Please, save the picture above. When your daughter asks you why she should work hard to get her own money, show her the picture. When your son asks you why he should work hard to get his own money, show him the picture. |

Try to print fliers of your cab service and place in eateries around your location. In return, you offer advertising slot in one of your vehicles to the eatery. Most times, customers who patronize such outfits need cabs to comfortably ferry them to their destinations after a hearty meal.
Also, try to get a book in each cab for your customers to write their comments and observations on your service. Provide a slot for phone numbers. Send them sms messages from time to time informing them of offers and continued patronage.
Remember to provide numbers they can dial for cabs to pick them at a pre-scheduled time.
Cheers. |

itoese: Go to any IRS office close to you. Your business will be accessed. Then you make payment. From there your TIN no will be created. Though I am not sure of this, but you pay for the current year only Considering the amount you are likely to be slammed with as fine by the FIRS, I suggest you incorporate another company to save you the costs. Depending on who is incorporating your company, it can be done in 2 weeks. |

illiad: This kinda comment only come up whenever yoruba man is the criminal
But when it is other tribes & your regional bigots get down to denigrating an entire tribe people like you goes total blind
You fellas are hypocritical bigots, who only condemned tribal comments whenever your lots are in the dock.
If the name of that fella is to be changed at this moment from yoruba to igbo this thread would have by now be filled with all the yoruba youths who would take out their joblessness on a tribe that had done them no other wrong than working hard to overcome the inequalities of the nigeria state. Friend, it is not a Yoruba or Ibibio thing, it is an issue of good and evil. Your bigotry has blinded you to the fact that there are other ethnicities in Nigeria and you summarily concluded that I'm Yoruba. That is what tribalism does, it blinds you to the good in others and limits your thinking. I told the other boy not to let tribalism destroy his relationships with people offline. I suggest you adopt that advice as it is already blinding your scope of engagement. |

Business To Business › Re: Please I Need Your Suggestions. by MrMcJay(m): 7:25pm On Jun 22, 2015 |
DonUwaski: I and my partner have been thinking lately of a good business she can start at least to be making some really cool cash and keep herself busy as well.
Now we are looking into stuffs she can buy very cheap from Lagos and sell in Abuja at higher rate to make some profit.
Her capital is not much so if anyone can help suggest any unique stuffs we can be getting from Lagos cheap to sell in Abuja.
We do not intend to go into importation yet but will consider in the future so now we are just looking for something unique already in Lagos or its environs which we can get cheap and sell to make profit.
Thanks to everyone. I think she should consider buying these Adire clothes and sell it in Abuja. They are handmade made in Abeokuta and fetch considerable profits if sold in Abuja. I can link her with someone who can help her source them at Abeokuta where they are produced. Cheers. |
Business › Re: Why Can't Short Code Companies Help The Unemployed Youths And Reduce Their Fees by MrMcJay(m): 11:21am On Jun 22, 2015 |
raayah: I was talking to one 'Entrepreneur' on Nairaland bashing Nigerian youths , saying that they don't want to start their o connections own business.
I argued with him that he had 92k In his bank accounts and connections from his previous Job. He argued with me.
Look at OP now. She wants to start a business but cannot afford the 'setup' fee.
MrMcjay maybe you can help her with startup funds. LOL. Raayah, you had to drag me here? Okay. OP, I may not have the funds to give you, but I have an idea or two you can pick. The world of entrepreneurship is cold, hostile and gruelling but extremely rewarding especially in Nigeria. If you do not have the funds for your short code business, you may undertake a less capital intensive venture but still in the same field (like bulk SMS for example) and employ the experience and industry contact to your advantage. In the alternative, you can also leverage on the resources of those around you to defray the expenses of your business. For example, approach schools or churches in your area and offer to deploy your services for their outfits upon payment of a particular sum. Upon subscription, their members would receive daily alerts of information or prophecies delivered to their mobiles. Show the Church that they stand to gain revenue as well as pay off the initial costs after some time of continued usage. Go to the school and do the same thing. let the school add it to the bills prepaid by each student per term. Send announcements and notices to parents at no cost upon subscription whereas the school picks the bills. Sorry for the long post. Cheers. |

The most important thing is the mindset. Once that is in order, the thought process would be properly aligned and things would take shape.
In that same book the OP read, Robert wrote of what he called OPM (Other People's Money) It is one of the examples of 'leverage'. Ever heard of 'sales and return'?
@raayah They can't borrow money to start up something, but they can borrow money to attend interviews?
Dangote started with a loan of about 10k from his uncle, he is a trillionaire today. Do you want to tell me that there weren't some people with 10k as at when Dangote didn't have that amount of money? Where are they today?
Remember; Successful people have results to show and failures have excuses. |

Depending on your location, you can open a drycleaning and laundry outfit.
Also, You may buy tricycles and give them out on hire purchase.
You can lease a piece of land and open a car wash, barbing salon, laundry and a cool spot all on the land.
Finally, you can buy a land, get your documents and watch it appreciate in value. |
