Easy, calling me a liar when you don't even know me. I haven't called you any name, have I? Let's try to be civil. At least, pretend to be diplomatic.

Voltaire said, 'I disapprove of what you say, but I defend to death your right to say it'.

Voltaire was a wise man... Go figure.

Y'all claim to be more enlightened as atheists so I was expecting much better sense of reasoning from your lot.

trapQ:
Op you need not worry, I'm with you. Everyday signs and wonders and prophecies become fulfilled, yet they turn blind eyes. Archeologists have discovered that the red sea crossing actually took place as they have found the remains of the chariots deep in the red sea- but the atheists continue to argue and cuss GOD. Last year, the river Euphrates just dried up as prophecied in the bible too.

No one is forcing anyone to believe but to go about insulting others beliefs is uncalled for.
Thanks bro... Your support is appreciated.

Atheists, answer the simple question. Wetin God do youhuh That your mind will not rest until you convince yourself He doesn't exist. You are not convinced and attacking those who believe is a way of convincing yourself... I'm cool with everyone, but we should learn to respect each other...

Aww. So you're actually jobless. I'm sorry about that.
Back to the matter, will you die if you stop attempting to take my beliefs to shreds? Think about that...

Keep your skydaddy stories to yourself then you won't have to worry about atheists subjecting him to ridicule. Like i always say, those who don't want their beliefs laughed at should not have funny beliefs.
Au du contraire, I'm not "worried". I just want to know what your problem is. Like you should have enough common sense to know, everybody is entitled to their own belief.
If you believe you are a product of evolution, good for you... Believe me, I am not laughing at you. Mr Cold, you know nothing.(It is not an insult). I did not tell any "skydaddy story", you know that. I'm expecting your next barrage of vitriol fueled words... Be quick with it. Not everyone is a jobless atheist seeking revenge on God.

You should comprehend enough English to suitably answer this question. Why are you so pissed about anything God? And Why is a funny belief being attackedhuh

Christianity EtcWhy The Atheists Attack Christianity? Answer To The Transgender by mrnigeria(op): 7:01pm On Aug 04, 2015
It is no news that every article written by the average atheist is designed to attack the judeo-christian God. I read an article earlier today about a transgender who took the word of God out of context and twisted it to suit his end. I'll tell you what I discovered from the twisted article.

DENIAL: For you to call God a monster, it means you admit He exists. For you to say you would rather burn in hell means you have considered the possibility of hell's existence.

ANGER: The subcutaneous anger, a subliminal reason for the transgender to write such a misguided article. Maybe society was harsh to him. It doesn't mean God does not exist.

THE GAMBLE: It is a choice. A life of holiness, or a life of poor self restraint. If hell doesn't exist. Well, you gambled. If it does, you will have a eternal supply of suya from your own body.

Finally, I've seen God. He's everywhere. You have freedom to say He doesn't exist. I have a conviction that He does. I am not going to force you to share my belief, but you also have to respect my belief.

It is a shame that the minority who are asking for respect and equality do not understand what it means at all... You atheists are free to attack me, it just shows your anger and confusion. God is alive. Long after you are dead, He will be. Respect that.

I come waving a white flag... I come in peace, I respect the vitriolic abilities of the e-warriors. 2015 is coming, and we are all contributing our parts toward the elections. Some of the little actions, posts and tweets go a long way in improving the public image of our favorites for the seat of Presidency. But, are we doing the right thing? I will never trade my opinion, my free will, my choice and my vote for money. If you are here, doing such, campaigning for pay, attacking people online because you are paid to do so, I pity you. You have sold your soul. And you have no right to complain when the harvest comes.
What does it matter, what part of the country a person comes from? What does it matter the name of the party? What basis does sentiment hold? Why will we allow cultural differences, selfishness and greed to hold us back? Isn't our country worth fighting for?
We have a future, my friends and we decide our own future. If you sell it by campaigning lies now, you will pay dearly for it, sooner than you think. Bob Marley sang,"In this great future, you can't forget your past". Some of us forget very quickly when we are handed money. Cheap!
Vote. Vote with rationality. Vote with a clear head. Vote and decide the future of your kids. Vote and contribute to the future of your country.
Note: E- warriors, please don't attack me. Don't attack me, have some self respect, some shame, for selling the truth, and selling it cheap.

If you can't do that, you need to keep shut and listen when people talk. My son will school you on English. You probably will not understand what he says.
A picture? You have a son? And you are this stupid? Obviously it will rub off on him. Borrowed deity? Well you gotta believe you exist by happenstance. I've obviously brought myself low by talking to someone with a low esteem. Someone who sums up his life in pictures? FYI, I got nothing to prove. Even if I showed you a pic of where I live, you wouldn't wanna believe it. Besides, its no use bragging about my dad's money. Shove ur expatriate mentality up your ass... Y'all be thinking you are better than resident Nigerians. I won't reply you again. And don't even compare money or lifestyle. I'm so busy balling I rarely post on nairaland. That is enough evidence. Let my accent suck. Real folks don't worry about their accents... You got the inferiority complex tho... I'm sure it would be better than the erudite sound you picked up somewhere in the UK. RomanceRe: On Nigerian Women And (lack Of) Future Ambition by mrnigeria(m): 7:05am On Sep 23, 2014
safarigirl: If you're one who has stayed within the female hostel of any Nigerian University, you'll find that most of it's occupants share similar hopes and dreams- and no, it's not to excel in their chosen career paths.

One of the lecturers in my school aptly described women as 'a waste of education'...no, it wasn't an insult, it was just stating the obvious. You find a woman who has hustled through primary, secondary and University education. One who looked set to be a force to reckon with in the world of business or law or medicine, I mean a female with straight A's and you think Nigerian women may be getting things right, only to follow her back to her hostel and hear these heart-breaking words:

"Omo, after school na to find husband marry remain."

In the real sense of the word this is translated to:

"After school, I'll fling my degee inside one iron box in my dad's storeroom, find a perfect mugu that will put a ring on my finger, buy me a car, set up a boutique/beauty saloon for me and all I have to do to get this is spread my legs for him and push out little people with his DNA"

Nigerian women view marriage the same way hustling Nigerian men view the US Green Card- an avenue to escape life's troubles. So in the same way you find 23 year old Nigerian men marrying 56 year old American women, you find young, promising women relegated to some man's priority list.

I don't think most Nigerian women realise that nobody wants to get attached to a leech. If you allow some Nigerian women, they would even want their husbands to carry the babies and birth them as well. And when you ask why they don't want to build wealth with a man, you hear:

"I've already suffered in my father's house. I don't want to continue suffering in my husband's house"

Now unless you're getting married to a no-good leech like yourself, there is no reason why building wealth with a man should be termed 'suffering'

Even on Sun Newspaper's 'Beauty Of The Week' it's the same thing.

Future Ambition: Getting Married And Having Kids

If you think God put you on this earth to make a liability of yourself, you need to think again. There is more to life than being someone's baby mama. There is a purpose for getting an education that lies beyond being able to speak good english whenever you and your man attend social functions

Nigerian women need to sit down and re-evaluate their lives. God sent you to assist a man, not to add to his problems. Men appreciate women who can think for themselves, who want to contribute to the family (and I don't mean churning out kids). There is nothing more endearing than a smart woman who views men as companions rather than money bags.

Don't waste the education your parents worked so hard to provide for you. Break the stereotype, Nigerian women should be more than gold-digging leeches. If the likes of Oby Ezekwesili, Joke Silva, NOI can be successful career women as well as wives and mothers, then we all need to dust up our certificates and CVs and have proper future ambitions.

God Bless You...and don't take this the wrong way grin
If they like, let them take it the wrong way. All I know is, the mind set of most of these girls is very bad... What makes them different from girls that aint got no education?
RomanceRe: Why Nigerian Ladies Should Never Settle For Less by mrnigeria(m): 4:16pm On Sep 21, 2014
safarigirl: Being born into a society such as the Nigerian one connites certain things for a female.

From the day you can tell your right from your left, you're basically taught to be subservient to men. You're told that your place is in the kitchen and your brothers' place is in front of the television. Most of all, you're told that your only purpose in this world, is to fulfill the desires of some dude, serve him and bear his children. You are not to aspire for anything more and failure to live up to these expectations means failure as a person.

Well, this thread was inspired by a certain thread that was on FP today:

https://www.nairaland.com/1911041/why-nigerian-girls-should-not

Now, the stupidity of this thread is baffling. Basically, it's some lady telling females to settle for less. Telling us that we do not deserve the best and we shouldn't make any efforts to aspire for such because that would be foolhardy.

I honestly sympathise with her that she was unable to get the man of her desires, and eventually chose to settle for Plan B, who in fact was not what she desired, but as they say, when the desirable is not available, the available becomes desirable.

Time and again on Nairaland you find numerous chauvinists telling women basically that they have no opinion, telling us that we ought to dance skelewu because one of these rare species called 'men' looked upon us with pity and decided to marry us. And for those poor souls like Rita Dominic, Linda Ikeji and Genevieve Nnaji who are yet to be honored witha wedding ring? They should keep praying the rosary and hope they don't die 'marriageless'

Marriage is the be all and end all of a woman, therefore, she must settle for a raggamuffin if she hasn't found a gentleman at the ripe 'OLD' age of 27. Once you're through with University, your next bus stop should be a man's house.

Many women have ended up in loveless, frustrating marriages after settling for less, because all your friends got married after University doesn't mean you must marry at that time. Don't be the one whose story ends with 'Had I Known'

Feel free to live a little, keep your head on your shoulders, walk with your chin up, if you want your man to be as tall as Lebron James, don't settle for Tom Cruise, if you want him to be as charming as Antonio Banderas, don't settle for Al Pacino, if you want him to be as fit as CR7, don't settle for Mr. Ibu. If you must settle for less, let it be reasonable, don't go from a Lebron to a Kevin Hart because you're 'getting old and all your mates are married" no be who marry first dey happy pass.

Even the bible says "ask and it shall be given unto you" so if you tell God "I will manage..." He will bless you with a 'manageable' man.

God bless you as you settle with the best smiley
Its not about subservience. Just make sure you don't misplace priorities. If you have dreams follow them. Most babes got no dreams tho. Except for a dream prince. There is no ideal man or generic. Every woman has her prince. But to set ideals in ur mind robs you of a lot. A whole lot of satisfaction in life. I need you to read the thread you referred to again.
