in the late '90s, over a passive aggressive tweet without names.
McKnight, who has been experiencing a resurgence in popularity thanks to his ability to write snappy piano ditties with unprintable lyrics, tweeted, "Since everyone's so opinionated I'm taking suggestions on what I should do next I'm thinking rent a lambo and beat the sh-t outta my girl... that's acceptable these days. Or maybe have sex with a 14 year old girl an film it that's acceptable these days. Or let the court system let me make 35 million before I do my 87 days in a private cell for domestic abuse that's acceptable these days."
Yes: McKnight was clearly referring to Chris Brown, R. Kelly, and Floyd Mayweather, respectively. Naturally, Brown responded—but didn't ever directly address the R&B singer directly, because that would have been too mature.
"I see how this works now... When peoples careers get to the 'nobody cares' stage they use my name for publicity! Lol," Chris wrote. "I can't keep helping these old n**gas. Its miracle the way I'm bringing the dead alive! I would've gladly wrote you something that would make u look less irrelevant!"

Of course Brown's loyal Team Breezy fans took to their Twitter accounts to tear McKnight to shreds, prompting him to write, "I meant no disrespect to anyone I was merely pointing out that in today's society anythign goes and WE Are all to blame the end."

However silly, McKnight does have a point. People are enraged that he writes graphic songs about private parts, but are willing to buy records from the guy who probably married Aaliyah when she was all of 15.

The man of God has warned Nigerians flying local airlines in the country to be very prayerful while boarding any flight as, according to him, God has shown him an imminent plane crash.
Prophet Joshua said the crash will not be caused by technical fault but by a security breach.
In his words: “The plane crash, if not averted, will involved one of, Nigeria’s local flights. I wish to therefore advise Nigerians to pray zealously so that the country will
not experience such a disaster, which might claim the lives of many government officials.

A lecturer in the Department of Public administration at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Dr Gambo Abdul, has been arrested for allegedly harassing a male student Abubakar Abdulkareem into being his gay partner.

It was gathered that the student had severally rebuffed the advances of the lecturer who wanted him to be his gay partner but became agitated when the lecturer threatened failure if he refused to succumb.

It was gathered that following the threat from the lecturer who is from Minna, Abubakar reported the case to his parents. Consequently, the family of the student decided to investigate further and found out that the claim of their ward was true.

It was also gathered that the student was instructed to play along last weekend when the said lecturer invited him to a hotel located at Eastern Bye Pass in Minna. The lecturer made advances and was apprehended and taken to Chanchaga police division.

Abubakar told pressmen that his ordeal in the hand of the lecturer started over two years ago when he was doing his Diploma programme at the University before he gained admission for his degree programme.
He said that the said Lecturer was his caretaker which was why he was close to him but decided to stay away from him when he started to make illicit advances towards him.
When contacted the police Public relation Officer, Pius Edobo confirmed the incident, adding that the case would be charged to court.

In the condescending, passive-aggressive fashion that has unfortunately become Madonna's trademark, she told Newsweekback in January, "["Born This Way"] is a wonderful way to redo my song "Express Yourself." I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was… interesting." Now, as if to prove her point, Madonna is incorporating Gaga's song into her tour.

A former high school football who was wrongfully accused of rape and sentenced to six years in prison now wants the State of California to pay him for every day he had spent behind bars. Attorneys representing 26-year-old Brian Banks said their client is entitled to $100 a day for every day of his incarceration under state law.
Banks was exonerated this week after his accuser, Wanetta Gibson, admitted she had made up the whole story of sexual assault ten years ago and had been reluctant to come forward because of a large settlement she received from the school district.
The Los Angeles Times has reported that Gibson also had been worried it would affect her relationship with her two children, now aged four and five. Banks, a once sought-after linebacker, collapsed in tears in the courtroom on Thursday when his case was moved to dismissal.
Banks' exoneration came after Gibson sent him a friend request on Facebook when he left prison in February of 2011 with a tag. In a message, she explained she wanted to 'let bygones be bygones'.
Banks's lawyer, Justin Brooks, told KPCC that Gibson and Banks met and she was caught on video saying there there had been no kidnap and no rape, and would help him clear his record.
Yet she refused to repeat the story to prosecutors as she feared she would have to return a $1.5million payment she won after her mother brought a suit against Long Beach Schools. She was quoted as telling Banks: 'I will go through with helping you but it's like at the same time all that money they gave us, I mean gave me, I don't want to have to pay it back.'
The 26-year-old has said he does not plan to pursue legal action against his accuser, and Los Angeles prosecutors have said it is unlikely Gibson will be charged with making false accusations, saying it would be a tough case to prove.
Banks was jailed after Gibson accused him of rape in 2002, when he was just 16 and being heavily recruited by a number of colleges, including USC, which had offered him a full scholarship. He was on the way to the school office to talk about his college applications when he bumped into Gibson, a fellow student, and they went to a stairwell to make out, Brooks told KPCC. He pointed out that they did not have intercourse.
He explained that Banks said something to upset Gibson and they parted on bad terms. She later accused him of kidnapping her, dragging her across the school and raping her in the stairwell. Investigators tested her but found no physical evidence of rape, Brooks said. Banks maintained they had not had sex and all sexual contact had been consensual.
'Brian’s story is so compelling, and his case for innocence so clear, we knew we had to take this on,' said Justin Brooks. 'Brian lost a huge part of his life when he was unjustly sent to prison.
Brooks said Banks has remained on probation under electronic monitoring, has had to register as a sex offender and has had trouble getting a job. After the exoneration on Thursday, Banks added: 'My only dream in the world is just to be free... For years, I felt like a toy with the switch cut off, sitting on the shelf.'
Banks continues to train for what he hopes will be a future chance at a football career in the NFL. 'This is a kid who was a superstar,' Brooks added. 'He would be playing the NFL now if this hadn't happened.'

Knowles performed Friday and Saturday nights at the same casino, and has also scheduled shows for Sunday and Monday. Leave it to this gal to jump back into four back-to-back shows after a five-month break! She won't be needing the treadmill after this exhausting holiday weekend, that's for sure.
