Some days back,I and my Sista
went to pay a visit to a
broda,*Desmond* who was admitted at the Wuse General
Hospital,when we entered the
men's ward where Desmond
was,we saw all kinds of assorted
Sicknesses. A guy's leg was
amputated,a seven year old child's
arm was cut off,a guy with HIV/
AIDS was groaning cause the
virus had eaten deep into his
system and he looked like a
skeleton. A middle aged woman
according to the nurse was
thirteen months pregnants;
another young lady was peeing
through pipe.
Different kinds of calamities and
very horrible situation,it was
some how excruciating to me,then realized that in every
situation we finds ourselves,we
should always give thanks to God.
Even if we have just a pair of
shoe,or clothe,we should always
wash and wear them and give
thanks to God,because those in
the hospital do not even think of
material things,all they want is to
be healed,and beside we are not
better,wiser,st ronger,beautiful
than them neither are we faithful
than them.
Its just by the mercies of God
Almighty that we've not been
Stranded. For his Ineffiable Love is
Incessant.
Let this story impel you to say
"THANK U JESUS".

Akintola Abdulrahman Akinola He graduated with a First Class in Biochemistry from the prestigious University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 2010. He was the Best Graduating Biochemistry Student, UNILORIN, 2009/2010. On completion of the compulsory one year national youth service (NYSC), he enrolled for his Masters Degree. He was appointment as Assistant Lecturer towards the end of October, 2012. He submitted his MSc project work on Thursday, 29th November, the project he was supposed to defend on Tuesday, 3rd December, 2012 but unfortunately he died on Friday, 30th November, 2012 in the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) . The doctors, till now couldn't identify the nature of his ailment and the cause of his death. His last post through his BlackBerry phone was "EVERYTHING WILL SOON BE OVER" ARE YOU STILL SAD THAT YOUR ADMISSION WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL THIS YEAR? My mom only had oneeye. I hated her… She was such an embarrassment. She cooked for students and teachers to support the family.
There was this one dayduring elementary school where my momcame to say hello to me. I was so embarrassed.
How could she do this to me? I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school oneof my classmates said, ‘EEEE, your mom only has one eye!’
I wanted to bury myself. I also wanted my mom to just disappear. I confronted her that day and said, ‘ If you’reonly gonna make me a laughing stock, why don’t you just die?’
My mom did not respond… I didn’t evenstop to think for a second about what I had said, because I wasfull of anger. I was oblivious to her feelings.
I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her. So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study.
Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. I had kids of my own. I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts. Then one day, my Mother came to visit me. She hadn’t seen me in years and she didn’t even meet her grandchildren.
When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited.I screamed at her, ‘How dare you come to my house and scaremy children!’ GET OUTOFHERE! NOW!!!’
And to this, my mother quietly answered, ‘Oh, I’m so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address,’ and she disappeared out of sight.
One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip. After there union, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity.
My neighbours said that she died. I did notshed a single tear. They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.
‘My dearest son,
I think of you all the time. I’m sorry that I came to your house and scared your children.
I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I may notbe able to even get out of bed to see you. I’m sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to youwhen you were growing up.
You see……..when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As amother, I couldn’t stand watching you having to grow up with one eye. So I gaveyou mine.
I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye.
