4.99 mathematically = 4 99/100 (Simple arithmetic from primary school)

4 99/ 100 = 499 / 100

4.99 on a scale of 5 point is 499 / 500

this is possible only if he get one B from a 1 units course and the total number of units offered is 500.

for any B Sc score the total number of units is between 130 to 180 (depending on the school)

case A if total units is 130 and he get 129 then CGPA will be  4.961538461538462

case B if the total units is 180 and he get 179 then  CGPA will be 4.972222222222222

so how did they arrive at 4.99

Yes o, I have reasons to believe that 4.99 is undefined!!! I don't think any school has a unit course, GST's r the lowest but they come with an arithemetic value of 2 units. So let them talk o. Except they did rounding off which is not permitted when calculating CGPA.

Just so you know, the university I atteded, the obj questions was a nightmare. There were times when we had answers repeating themselves in the multiple choice options but the only difference between them was apporximately 0.0001<x<0.0009. Tell me how you would get an answer if given 50 of those questions?

Back to topic, OP, tell your friend t☺ write the next JAMB, no time is too for education. 1.48 CGPA is a very poor one i must tell you. Despite the fact that i played a lot in school, i even missed some lectures cos of my interest in chess game, i still narrowly missed a first. And i must tell you, the excuse of having sadists as lecturers ain't reasonable. She should use this as a lesson, graduating with a pass now is far worse than graduating with a 2.1 or 2.2 say in four or five years time.

Pain: She must have devoted her time to other things she may have considered priority. She should pick one of those favorite pastimes and develop on them. Perhaps her talent ins Pinging, Pimping, Pumping, Pulling etc. She should just pick one and "Ride" on it. You can always make it with your passion. I know a couple of talented ladies who own posh apartments in VGC & 1004 Estates. They were focused working thru the night while their mates slept. There was pandemonium in the Rumuola, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, at the weekend, when a disabled beggar allegedly caused the disappearance of the reproductive organs of four men.
Eyewitnesses said trouble started at about 11am last Friday at the Rumuola Junction when a male passerby raised the alarm that his reproductive organ disappeared after he gave alms to a popular disabled beggar.
The loud complaints from the victim immediately attracted sympathisers, who confronted the beggar on his wheelchair.
Three others, one of them a trader, simply identified as Chigozie, also raised the alarm that their organs "vanished" immediately they joined the fray.

The suspect's wheelchair was burnt.
The unrest was quelled by men of the Joint Task Force and police patrol teams, who dispersed the mob and rescued the suspect.
He was taken to the Kala Police Division with the four victims.
Policemen prevented relatives and spectators from entering the station, a development that further heightened the tension.
The angry youths later stormed the neighbourhoods, searching for anyone thought to be from the beggar's ethnic group, beating them up.
The suspect and victims were later moved to the Military Hospital on Aba Road for medical examination.
Eze Egba, a relative of Chigozie's, confirmed the incident.
He said he consulted a military doctor who facilitated the release of the victims and the suspect.
It was gathered that the medical examinations revealed that the victims' claims were baseless, as their genitals were found to be intact.
Not convinced of the medical confirmation at the military base, the victims were taken to a brothel for further confirmation.
There it was "confirmed" that their genitals were indeed intact and functional.
Contacted on the fate of the beggar, police spokesman Ben Ugwuegbulam said he was driving and could not give any information.

Barely two weeks after a young lady identified as Faith Akin was allegedly raped to death by a middle aged man, a similar incident has been reported at the Epe Police Station.
According to the report, 29-year-old Titus Ime raped his in-law, a 19-year-old woman identified as Blessing John, to death.
The incident occurred in a forest at Epe. The suspect allegedly trailed Blessing to her father’s farm, where he raped her to death.
Ime, reporting the incident, said he assaulted Blessing due to her refusal to date him. The rapist cum murderer blamed his dastardly act on his “great love" for the deceased.
“I just moved to Lagos from Akwa -Ibom State to look for a job when I met Blessing. She is my in-law, as my uncle is married to her elder sister," he said.
"As soon as I set my eyes on her, I fell in love with her but I kept it to myself. When I could not bear it anymore, I went to her to declare my love for her but she turned me down. I kept pestering her but she refused blatantly that she did not love me; this made me angry.”
Ime added that despite Blessing’s refusal to date him, he had to device a means to force her to have sex with him.
“I did not intend to kill Blessing but my feeling for her was very strong. So after monitoring her movement for some time, I discovered that she goes to the farm to uproot cassava in the evening with her father. That day, I trailed her from her house to the forest. She was alone and she did not know I was following her, when she got into the dense forest and there was no one in sight, I ran ahead of her and grabbed her, and started declaring my love for her but she turned me down.
"I was very angry and I grabbed her dress. She started struggling with me but I took a big stick and hit her on her head, she slumped immediately and I bend down over her and removed her skirt and had sex with her. All this while, she did not respond but I still had sex with her a second time but I do not know that she was dead; I thought she was just unconscious.”
After committing the act, the suspect hid in the forest for four days. He however came out of his hiding when he could not bear the hunger any-more, and reported himself to his family who then handed him over to the police for prosecution.
Blessing’s corpse were discovered by her father and has been deposited at a public mortuary for autopsy, while the case has been transferred to the Homicide department at Panti, Yaba for further investigation.

Looks like Kim Kardashian might be involved in a legal issue other than her divorce in the near future. Apparently the reality star is going to press charges against the woman who "flour-bombed" her at an event Thursday.

TMZ, who usually gets things like this right, reports that even though Kardashian only needed to make a trip to the cleaners following the incident, she feels the woman responsible should have to face the consequences of her actions. The outlet's sources also suggests the reality star wants to make it clear that people are entitled to their opinion (the woman called Kardashian a "fur hag" before coating her in flour), but violence isn't the answer.

After TMZ's report, Kardashian released a statement to E!: "I said earlier no I wasn't. [But] I am just going to think about it, because I don't want someone to think they can really get away with that."
