When I served in Lagos, I had lots of corper colleagues who schooled in various countries of the world coming back to Nigeria for their NYSC service. They obviously had seen a lot of things which you aren't yet aware of. I met one of my most wonderful friends when we were paired to wash pots in NYSC kitchen camp. As at when we met, she already had an LLM in International finance. I was also preparing for my Call to bar then.

Dimeji Bankole the Former Speaker of the House of Reps studied in the UK. When he was elected as Speaker, some people came up with a petition against him that he didn't serve in NYSC. It was his NYSC Cert that availed him.

Depends on your priorities. If you're gonna burn the NYSC bridge, better be damn sure you wouldn't need that bridge in future.

When I served, I had a guy in my Local Government who studied Aeronautic engineering abroad and had an Msc. As a corper, NYSC posted this aeronautic engineer to a Nursery and Primary school to teach.

Subsequently, NYSC introduced skills acquisition courses where graduates are taught how to fry puff-puff and make zobo drinks for sale.

This administration is obviously bent on breaking previous records it has set for itself in stupidity.

The confused NYSC DG issued a warning for corpers in Lagos but he forgot to issue warnings for the states where Boko haram is more active than the Nysc.

It would interest you to know that a very popular luxury vehicles dealership in Nigeria which was once implicated in a money laundering case sells used vehicles as new ones to its customers.

What it does is that when organizations are buying in bulk say 10 units of Landcruiser, they bring 4 brand new and 6 used. They usually bribe purchasing officers of their patron organizations to commit this crime. The vehicles they usually supply used ones are Hilux and Hiace.

Done it to some Landcruiser and Range supplied to some bank EDs that I'm aware of.

These ipob guys are going about things the wrong way and the whole momentum and awareness created by Ipob may end up being hijacked by politicians and aspirants.

No ideological basis, no direction, no superior argument, no plan of action, nothing! All we have is ridiculous costumes and instigating attacks so that they can cry victimization. If ipob is ready for business, they need to send a serious message to the world.

Firstly, they should initiate recall of all their elected representatives and senators in Abuja and replace them with persons sympathetic to the ipob cause.
The next thing is to ensure that only persons interested in ipob bd elected into political offices in the SE.

Not that they would be hailing thieves like Andy Uba and TA Orji and still be saying they want Biafra.

Was retained where I served in Lagos and it has been of immense professional benefit to me. I have a very nice boss who is willing to teach you and invest his resources in your professional advancement.

Years later, I'm managing other staff and taking executive decisions in that same firm.
