So much was spent on security in Jonathan's tenure and you still had to run around online begging for security.

I don't see the sense in using ex militants to secure pipelines.

Firstly, When the militants were overtly bursting pipelines prior to the amnesty program, the quantity of oil stolen is the same as this time that they are guarding it. Goodluck's proverb of the goat and yam comes to mind.

Secondly, it is illegal for the government to commission murderers, thieves, criminals and felons to do the duty of security agencies. In saner climes, this is an impeachable offence.

Furthermore, it doesn't make economic sense for the government to pay these dumb thugs. Before payment, 400k barrels were being stolen. Now that security has been contracted to them, more than 400k is being stolen. Let us disengage the criminals and use the money to buy armor-piercing bullets for the military.

Let them go near d pipelines and the soldiers would show them 'change'.

Wow! That's cool. In 2012, we tried to bring him back for a lecture in honor of an eminent lawyer but Alhaja DSA scuttled it. We had to get another guest speaker before it could hold.

Some years ago, during the lunching of the Gani Fawehinmi Library in OAU, Ile-Ife, the Special Guest of Honour, Femi Falana made a remark. He said, "quote me for what I'm going to say, Babangida killed Dele Giwa."

I remember that day at Oduduwa Hall. That day, when Falana gave statistics of what the Federal government and its arms had stolen, my mouth went dry. I was close enough to see the VC go white as if he had seen a ghost. Dude was scared stiff!

After that day, Falana wasn't allowed to give speeches on campus. If he was to feature in any program, the DSA would withdraw the approval of such program.

If in Lagos, you are to receive minimum of 6 months notice. As it stands, the notice you were served is invalid.

However, if the landlord did you no wrong and is a reasonable person, you can discuss with him to find a way of amicable resolution.

The agent sees that you are anxious to move in and he wants to use that to his advantage. Tell him to refund your money immediately as you have gotten a better apartment.

Also, go to that area and ask the tenants or people living near d house for the landlord's phone number. it may turn out that you have been speaking to an impostor.

The agent wants to give you a derelict house which ypu would have no choice than to take since your present rent has expired. The present house is merely a facade. He has done that to a lot of people.

Take drastic steps ASAP.

Allocation isn't the problem. Tell them to show you the title document they have over the land. Also tell them to show you the document they used to buy from the original Omonile family which should be a Deed of Assignment.

This prevents you from long stories later.

OP, you are wrong in some of your positions. For one, Nigeria's Criminal Code as well as the Penal Code empowers private individuals (which includes security guards) to make arrests.

You are trying bring the American situation here, but you forget that even in the US, there are different legal systems for different states. Nigeria is a different kettle of fish entirely.

Learnt Amosun is a very close friend to PMB in the south west. PMB prefers the company of Amosun to any other person whenever he visits the SW.
Congrats and wish you a successful and progressive tenure.

They were both in ANPP in 2007 with SIA contesting as Gov and GMB as President. Both lost the elections and ended up in court. I guess the adversity they faced brought them together.
