What do you know of the law? Are you ignorant of the fact that the prosecutors of FFK have a subsisting court order to hold him in custody for about 2 weeks? Are you aware that releasing him before the stipulated time could have legal implications? |

If you see him steal then cast the 1st stone but if u didn't, the striking to death by God may extend to u o for raising false allegation. Bw, ur Buhari dat is trying to remove the shiit in our eyes has a load of shiit in his... If you didn't see him steal, you can't conclude that he stole, right? Going by your analogy, since you can't see your brain, it's obvious you don't have a brain. Also by your warped logic, if he indeed stole, may u be struck by whatever God you believe in. |

Your 'God' needs to urgently give you sense so that you don't disgrace him further. |

A Nigerian man in the diaspora called me sometimes ago that he wanted to buy a land in Nigeria. I advised that he allows me check the land and its documents as well as handle the deal as I'm a lawyer and he promised to revert back. Unfortunately, when he called back, he said his father in-law had found another lawyer willing to accept one-quarter of the amount I billed him as legal fees. He accused me of overcharging and all.
After 8 months or thereabouts, he called me out of the blues and had to reintroduce himself as I had totally forgotten about him. In a shaky voice, he narrated his experience and sought my help.
According to him, his wife's father here in Nigeria suggested he buys a land in Lagos and builds a block of flats for rentals. When he suggested independent legal advice, his father in-law discouraged him and instead promised to get a "cheaper" lawyer. His father in-law collected money for a land at Surulere and construction of a block of 6 flats and other associated monies.
Whenever he requested for pictures of the project, his father in-law would send pictures of other people's building projects and our man would be smiling happily that he had an investment in Naija. After sometime, he came to Nigeria and decided to check out his 'house'; it was at this point that he discovered that his father in-law didn't buy the land not to talk of building anything. The old man had conned his own son in-law of tens of millions.
There are tons of similar experiences but the perpetrators don't get punished as they're usually close family members. |

Onisuru1: Hello all,
I am interested in buying plots of land at Ibeju-Lekki with the following specifications:
The land must have gazette,
I will be given my deed of assignment, survey plan and receipt immediately after payment
Budget : 900K to 1.5M max per plot.
Location :Anywhere from Eti-Osa land mark but before Eleranigbe, not to far from the express-road.
Have anything ?, please state on the thread and drop your contact. You forgot to add 'instant allocation'. No estate land being sold under 10M is instantly allocated. I've dealt with tons of estates and this has been my experience. Also, ensure ur surveyor conducts a search on the land before payment. You're the one to get who would prepare your Deed of Assignment and Survey plan. Don't ever let the seller do it for you as you've just shot yourself in the foot. The truth is that ur budget is really tight and you can buy at that price only from the landowning families in that area. You need to be very vigilant or else, you may buy land that has been sold to someone before or under government acquisition. I know these cos I'm a lawyer and I deal with these issues daily. |

The Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON), which owns 60 per cent of the airline’s shares, had dissolved the previous management and appointed Capt. Fola Akinkuotu, as its Managing Director.
