12345DKO: Stupidity is returning APC and President Buhari in 2019 to Aso Rock. Both the PDP and APC have nothing good to offer Nigeria and Nigerians. They are just there to serve their selfish interest. It's just a pity that ours is just a society that can't see beyond it's nose which is why we are still screaming APC and PDP despite the fact that these two useless parties have done greater harm than good to we the people.
I will vote a neutral person and party not any of the self centered, incompetent, inept and hypocrites in the PDP or APC.
Thank you. Please tell us who, so we can vote the person too. That has always been the Question, WHO?? Thank you. |

We did the same thing with Jonathan, how did that work out? Turned out to be worse! geometricaxis: i made a comment some days ago that I will not waste my vote on Fela or any of the so called "youth" candidates because they have not shown any innovative thinking in their campaign, energy of youth, out of the box thinking, the expected social media mass movement etc.
All he seems to do is take pictures in Airport, speak english up and down and say I am a youth vote for me. he has not been able to distinguish himself in mobilizing the 87million youths which makes me think although he no doubt has good intentions, he is not in touch with Nigerians but an idealist. I begin to question if he has the quaalities required to LEAD. I think he himself needs to be led and schooled in the art of Nigerian politics.
You only have to read comments here to know that Fela is not in touch with the youths. You have to mobilise and inspire with your message first before you ask people to donate. he has failed to do that!! Would it be bad if YOU contest? Be there waiting for a yoot to come along and “inspire” you to vote. Anyway since all the New candidates have been Rejected, i guess its Sai Baba 2019 |

ijemishkisic: Nigerian politics almost always not for the interest of "populism," the best way is for us all to live our dear lives as "Sovereign Individuals". Am a Sovereign Individual! I decide my direction and focus on it, I carved my economic niche and now building it gradually to an empire from my station through a paradigm shifting " populist " technology that vested power to the common man without the influence n control of the Nigerian government and institutions.
I live in Nigeria, but am without borders, therefore am a world citizen as a sovereign individual. Long I lost hope on the government. Yes I rule my own world without borders and without the influence of the political establishment, Nigerian gimmicking politics, politicking and Politocracy.
We just have to be "Holistically unconventional". Sooner or later, government and its politics will realize how less relevant they have become, as billions of people would have embraced this populist technology and break their way to freedom from current political headaches to digital Democracy. God Bless you bro. |

Political parties are funded by electorates in all democratic settings. If we are not ready to contribute and make sacrifices, then I'm afraid, people like Tinubu, Fayose, Okorocha, Wike, Shakerau and co that are professional politicians will continue to dictate how our collective wealth is embezzled.
His request may sound absurd, but it's the normal process. It's just that Nigeria does not follow normal process. My objection with him is asking for "at least 1k" He should just say no amount is too small. This is why All of them have all indirectly endorsed Buhari for second term and so i say... Oluwadare: sincerely. You have enlightened opinion that is backed with explicit explanations. Ceteris paribus, if there is valid assurance from the corridor of power that at the eventuality of this administration (I.e after spending their eight years in power) they will allow power to move to the south as you envisaged, then I'd be really campaigning for them as seems to me that only south can restructure this country which I'm seriously clamouring for. Thanks bro. I do believe that power will be handed over to the south because the North knows the Unity of the country Depends on it and so they should know better. I am Not an ethnic bigot at all and i hate sounding like one but at this stage, we have no choice than to play politics the Nigerian way which is the ethnic way.. so in the end, we can still get to our goal of creating the positive change WE ALL want to see. |

"-Thirteen Boeing 747 cargo planes come to Nigeria daily. Offloading cargo then fly back EMPTY. - Five out of every six ships that berths in Nigeria return to their base EMPTY. - Over 180 million people eating, sleeping and contributing NOTHING to the world." --Smith Gibby
Nigeria produces next to nothing ... Most of the people are unfruitful ... Mediocrity has become a culture ... All the fingers are scooping the honey from Niger Delta. What is the problem? LEADERSHIP!
Men that misruled the country in their 30's and 40's demand the right to continue ruling in their 70's and 80's. They are spent, destitute of ideas, lacking in innovation, yet they insist they must continue to rule.
Over the years, they bastardized the national psyche, corrupted the values, divided the people, destroyed the national self esteem, turned Nigeria into the mockery amongst nations, yet they insist they must continue to rule. The result of their misrule are plain for all to see: The adults have no today, The children have no tomorrow.
They are gathering again, like insatiable scavengers, determined to pick the malnourished flesh from the sun scorched bones of Nigerians. The pitiless and self serving groups of bandits are visible again ... gathering on the horizon.
They should be resisted; they should be replaced. THINK NEW
Fresh eagles are rising over the landscape but the vultures will not give them room to fly. *Barr. Ebaye Ntan from the South South *Obadiah Mai Lafia from Middle Belt *Kingsley Moghalu from the East *Datti Ahmed from the North *Esosa Ize-Iyamu from South South *Kriz David from South South *Funmi Adesanya-Davies from the West *Fela Durotoye from the West *Omoyele Sowore from Diaspora And many, many more ... Fresh options; new generation
The people have to insist:
New Leaders New Faces New People New Political Parties New Methods New Policies New Nation New Nigeria NEW BRAND ... BRAND NEW
THINK NEW! THINK NEW!! Trumpet it from the ocean to the desert; from the rising of the sun to the setting of it. Let it reverberate from the hills to the valleys. NEW, NEW, NEW, Sweep away the old and let the NEW thrive.
THINK NEW! Citizens: demand a New Nation; it is your right.
Nigerians, THINK NEW!!! If only they would listen... IF ONLY THEY WILL. Go to a thread about any of these candidates on Nairaland and see what people talk about them and the kind of curses that are hurled on them by the so called leaders of tomorrow and you will abandon this cause immediately. |
Politics › Re: I Have Finally Decided To Support Buhari's Bid For A Second Term And Here's Why by MrMystrO(op): 10:15pm On Sep 11, 2018 |
Oluwadare: Now this is a thread that gives room for matured and constructive arguments. I expect any deep, radical or orthodox thinkers to have concluded by now that no matter how much as a Nigerians we want better country for ourselves, hence trying to change the current government, there is just no viable competent hands from the major opposition parties we have right now in the country.
I'm open to more viable and better option candidate that can try his/her luck as a president of this great country, but certainly not from the current individuals from the opposition parties we have now. Hence, I'd say I'm partially leaning towards the Op opinion. Glad to meet someone at last with a Rational mind like yours. These days it seems like supporting Buhari is synonymous with Not wanting the country to progress. But as a Rational true Progressive, one should be able to see that Nigeria as a country is very Ethnically Divided, and so that means Competence comes second to ethnic background when the nation is selecting its leader, a sad reality. Since then the southerners are usually more progressive minded than the North, i have decided to place my stakes on a southern presidency as the 'closest' path to us getting someone with a progressive and 21st century mindset as president. And so to achieve this goal, The current president should be allowed to have his time, paving way for the two parties to be able to present different candidates from different parts of the South(either SW/SE/SS) for us to choose from.. thereby greatly increasing the chance that we might pick someone with the mental capacity and competence to engineer a real positive change in this country. Thanks for sharing your thoughts bro. |
