There are over 3 million gigs on sale on Fiverr, so if you did not get into this marketplace early, you might struggle to see sales. Unless you come up with an EXCEPTIONAL, HOT-IN DEMAND gig that is not SATURATED or OVER FLOGGED. One thing you can do to speed up your sales is to use this grey hat trick. 1.Open 2 accounts. Ensure that you close some few sales in one account and use it to purchase gigs from another account. One of the challenges of making money on Fiverr is when buyers do not see any gigs in queue or see any positive comments. They move on. Even if it is $5, they prefer to spend the money elsewhere particularly on someone who has gigs in line and positive feedback. They believe they are getting quality and good service delivery. Remember to use a proxy or hide my IP software if you are going to be operating 2 accounts. If the authorities see you have twin accounts, you are screwed. Set your delivery time to 24 hours (express). You are buying your own gigs, so you can be late with your own orders. When you show you can deliver a gig in a matter of hours, you increase your chances of closing a sale. Fiverr buyers can be very impatient. Do not just fake orders and cancel them later. You should actually fulfill these orders. Put anything in a text file and deliver, it is only when an order is fulfilled, that you can then leave a positive comment. People are wary when 1 person leaves over 5 comments for one gig in 1 day. It is true that some gigs have repeat customers. But do not overdo it. 2.Moreover, you can swap sales with other Fiverr sellers. Tell them you will buy their own gig and leave positive feedback and tell them to do the same for you. This method is great because you are getting attention from different buyers and not just one as was the first case. Cheers! |
after all this talk talk, you will now end up selling the same old fiverr methods, freebacklink tool, social monkee, and the rest vomit. what do you do to make money on fiverr? tell us or stop saying storiesClearly you are a frustrated person. Jumping to conclusions and I am frankly making no sense with your nonsense. By the way I do not sell seo or traffic methods. And read the original post....it is about sharing Fiverr tips and tricks. And not people talking about what they sell on Fiverr. If you are really serious about making money, you would roll up your sleeves, research and find your niche. Instead of waiting for someone to feed you with a teaspoon of what gigs to create. Take a cue from Lakefist, he understands what the thread is about. I will be highly disappointed if you ever try to sell or advertise any fiverr related idea on this thread, because I dont see any reason why you cant just join other related threadShei, you go wait make I begin sell am before you are disappointed? It is true there are posts on making money with Fiverr. This thread is not for people who want to know what Fiverr is about? Most threads are for newbies. I tried to do something different by starting a thread by differentiating intermediate and advanced fiverr users from those just starting out. Some things have been said on other threads. But with hordes of pages to sieve from it takes a while to shuffle them out. The quality of this thread depends on what we make it to be. Well i didnt say that its a crime not to have personal website am,i said for startersis not compulsory let them start with free one and later migrate to paid version sikenaNo worries. This is what you should have said earlier. Instead of making it look like investing in building a website for $5 was a waste of money simply because someone is yet to make his first sale. No wahala with starting with a free blog and moving to a paid one. No wahala even using a free one. In my opinion, I just highlighted the benefits of one over the other because that is what I use. |
bro i quite disagree with you on the website creation and not using a blogger or wordpress. You were taught to use free wordpress and blogger, good for you. It is an option. But shooting down my claims on the basis of someone not making money on Fiverr as a premise not to pay 5 dollars for a site, does not hold water for me. As the saying goes 'better soup na money cook am'. $5 is a small price to pay and a worthwhile investment if you want to increase your Fiverr earnings. $5 and not $50....I do not really see what is the hullabaloo is all about, the benefits of a paid site clearly outweighs a free blog. If your gigs are on point, you would make even more sales with your personal site than a free one. Traffic is about quality and not quantity. A paid site ($5) smacks of professionalism. It shows seriousness. It makes it easier to sell your high-end gigs. And you can promote your site easier. There are no limits. There are many drawbacks for using a free blog. All this wahala because you do not want to spend roughly 1,000. Haba! |
One of the best ways to promote your gigs is to create a website. I would not advise wordpress or blogger. You can get people to build a site for you for $5 on Fiverr. Hosting and domain name should not cost more than 4k. Ensure that you build a website that comes with a slider that would scroll the services you render and testimonials of happy customers. Integrate the Fiverr order page with a 'purchase or buy now' link on your web pages. Here are ways to promote. 1. High Traffic Forums ( keyword + forum) You do not have to join everyone you see. Stick to 2-5 of the best ones. Have a signature backling to your site. Optimize with an attention grabbing keyword. Ensure your comments make sense. Look out for the forums with RSS feeds, so that you can comment early and get your signature seen by plenty of people. If you spam or comment just for the fun of it, you will not get anything out of this. Make posting in forums a habit, like checking your mail, facebook or Nairaland. Just do it frequently and move on. 2. Guest Blogging ( keyword + guest blogger) People are looking for fresh content they do not have to pay for. You can provide this as a guest blogger to your niche and have your URL optimized at the end for people to read. 3. Article Marketing submit articles to directories and leave your info in the resource box. 4. Social Media: Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Tumblr, Yahoo Answers. You know what makes this special is the speed that things can go viral. You need to be smart here and weave your gigs around things that are funny, controversial or test the IQ. You might also need to use the power of pre-selling, just try to help people by offering valuable information related to your gigs. Forget about trying to sell them anything. If your information is good, they will check you out. |
promotion of ur gig is d key. That is true. But if your gigs 'no make sense', it would never sell no matter what you do. The easiest way to create a sellable gig is to sell what someone is already selling and tweak it. You can either do it in lesser time or provide more value for money. Use the 'high rating' tab to see what is selling and create yours. Then you can start to promote! |
First step is to realize the type of gigs you set up. If your gigs are crap, there is trick or strategy that you can use. You need to set up gigs that have the potential to sell before implementing anything else. How many of them did you set up? The Fiverr game is about quantity and quality. Your gigs must be sellable and of good quantity so that you can average some sizable dollars daily. |
Fiverr kicked off February 2010. For many Nigerians, it became the easiest way to earn cash online. Fiverr is a phenomenon. You do not require a website. You do not need to look for traffic. Nigerians are allowed to participate. (Whew) And no one can scam you of your money, Fiverr holds it for you (unless you are greedy). But that was 3 years ago. Now making money on Fiverr is not as straightforward and easy as people think. Millions of people are selling services on Fiverr. And the new Fiverr V2 interface has made it extremely difficult to sustain a seller's success. Are you frustrated with making money on Fiverr? Have you been swallowed up by the competition? Ask your questions. This thread is not for people who want to know what Fiverr is about? It is not about how to open your account or collect your money here in Nigeria. It is for people who are already acquainted with Fiverr and are on the look-out for ways to make more money or sell their services or products better. Let's go there! |

The Good Book said it. You will eat of your flesh and drink your own blood. This is only the beginning. Even hell will reject your evil remains. For all the carnage and innocent lives you have snuffed....un go suffer am. |
Most of these peeps do not even know what Morsi looks like. Crowd for hire. 500 naira for a nitwit. |
Congrats eedriyz. Just because some people are not clocking those figures it does not make it impossible. If you are not making money on fiverr, go back to the board and see what you are doing wrong. When there is a will, there is always a way. |
8 months? What are you still doing there? Trying to get your money? |
Mr Olujames....gig is no longer live. Are you really expecting Nigerians to purchase your gig with naira? |
Fiver is not a place to make millions, but a place to make regular/weekly $10 or $15 unless your idea is really great and people love it. With that in mind, you will not have issues with Fiver. See my fiver page here - http://fiverr.com/clickadsnigeria.I understand that you are trying to give people an alternative and probably push another site for Nigerians to make money. But you have to avoid general statements 'Fiver is not a place to make millions'. Even though you tried to leave it open-ended at the end. I believe the damage has been done. There is no guarantee that the small jobs that you are pushing would be any better. It is all about approach, preparedness, mindset and if you are ready to work instead of looking for fast money. There are people making the money you are saying is impossible on Fiverr. Not in 1 day. Not in 1 month. But at least in over or less than 12 months. I know a Nigerian (female) who makes like $200 a day from her Fiverr gigs. She lives in Benin. She just researched and researched and boom! She works hard. I no go lie Before that she had never made a dime online before. So please do not generalize. I always believe if 'you can see it, you can achieve it'. In between that is for you to roll up your sleeves and be ready to work. |
Fiverr and info marketing all the way. |
See questions begging for answers. Poster.....answer! |
Fiverr is peanut money? And you are beating your chest that it is a fact? Ignorance is bliss. One man's meat is another man's poison. Fiverr cannot work for everybody. I could easily complain about forex trading and football betting too. |
Dumbo...this is the business section. Are you cross eyed or is 3rd leg blocking you from seeing your pc screen? |
I have been making money on Fiverr.com for a while now. I average over $2,000 a month with this site. Skeptics still doubt if this is possible. For a limited only for 6,000. I am willing to reveal all my secrets and I mean everything. The niches that I operate and the tools, I use to get my gigs done in 10 minutes or less. If you do not make money after this...I do not think you ever will. Still working on the site and other modalities. I am looking for only 20 people to prove that this works. So shoot me a mail, so that I reserve a slot for you when I am ready to go live. toluwalomo@gmail.com |
Based on popular demand, I am willing to reveal the niches that I operate in Fiverr. Contact me if you are interested. |
@ strongedition....Affiliate marketing is Ok. But pretty competitive these days. The heavy-weight internet marketers make it difficult for little guys to make money nowadays. I would suggest Fiverr or any other place that you generates traffic for you where you can sell a product or service. You can send me a PM if you want to ask any questions. |
Suhaibu....nice post. And it's obvious you are willing to provide value instead of running after the quick buck. Most would yap about making 5000 dollars writing articles and want to sell a crap shoot book about it. |
The 12th Commandment Thou Shall Take Action You have plans, goals and a vision. You have learnt the tricks of the trade. You have a mentor that you can call on if you are stuck in a piss hole. That is great. It is beautiful. However, what matters at the end of the day are the power moves that you make. Roll up your sleeves and get to work! Action engenders reaction. Let me know the commandment that hit you the most. Feel free to discuss. |
The 11th Commandment Thou Shall Enjoy thy Works You must enjoy what you do. There are many Internet businesses available. Find the one that is a lot of fun and does not look like work to you. Plug yourself right in and you might just have taken a major stride towards succeeding online. It is easier to deal with something that you love which also drives you. It is a big problem when money is your only passion. You would not have the patience or persistence to start from the bottom and reach for the top. You would probably lose your money to the scam with the biggest promises. |
The 10th Commandment Thou Shall Learn From Mistakes There is never a guarantee that you would hit the ground running. You may fail in the beginning. You may commit a few mistakes, here and there. This happens quite often. But this does not mean that your virtual business or online system is an epic fail. Try to figure out what you did wrong, pick yourself up and try again. The Internet greats like Ewen Chia, Marlon Sanders and Joe Vitale do not win all the time. Why should you? |
The 9th Commandment Thou Shall Remain Focused When you start spending time online, you will see that the Internet is a “distractor in chief” (if you do not know that already) when it comes to stealing time and attention. One minute you are searching for information for your business and the next you want to check up on the latest EPL transfer gossip.Time is money. It is a precious commodity that you cannot afford to waste. Ensure you divide your time between work time and play time. Never merge them together if you want to stay in the online game. Even with the best plan and the greatest blueprint in hand…internet marketing success will still evade you … if you are not disciplined. Many marketers lack the discipline to run a business online. Do You • Turn on the computer and check email. • Go to Facebook and read all the new posts on the wall. • Go to Twitter and post some tweets. • Go to a marketing forum and start reading all the new posts. • Read that new internet marketing book you spent money on. (But take no action) • Check out the hot niche someone was talking about on Google Trends • Calculate the money you would be earning if you made just one sale per day. How about two sales? • Go to your blog and tweak the design a bit. • Oops its....Time for lunch. Need I go on? I’m sure you can associate with at least some of these pretty useless activities. Did any of this add to your bottom line? Whilst some of these activities can be classed as passive marketing they are not really immediate money generating activities as such, Discipline is something that you have to consciously learn by forcing yourself to do things the way they are meant to be done. Write out your tasks or enter them in Excel the previous night or before going onto the computer. Prioritize the work based on urgency. Don’t divert. Don’t check your email. Don’t go on chat. Don’t open Facebook. Don’t click YouTube links as before you know it you will be watching eighteen videos of Beyonce or Nicki Minaj shaking their derrieres… These diversions may seem innocent enough but will cause you to lose focus and the cost you pay can be huge. |
The 8th Commandment Thou Shall See Visions If you cannot see it, you cannot be it. You need to know where you are going or anywhere would look like it. What are your goals? What kind of Internet business are you interested in? What do you want to achieve with it? What category of people are you targeting? What would you spend your earnings on? What is your Plan B, when the blue skies turn grey? You need to see where you are headed at every turn, avoid winking in the dark. |
The 7th Commandment Thou Shall Believe When Others Don’t Do let anyone stand between you and your goals. People will always talk. Believe in what you can do and stick to it like glue. You do not need people dousing your passionate fires or trying to cramp your style. Be strong and stay strong. It is your responsibility to know where you are headed, not any Tom, Dick or Harry. |
The 6th Commandment Thou Shall Not Quit Do you want to know the real truth about most people who succeed on the Net? They are willing to do what it takes to succeed. Failure is a part of success. Nothing great ever comes cheap. There will be obstacles. But the ones who succeed are those who turn obstacles to opportunities. Remember that you do not drown by falling in water, you drown by staying there. |
The 5th Commandment Thou Shall Learn Multi-tasking It is important to focus and take it one step at a time. You need to deliberately expand your horizons because there are highs and lows in the Internet world. If you want to earn a full-time income from the Net, you should not put yourself in an uncompromising position. Learn to diversify, generate multiple streams of income and see how you can exploit these businesses in different ways. |
The 4th Commandment Thou Should Be Willing to Take Risks Life is all about taking risks. A calculated risk will cost you something. But it does not destroy you or leave you unable to try again, if you fail. If you want to succeed and make money online, you should be willing to take premeditated risks. So you need to step out of your comfort zone. This is how the big boys play and how real things get done. You snooze, you lose. |
